Roll a Nine: Seashore Field: Split down the middle between land and sea, this field compliments land and water type pokemon. On the west end of the field is the land section: fine grained sand gradually slopes downward to meet the salt water on the east end of the battleground. A single palm tree wavers lightly in the breeze while shells are scattered in random places in and on the sand. In the water half of the battleground, the water laps at the sand much like at a real beach; when it retracts it leaves behind strands of seaweed and pieces of coral. Both are found under the water, offering shelter for water-types (or those who can hold their breath for great periods of times). This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to GROUND and WATER type attacks.

Looking out at the waves crashing on the shore, Shina nodded. Pulling a pokeball from her belt, she sent out Tenka. He took a perch high in the lone palm tree and waited to see who he would be battling today.

Tama tsked lightly as he walked onto the trainer's stand. Inwardly, he was complaining about the field setting as he looked down to the Ninetales at his side. He already had low confidence about her abilities to battle since she was mostly a show Pokemon, so this didn't help boost it. With a huff, he sent Kihaku out.
Kihaku, on the other hand, was confident in her abilities, no matter the setting of the field. When she was sent out, she yipped happily and jumped down onto the sand.

When her trainer got the okay to go first, she poised herself to deliver her first attack. Getting the command from her trainer, she nodded. Opening her mouth, Kihaku let out a stream of fire toward the little Pokemon in the tree, which soon swirled around it before enveloping it.
