Sha and Trae were chilling on the swings a couple days after Trae had joined Sha in the school. They were still kind of catching up on their separate lives since they'd been separated. Sha of course was doing most of the talking. Babbling about the people he'd met, the maze he'd explored and mapped Sha would likely have kept on forever if Trae hadn't thwapped his shoulder.
"There's a girl." He said nodding towards where a girl was heading towards the playground.
"Thanks Captain Obvious." Sha said good naturedly with a grin.
"Well you probably wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't said something, blabbermouth." Trae gave Sha a little grin of his own.

The girl skipped her way to the playground happily singing a nonsense song, ""Laalalalilielie~lalalililiaaaa~ladiadidididi~lalalaaaa~". As she got closer and recognized people however, she started waving frantically, and practically running up, "Hi~Hihihihi~HI!!!!!!!!!!HI~~~~~~~~~!!!!!!! The little bundle of energy giggled happily as she greeted the PEOPLE on the swings, bouncing up and down.

"Woah, little lady." Said the red head, "Slow down, we're not runnin' away."
"Yet." Said the pink one. The red head took his turn smacking the other's shoulder.
"How about you tell us your name? I'm Sha, this is Trae. Did you need something?" Lucky for Trae, Sha liked to talk and be friendly.

Nikki gasped and blushed deeply, "Ohnoooooes!!!!! I forgotted to say my name oh gosh gosh gosh sorry!!!" She bowed her head very far, her pink hair briefly switching to a dark blue before the pink returned, "Am Nikki!!!! Itisreallyreallyreallynicetomeetyou!!!!!!!" Their questions got left behind in her mind, "Are s'ings fun????!?!??" She tilted her head from one side to the other at the sitting kids, still positively bouncing from the tips of her toes to the heels of her feet, rocking back and forth.

"You better believe they're fun!" Said Sha enthusiastically. "I think they're even better then the slide."
"Nice to meet you Nikki." Trae said politely. He thought the changing hair color was a neat trick. Handy even.

Nikki stared at Sha as if he was a completely foreign object and then opened her mouth in utter horror! It was as if the little girl has seen the most terrifying thing she could think of. And then suddenly her mouth clamped shut... and she began to giggle, "Eeeeeeheheehee!", she let herself laugh for a few moments before suddenly opening her eyes very widely, "Bettah....betteh....bett....ah..." she trailed off for a few moments, as her tongue failed to create the sounds needed for a word she knew, causing her to blush, pouting lightly, fuchsia]"dan dee ~slide! Funny!!!!!"

Meanwhile perched up in the highest tower on the playground was Blake. He was hidden from view at the moment, behind one of the walls that kept children from going down anyway but through the bright colored plastic swirly slide. Until this moment he had been lying on his back, reading a comic, and using a backpack full of books for a pillow.
The sounds of other people had alerted him though and he'd sat up slowly so he could peer at them through one of the holes in the little wall. Meeting new people really hadn't been the goal of his outing today and he began to frown. He thought to himself that maybe if he moved sneakily enough he could escape without being spotted. After a moment of considering his escape options though, he realized the only way down that was out of view was through the side. There was no way they weren't going to notice a kid with a big back-pack scooting down the slide though. He let his head hit the wall with a soft clunk as he realized he was trapped. Maybe if he just stayed up here and kept really quiet and watched them through the little hole they'd leave him alone.

"Way better'n the slide." Sha was sticking to his guns.
"You don't have to go back up the ladder and wait for others. That's why Sha likes the swings." Trae said, why did he have to translate? Sha was nodding along in agreement.
"Here, I'll push you if you want." he offered. "Then you'll see."

Well, Kindle was taking a nap, Sonnet was doing... something... and Altair wanted to play. Really wanted to play... and not just around the house! No! She was done with playing indoors and so Deskri had begrudgingly agreed to take her to the playground. Of course, upon arrival he immediately went to go sit down on a bench and waved her off to the actual play structure... at least there were other kids around. Too bad at least two of them had a lot pink. Ugh.
Altair toddled along, but paused when Deskri went to sit down. She stared at him for a moment, with a sort of unamused frown before turning and looking out at the other kids. They were all bigger than her... Her frown deepened a bit, but she shook her head and toddled closer to the others before veering off course to the sand box.
Time to build a castle.

Nikki sort of made a face before nodding her consent and moving towards one of the swings, with a big smile on her face still. She didn't notice the toddling Altair until she was sitting down, and it elected a little "Eeee~~~" from her, but before she could go play with Altair she had to figure out if swings were actually fun, or if Sha was insane! More fun than slides! Impossible!
Blake was lucky Nikki was not very observant, or she would tear him down from his little hole, and force him to play with them, never really one to allow loners to be loners.

Sha began pushing the smaller girl on the swing. He started her slow but started pushing her faster and higher. "See! It's like flying."
Trae sighed. Sha was being way too friendly again, soon he'd be surrounded by everyone. Maybe he should go hide somewhere so as to not be drawn in, again. He silently wished he'd brought one of his sea picture books with him as he swung back and forth and kicked at the dirt.

Nikki giggled as she got pushed, each push making her squeal as she looked down at the ground that seemed so far below her while on the swing, "Weeeeeeeeeee~!!!! So hiiiiiigh!!! Gos! Ehehehe!" She frowned deeply as she managed to pick up on Trae's annoyance, but it was quickly replaced with another giggle, when suddenly she got the bright idea to jump off, despite her lack of anything which would let her land safely, beyond normal reflexes.
It's safe to say that Nikki's 'reflexes' are not of top quality, and though she landed on her feet after the sudden jump, the next instant she simply tripped on her own feet, falling forward onto her face, where she lay in stunned silence.

Sha gaped. Woops, he hadn't planned on her to go flying off the swing with out wings or anything...
Trae was faster on his feet and rushed over. "Are you alright? That was really high!"
Sha started grinning. "Man that was really cool! I can't believe you landed on your feet!"
Trae sighed. It was hard being the responsible one. "Maybe we should go play in the sand now..."

Nikki sat there for a few moments, still laying there, before suddenly popping up and giggling, grabbing Trae's arms and trying to spin with him, "You sould really not be upset!!!! You sould be happy!!! Happy is de betet!!!"" She giggled with pure glee, her nose a little bloody from the fall, but nothing else wrong with her, besides how clingy she was in making Trae happy, "Didya seeeee how hiiiigh it was!!!? Dat is cause for haaapppyyy!!!!!!"

Altair plopped herself down in the sandbox and started to build a bit of a mound, though her building was interrupted when she heard one of the other kids suggest playing in the box as well..
She looked back at her Papa, he seemed to be somewhat zoned out... which was unusual. She then looked at the other kids, and then back to her mound. They better not mess up her castle!
