After all the mayhem and utter destruction wrought on them, Jason found himself with...very little to do. He could not train, he could not do any missions, he couldn't do a single thing. Besides mope, but then he did that anyway. Right now though the moon hunter was taking a rather leisurely walk around the ground, because there was seriously, nothing else he could do.
As he moved through the training grounds, he nearly tripped into a large puddle of mud. Had it been raining recently? He couldn't be sure, but for now he was just thankful he had not fallen face first into the dirty substance. He was used to having all kinds of substances on his coat, but to get that much mud out at once...no, just no.

Ariane had been more than just upset about Bix's death than she initially thought, especially after talking to Gale; sure, they might not have been BFFs, but they got along, and were growing closer recently... It felt like they could have been good friends, if only he hadn't passed away on the previous mission.
She scowled, stopping at a puddle of mud that had formed beside the path leading into the Jungle outpost; she had walked here out of habit, but stopped right at the outskirts of the jungle. It wasn't safe to go in there, not without a weapon... Ugh, she couldn't believe how much she missed Kintama and his many lewd remarks.
Spotting a rather familiar figure standing nearby, seemingly preoccupied with looking at another puddle of mud, she at first opened her mouth to yell a greeting, only to pause suddenly. With a grin, she slipped out of her coat, hung it up on one of the shorter tree, scooped up a handful of mud, packed and shaped it into a ball-
And then a ball of mud went flying at Jason.

You know, It wasn't...so bad without Zanthvos. Sure, he was as weak as a puppy, but it was peaceful now. He didn't have to worry about him making uncouth comments and observations, nor would he had to consider any of his 'advice'. Yeah, yeah! He was totally cool with it
It took around 3 seconds for Jason to sigh and hang his head. Who was he trying to kid? He was utterly lost without his sword, and lonesome too. As much as he didn't want to admit it, the fallen angel did provide a measure of company-
The moon hunter, too preoccupied in his own thoughts, did not see the projectile until it was far to late. A slight sound form behind made him turn around only to have his face splattered with mud. But not only that, but as he stumbled back with a hand rising to his face, he tripped over his coat and fell back into the mud with a nice loud squish.
"....Why meeee" Jason groaned pitifully.

Ariane felt better already.
"Hey, you," She grinned, pushing away the sadness that still lingered; Bix wouldn't want her to be this upset anyway... And Kintama would hate for her to mope around, "You're Jason, right? Remember me?"
She was in the middle of making mud ball number 2.poke mattix look at my bootiful tag to you

Oh yes, Jason remembered her alright. It wasn't hard to remember getting your a** handed to you by a girl whom had bigger balls then you (he meant her weapon of course. Figuratively she still had them bigger). And now as he sat in the muddly puddle looking more mud monster then human, he frowned. "That wasn't very nice" The moon hutner sulked, and then realized she was gearing up to throw him a second round. Not if he could help it. Normally he was quite chivalrous, but he would make a exception this time. Quickly his hands grasped a large glob of mud, and flung it at the very clean Ariane.

It was too late for her to dodge the mud ball that Jason had flung towards her, so she decided to take it. Like a man.
"That wasn't very nice," She repeated what he said back to him, except that she was grinning, and very obviously just trying to mimic his tone. She was also attempting to wipe the mud off her top, only to end up creating an even larger mess. She then went on to preparing her second mud ball, throwing it at Jason's direction once it was ready in all its muddy glory.

"HA!" Jason shouted, then clasped a very muddy glove to his mouth. Okay, he shouldn't have laughed, he had just thrown mud at a women. Although Ariane didn't seem upset at her clothes being ruined. Hell, she looked like she was enjoying it. Especially when she was impersonating him. Alright, all bets were off. As the other mud ball was thrown at him Jason dived to dodge it (and ended up getting even dirtier. Not a smart move on his part). But he did managed to put together a nicely sized mud ball of epic proportions, and like a bomb he threw it with lethal force at his adversary. "Take that!"

Ariane tried to dodge the second mud ball, but failed; it splattered on her pants, leaving a brown stain that would probably be a b***h to wash out once it's dried. She was thankful that she decided to hang her coat up first... At least brown on black wasn't as obvious as brown on white.
"NOT GOOD ENOUGH," She yelled, and then scooped up two fistfuls of mud, "EAT MUD!" With that war cry, she hurled the mud at Jason; most of it dripped to the ground before it could reach him, but she figured that it would be like muddy rain... Not that it would make that much of a difference, really, judging from all that mud that was already on him.
Ew.

Yup, Jason was a mud monster, and he was raring to exact his revenge on the being that had changed him. Oh yes, he was going to get his own back. But first, he had to wipe his mouth before he got used to the taste of mud pie. "OH YEAH?!" His hands clutched more glob fulls of mud, but he did not throw them. Instead, he wadded out of the muddy puddle, his destination set on the other hunter. If he got close enough, he was going to give her a big, warm, covered head to toe with mud, hug.

"Oh no you don't. Don't you dare," Ariane backed away the moment she sensed what her opponent was going to do, glaring at the other hunter; she was fine with a mud ball fight - since that reminded her of a snowball fight, except messier and dirtier - but she was not fine with a hug or any sort of close bodily contact... Especially not from Jason, he-who-does-not-have-figurative-balls.
Unless it was punch or something. She would take a punch from Jason.
Because she would punch him back.poke mattix I feel like they should chase each other around to some Yakety Sax.

There was a evil grin on Jason's face. Because he was. He totally was. He wasn't fazed by her glare, oooh no, he was dead set on getting his own back. This was so much different then a fight with weapons; he wasn't going to hurt her, just get more mud on her. It was full on payback. "Come back here!" He suddenly shouted, picking up the pace from a walk into a slow run to draw it out. He had both hands raised, clutched around the dropping piles of goop that he fully intended to use as well. Perhaps he had grown himself a pair of balls? ...Probably not. Dragain That would be awesome owo

Noticing the grin on Jason's face, Ariane decided that she had no other options - there was no way she was getting close enough to punch him, since that would be close enough for him to get mud all over her. When he started to run towards her, she stuck her tongue out at him.
"Catch me if you can," She yelled back - almost like she was daring him to - turned around, and then ran away as fast as her legs could carry her.poke mattix Shall we roll like... 1d20 to determine who ran faster? 8T

While Jason was trying to catch Areine, he wasn't going to go full medal. Just run at a fast enough past that it looked like he was running. He was pretty confident that he'd be able to catch up to her either way. While he wasn't very brave or very skilled, he considered himself a fast runner ...from all the running away from halloween monsters, but that was beside the point.

Ariane was pretty confident of her own running skills too - or rather, she was confident about stamina. Maybe she wasn't the fastest runner, but due to her experiences with swimming laps long before she became a hunter, she was sure that she would be able to outrun Jason... More so because he was running so slow.
He better not be mocking her.

No, he wasn't mocking her. He was just enjoying the thrill of the hunt. And just like a predator he was stalking his prey, waiting for the opportune moment to strike. Which just happened to be now. As Ariane ran, he pulled back one arm with his ammo, and sent it hurling straight at the back of her head. A aerial attack that he hoped would slow her down just enough so he could catch up to her.
