Roll a Nine: Seashore Field: Split down the middle between land and sea, this field compliments land and water type pokemon. On the west end of the field is the land section: fine grained sand gradually slopes downward to meet the salt water on the east end of the battleground. A single palm tree wavers lightly in the breeze while shells are scattered in random places in and on the sand. In the water half of the battleground, the water laps at the sand much like at a real beach; when it retracts it leaves behind strands of seaweed and pieces of coral. Both are found under the water, offering shelter for water-types (or those who can hold their breath for great periods of times). This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to GROUND and WATER type attacks.

Gallifrey ran before his trainer and leaped up onto the field, yipping happily at being on the sand again. His trainer coming into the stadium at a more sedated pace, Heal gave a node towards Sienna.

Sienna waved to her opponent, while Akantha investigated the sand. Just as she was going to pick up a shell Sienna called, "I guess we'll start things off; Rock Smash!"
Akantha abandoned the shell and charged forward at her opponent.

Gallifrey was still distracted when the attack hit him full force, throwing him back against the sand and being buried in it. He whined softly, popping out, shaking his whole body.
Heal quirked an eyebrow, wincing a bit in sympathy as he looked up from his pokedex. "How about Iron Tail, buddy?"
The eevee barked his approval and his tail began to glow as he sped up towards his opponent.

Akantha managed to stay on her feet after she was hit, but she wasn't happy. She charged again to unleash another Rock Smash.

Gallifrey snarled, bristling up his furcoat and becoming more of a poof ball then he already was. He leaped forward, smacking his tail over to the other pokemon

Finding himself buried in sand again, the eevee bared his teeth as he rose up again, stumbling a bit as the attacks were finally getting the better of him. Shaking himself off, he bolted forward with another Iron Tail attack.

Akantha was struck hard by the Eevee's Iron Tail and was promptly knocked out.
'Wow, her first loss!' Sienna thought, realizing they had had quite a winning streak up until then. Oh well. "Thanks for the battle!" She waved as she recalled Akantha.
