Finally a release date on the new DLC. "Dragonborn" will be coming to Xbox 360 on December 4, 2012.
It will take place at Sostheim. Read up on the locale at the Wiki page.
Rumors abound! There be talk of dragon-riding...
People are also speculating that it could be on PC first, since the contract with Microsoft has expired for putting out DLC on Xbox 360 first. I don't play on PC. I wish they'd just put it out for every system at the same time. And it would be great for PS3 players if it would work for them at all. @_@

Rumors about the dragon riding seem far fetched, few of the reliable sources have pipped up on this. Rumors also include the chance to return to Morrowind (Sol-something).

I really hope the Dragon mounts are false help me Talos if it is I mean it will be so upsetting since it will ruin the game.... Unless it is only used as a travel gateway between skyrim and the island that they will be bring back sice morrowind was only based on a small portion of morrowind.

I am hoping to see more realistic mounted combat. horses running into people and staggering them. their appearance on the battle field, oh and spears. for calvary and anti calvary maybe some big open battles mostly involving horses or at least a planned battle something really big and accurate to old fasion battle

I don't care about riding dragons at all. Someone said maybe mounted magic use, which could be kind of cool. I rather like mounted combat but it's not my favorite thing.
People have been hoping to visit Morrowind since the first DLC. I think new areas to visit would be the coolest kind of content, especially if there are new cities to explore. That's my favorite part of the game, I think, going to new cities and sight-seeing. ^^

That's my favorite part of the game, I think, going to new cities and sight-seeing. ^^ I think one of the games best features are the towns and the environments.. I have had screenies ruined by corpses of bandits! LOL I have no real issue if the dragon riding is limited to effectively a "fast travel" between Skyrim and the next location, the need to have it in game mystifies me. I know modders have done it or something like it but its not that useful when the world is only so big.

Just saw the trailer, and i have to say, after seeing what Dragonborn is about, the riding dragons bit seems to be the least interesting bit. The whole premise of taking down the first Dragonborn just blew my mind. Plus, the area they show looks absolutely gorgeous. Can't wait!

From what has been said on Nexus, the dragon flying isn't even in "the real world" but in a seperate world space.
