Willow vs Rumble - Rumble? Oh Deer!

Roll a Nine: Seashore Field: Split down the middle between land and sea, this field compliments land and water type pokemon. On the west end of the field is the land section: fine grained sand gradually slopes downward to meet the salt water on the east end of the battleground. A single palm tree wavers lightly in the breeze while shells are scattered in random places in and on the sand. In the water half of the battleground, the water laps at the sand much like at a real beach; when it retracts it leaves behind strands of seaweed and pieces of coral. Both are found under the water, offering shelter for water-types (or those who can hold their breath for great periods of times). This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to GROUND and WATER type attacks.

Kytti walked in with her Deerling at her side.
"What a wonderful arena Willow, this will be fun." Kytti said happily to her Deerling as she took her place in the trainer box.

Fay smiled as she took a breath of the salty sea air, her faithful teddiursa at her side. "What a lovely place for a battle, don't you think Rumble, darling?" she cooed to her companion though he grunted in reply and simply kicked back a part of his scarf.

"Looks like were up first! Show them what you got!" Fay said, a bit of flair in her performance.

Rumble waddled forward, scooping up several rocks in his paws before flinging them towards the deerling.

Hit hard by the rock, Willow retreated a bit to take in her surroundings.
"That's it Girl! Just like we trained." Kytti encouraged happily.
The Deerling bolted towards the Teddiursa and vaulted into the air. As she came down, she aimed her hind hooves towards the pokemon.

Rumble took a blow to the head from the deerling's hooves and stumbled backwards himself. With an angry grunt he rubbed his head furiously before shaking off the pain. With another command shout from his trainer, he rushed forward, rearing up in the air before slamming his paws down hard against the ground in an earthquake attack.

(( Also, you would have taken 300 damage from that crit. You are weak to Fighting, so the damage is calculated like this: 100 base + 50 weakness = 150. Then x2 for a crit. 300 damage total ))

Willow was hit by the earthquake and was able to bounce back ready to attack.
"Let's see how she handles this one," Kytti thought to herself.
Willow again raced towards the pokemon and jumped into the air, aiming her hooves towards the Teddiursa.

Rumble took another blow and snarled at the deerling. He clenched his paws into a fist and threw a focus punch.

Hit by the punch, Willow struck back. She jumped into the air and aimed her hooves towards the pokemon.

Rumble dodged the kick and aimed another focus punch.

Struck by the punch Willow bleated. She shook her head and charged in with a leap, her hooves aimed at the opponent.

Rumble was getting a bit tired of these darn hooves as they made contact with his face. He grunted and threw a punch.

Willow dodged the attack and bleated. She raced in and leaped into the air, her hooves aimed towards the opponent.

That last hit hurt and Rumble stumbled a few paces back a bit. He rubbed his eyes and grunted, clenching is bear paws into fists, determined to at least throw one more punch.
