It was a lovely day in Desu Ex. The sun was hidden behind a mass of fog, there were no birds to be had, and he had not been given any missions what so ever. Yes, Jason considered this a good day. But as far as he was enjoying this wonderful morning, there was still something that bothered him. Summoning his weapon, he held it up towards the little light there was. It still took his breath away, taking a rare moment to just marvel a the designs of the hilt, the glowing blue runes on the side-
Ignoring his weapon, he pondered over his problem instead. He was pretty good at swinging it around, but there was a big different between swinging it and actually having some skill. It was a problem he wanted to rectify. Jason un-summoned the blade and decided to just do some sparring. That should help him, right?
The moon hunter moved briskly towards the training arena in hopes he could find a willing hunter.

Robert was already in the training arena, beating a dummy into submission. Jezebel lay useless on the floor at his feet, summoned but forgotten, as his fists tenderized the stuffed training dummy with hard, satisfying pounds. He'd initially come to train with his weapon, but after a while, he'd just started hitting it. It felt so good to hit things again, just punch them until they felt softer in his hands. He imagined someone's face behind that dummy - someone who deserved to be softened and bloodied very, very much. It felt so good. He heard the footfalls of someone coming up behind him, and his fist swings slowed to a halt as he turned around and picked up his weapon. The face was unfamiliar, but at this point, it didn't matter. "Sup."

...Oh ......Ooooh ...........Oh s**t To see the moon hunters face now, one would have to realize he looked very much like the actual moon. What with how pale he was at the sight of the very large and muscular man beating the ever loving s**t out of a training doll. It wasn't hard to imagine himself in the doll's place, reliving the memories of highschool where the local jocks would give him the absolute pleasure of meeting the inside of a toilet bowl. Grimacing at the unpleasant thought, Jason gulped when Robert turned around and greeted him. At least he...didn't look like he wanted to pummel him. "Y...o....o" He said slowly before clearing his throat. "Umm...you looking for...a sparring partner?" He tried to keep his voice from cracking on the edge of that sentence.

He was, actually, but the hesitance in Jason's voice made Robert wonder if taking him up on the offer was such a good idea. He used to enjoy beating on new trainees, too. But for a while now, everything seemed a little less enjoyable. As if his time at Deus was slowly numbing him. Maybe they were poisoning him with a drug in the food that made him feel this way. All he knew was.. punching Jason's face in didn't sound like fun anymore. But he needed the practice, no matter what. "Yeah. Summon your weap, let's go a few rounds." He already had Jezebel in his hand, and he twisted her a few times, moving away from the sparring dummy to take position across from Jason. poke mattix ((sorry that took so long bby <3))

Well. That was easier then he thought. And not as painful as he thought too. At least not yet, he might not be so lucky during the actual fight. The weapon Robert was carrying was a lot bigger then his.

Jason was going to blame his shitty aim on being distracted by his weapon. Yes, he was going to go with that. It was completely and utterly his perverted weapons fault his swing had gone wide.

Robert jumped back at the yell, staring at Jason for a minute, and trying to decipher what he could have meant. He already knew the guy was talking to his weapon - that kind of thing was common around here, and nobody thought you were crazy if you were talking to yourself. But what the hell was he imagining..? "Keep it together, bro. In your head. Whatever the hell you ARE imagining." Robert decided, at that moment, to stop trying to figure it out. Then he slammed Jason across the side of his body with Jezebel. A hard, straight forward attack. HP: 49 Damage: 7

Inwardly grumbling, Jason narrowed his eyes and tried to tune out the lingering snickers from Zanthvos so he could deal with the current situation. Robert was coming towards him, and he had no time to move out of the way. So instead, he took the brunt of the attack. But as Robert swung, he moved his foot in front of Robert's path to trip him up. He then struck out with his own sword at his, hopefully, unprotected side. At least now Zanthvos appeared to be concentrating on the actual fight, and not taking dibs at him. HP: 33 Damage 7 Charge: 1/3

Robert fell crashing to the ground like a tree, only to wince when he felt the weapon slamming into him. He lurched forward with Jezebel, but his swing missed entirely from being on the floor. So he used her as a crutch and pushed himself back up to his feet instead. "Nice trick, kid." He grumbled begrudgingly. He wasn't going to let Jason play that again, though. Now, he was guarding himself better. HP: 42 Damage: robert

There was a brief moment of undiluted pride, a very rare thing for him to feel. He had faced danger, calmly thought of a plan, and implemented it perfectly. Jason did his best to hide the small smile at his victory while Robert acknowledged his skill. Now his opponent was a lot more aware. He didn't think he could pull off the same move twice, so he'd have to come up with something different. He rushed at Robert with his sword held over his head. But as he drew closer, he pulled his arms backward and swung the blade around, and then brought it down in a diagonal strike instead of a vertical. HP: 33 Damage: 4 Charge: 2/3

The strike was typical, and easy to counter, but Robert accepted the hit, wincing as it struck him. It offered him an easy open, and he took that, as well - slamming Jezebel directly into Jason's stomach, hilt first. HP: 38 Damage: 4

Now it was Jason's turn to wince, resisting the urge to hold his stomach as the wind was knocked out of it. But since he had a up close and personal view of his opponents hilt, perhaps he should take a page out of Roberts book... Twisting the blade around, he pushed upwards, slamming the hilt of his own sword into Roberts chin. HP: 29 Damage: 6 Charge: 3/3

"OW! YOU SON OF A-" This fight was quickly turning into a close encounter, where weapons did more damage but were harder to manipulate. Robert considered smacking Jason in the head with Jezebel, but by now, he was just starting to get frustrated with being knocked around. So instead, he punched Jason right on the top of the head with his fist. HP: 32 Damage: 6

Okay, so. Jason did not expect this. As such he was utterly taken by surprise. He even bit his tongue as his head was sent straight to the ground, where he lay on the floor for a few vital moments. "Owww..." He groaned, then remembered he was supposed to be fighting and not laying down on the job. He pushed himself into a crouch, then pushed forwards with his sword in a awkward jab at Roberts feet. HP: 23 Damage: 3 Charge: 3/3

And then, spiralling through the depths of space and time, Robert came down upon poor Jason like an angel of death. All that was visible was a cloud of dust. HP: 29 Damage: 12 poke mattix literally laughing so hard at how belated this is PLUS this ridiculous roll PLUS this ridiculous post I had to write it super ridiculous just to honor how bad this was omg ilu XD
