Oh dear.
This certainly didn't feel familiar to Splash, her light hooves trotting around in circles of confusion at this strange area. The doe wasn't very used to travelling by herself, really, yet this time she fancied a trip to find some fresh and refreshing water---and how she came upon this long stretch of land, she did not know.
Her bright tail swept on the ground gently, bright eyes looking around as she continued to walk, sincerely hoping for someone, anyone to come along.

Today was just what Passing Light needed. It was nice out and he had found the perfect stretch of land to stretch his legs. It was a miracle that this place appeared before him after trudging through the swamp without a soul to talk to. He was going crazy, but at least there was this little ray of sunshine. He raced down the plains at top speed, spying a lone figure in the distance. He inhaled deeply, calling out to the figure. "Raaaaaace!!" Fade yelled at the top of his lungs before catching up to the figure, seeing it was an acha. He pranced around her excitedly. "How about a race?" He eyed the doe happily, hoping she would agree. Aric Val Dang, gaia didn't quote me to tell me you made this thread. Anyway, tag!

It seemed her solitude would not last long as a loud voice was suddenly heard from the distance, startling the acha. She would have ran if it she weren't so stunned, besides, perhaps this stranger would come and help her even though she was terribly confused at the moment.
"Ah!" she turned around quickly, blue eyes meeting the other. "R-race? What..." It took her a moment to finally settle on the excited Kiokote, blinking her eyes in wonder at him. He had such handsome soft colours, and this already set a light flush on her cheeks as he seemed so eager to race with her. Somehow her troubles were gone.
"I'm afraid I'm not that---much of a challenge perhaps," she eyed his strong legs, "But I could always try!" The doe smiled at him.ashes to the wind grr stupid gaia! hopefully it quotes you now ;u;

Fade continued his prancing around the doe. "I know most are intimidated by Kiokote's abilities." He smirked, slowing down a bit. "And they should be!" He laughed, excited that the doe would want to participate in a race. "Don't worry about it, I'll take it easy on you." He winked at the doe with another chuckle. He eyed the dainty creature; it looked like she would break if she ran too fast. But she had agreed, and he would no mention this. It wouldn't happen, the doe should be as tough as any swamp creature, no matter how dainty she was. "Isn't this exciting?" He slowed to a stop so he could meet her gaze. "A playful race is always good on boring days like this, right?" He smiled wide, tilting his head to the left making his grin look silly. "I'm Passing Light. Thought you should know before I beatcha." He laughed out with a cocky grin. "And can I have the name of my challenger?"Aric Val Sorry that took forever! I hope it's good! >.<

Her eyes followed the kiokote as he moved in circles around her, the doe certainly not complaining at this unexpected attention. "Y-yes. I have certainly heard of your kind and I'm sure you're amazing." she had to let out a little chuckle, finding his confidence so charming amid her starry eyes at the buck. She looked dainty, yes, yet it was a fact that her pace in running was not one to be underestimated.
"It is!" Splash replied, for some reason getting excited as well, Passing Light's exuberance was catching. "To be honest I was lost--" She let out another laugh at his words, nodding her head. "Quiet Coast, you may call me Splash if you want."
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Passing Light," Splash gave him the sweetest smile she could, turning to look around them and eyeing the wide open field before turning back to him. "What kind of reward does the winner have?" She said curiously, not really having participated in any kind of race before.

"Well, Splash!" He gave a short bow. "If I can call you by your nickname, you can call me by mine. Passing Light is so formal!" He gave a laugh with a shake of his head. "So call me Fade if you'd like!" He gave a happy snort, looking over the doe again. He quirked his head to the side. "You were lost too? I guess we won't be able to show each other around." He contemplated their options of what they would do after the race. Fade stomped his hooves in the ground as he came up with something. "The winner will get to escort the loser around the swamp!" He nodded his head triumphantly. "So just in case, by some sheer stroke of bad luck, I lose to you my lovely Splash, then I will still be able to keep your company." He smiled wide and full of energy. "Is that alright with you?"

She smiled gently at the way he regarded her, eyes lowering demurely to the ground before meeting his eyes again. "Fade--that's a lovely name" she chuckled. "We're both lost? Thank goodness we found each other then." And she was truly glad, she tended to always be rather nervous when alone in a place she did not know, not really drifting away from places she was familiar with.
Her eyes brightened considerably at their 'terms', finding this buck already so terribly sweet, and the thought of spending more time with him was enough to be a disbelief to her, considering herself terribly lucky for once."I think those conditions are fair, I would love that," Fade's enthusiasm was contagious and all the more charmed her. "Shall we start the?" She was restless where she stood, a day with this buck sounded wonderful.

"Yes, lets!!" Fade as as giddy and excited as ever. He found a cute little playmate who would keep him company for the rest of the day, what could be better than that? "How about the finish line be at the end of the meadow?" It wasn't too far off, but long enough to get a good run in. He readied himself, ears laid streamline to his head. "Ready..." His hooves dug into the grass. "Set...." You could practcally see the anticipation radiating from him. "Go!!" And with that he was off, digging his hooves into the soft meadow towards his goal. Aric Val Don't worry, they ate me too. And even after finals, this week got busy. XD Who would you like to win? You can end the race in your post.

She nodded her head in response, smiling demurely at him. "Alright! I can do that ..." Splash started, jumping in place when Fade started to count down, a little clumsily moving in place beside him and getting ready to go. And when he shouted go she ran as fast as she could, trekking the wide grassy plains and trying to match the kiokote.
And time passed, the doe out of breath but smiling up at her companion. He had won but their distance wasn't that far off and for that alone she was proud of herself and even prouder that even if she lost, she would still be spending time with this enigmatic buck. "You-- are very fast on your feet, it's wonderful to see," She smiled, it wasn't a secret that she was slightly distracted by his form as he ran. "That was fun!" She moved towards him happily, touching her nose gently on his coat before stepping back. ashes to the wind ; w ; // I made fade win! also cause she really isn't super duper fast on her feet, haha (:

Fade had pushed himself to victory! That little acha did give him a run for his money, but he was still the best of course. He did a small victory lap before returning to Splash's side. "Why thank you!" He panted happily, surprised by the gentle touch. "Oh, you can watch me run anytime you want." He nudged her back with his nose playfully. "And we should have more races! I bet you could beat me some day." He still laughed, not fully believing that Splash could beat him. Though there was a first for everything. "Now that we are done and have each other as company," he paused, looking her over before looking ahead of them. "Where shall we be off to?" Fade gave her a brilliant smile, still energetic as ever.

If this was her losing, she couldn't imagine what it was like to win. She ran as fast as her little hooves could run, stretching out her limbs before she looked back at him and a subtle rose pink colour crept up her cheeks at his comment. "Ah -- watch you anytime-- well!" he chuckled, nodding her head. "I would certainly love to race with you again -- or a walk, whatever would be wonderful." Splash was already entertaining the thoughts of more meetings with this buck, already quite enamored with him.
"Perhaps-- around the swamp forests before it gets dark? I-- seemed to have lost my way anyhow, so I shall spend my night somewhere here." she admitted shyly. "But yes-- ah, your company would make me very happy!" The Acha had no real plan, really, hoping just for a lovely end to her day with the Kiokote.

Fade nodded his head eagerly. "Follow me, I'll show you what I've seen so far." He hadn't seen much. A fallen log here, some questionable mushrooms there, frogs. There were plenty of those hopping things. But the swamp forest trees were nice and the water was refreshing. He looked at the doe with her rose pink cheeks, quirking a brow. "No were to go?" He couldn't leave this little lady on her own. Someone would snatch this Acha up if he didn't keep an eye on her. He wouldn't mind spending a nice night in the company of a lady no less. "How about you stay with me for the night? Wouldn't want you in an unfamiliar place all alone." Fade winked after this bold question. He didn't fear rejection at that point since he had so brilliantly won his race; he carried his swelled head proudly with a smile. Aric Val Thank you for putting up with my slowness! -grovels at your feet-
