Painite held her spear as she walked down the street. She was not looking to blend in, though it was late at night and that was not really a worry for her since no one was around. Still, she usually had some caution about her, sticking to the shadows or the roof tops.
Not tonight. She couldn't be bothered. She'd spent the last few hours crying and was ready to distract herself. Break ups were difficult, but considering hers was only a few hours old at this point it was probably a bad idea for her to be powered up.
And hold a giant weapon.
But this was her escape. This was her method of relaxing.
A very dangerous method, for anyone who crossed her path, but it would certainly be cathartic to her. Violence was the answer. Whoever said it wasn't needed to be stabbed in the face. They had no idea what they were talking about, anyway.

Nickeline prowled the tops of a nearby set of rooftops, intrigued by the power signal that was flaring off in her head. It was such a strange place for a power signal to be coming from and that was very interesting to the corrupt senshi. Most power signals stayed away from certain areas but this one was right down the street. It was late and it was probably no alarm for concern but that was still a strange thought.
It got stranger though, but not until Nickeline finally got a good view of the power signal. She couldn't tell what rank the Negaverse soldier was but she looked like some tough s**t. Who walked around with a spear? Nickeline sure wished she did! Whoever it was, Nickeline wanted to meet the person who walked down the street with a spear.
It took a couple of minutes of following carefully to get down from where she was but eventually she was close enough to call out to her.
"sup!" Normal American greeting, that was a good start. Right? Right!

Appeal No worries, I've been busy too! Painite had not been anticipating a Corrupt Senshi, and she turned to glance in the direction it was coming from. The source of it greeted her shortly after, and Painite debated being nice or not.
She was not really keen on playing nice with anyone right now, and her feelings about everything she had once been sure about were getting fogged up. She had been content in playing by these new rules and guidelines, being nice and calm and studious, because she had something in her civilian life that kept her happy. Hopeful.
With that gone, she found she was terribly bored. She had been fooling herself, thinking she had the perfect, white picket fence included, life ahead of her. But all she really was, deep inside her, was a villain. And she needed to stay true to that, when nothing else could stay the same.
"Hello there, my pretty senshi. What brings you to a place like this, at this time of night?" Her words were nice enough, but there was an edge to her tone, and no warmth in her voice. She was still weighing the pros and cons of taking our her anger on a member of the Chaos side.

Nickeline was inspecting the spear with inquisitive eyes and a hint of caution. You didn't just stand in front of someone holding a spear and not be ready for them to stab you, that's just common sense! Or at least common fighting sense. Nickeline didn't care to be a Greek Kabob anytime soon and you could never trust anyone. If a fight was coming, Nickeline wouldn't back down. She was powered up and game: anyone, anytime, anywhere. Of course, the last time she had fought again a third ranking opponent she found herself knocked unconscious by the end of it and then shamed by not being finished during it. Grateful yes, bitter about it forever yes.
"Boring," she replied simply. Although what she meant to say was that she was out because she was bored but it came off more like she was calling Painite boring.

"Boring?"
She did not know if that was an answer to her question or not, but it was enough to give her a lead. She grinned at the senshi, tilting her head to the side. All she could see was someone that she could get away with roughing up a little. Getting out some aggression, though not going as far as she wanted to.
She needed to get back to what made her whole. She had slacked off, gone soft, for something that had not been reality. Her head fabricated this perfect life, and she had sacrificed her motivation and ambition for it. Reality reminded her that she was an idiot, though, and now she had nothing but the realization that she was wasting her potential.
She was a Negaverse General. She had incredible power. She was going to use it.
"I can help you with that, if you're bored," she said, tapping her fingers against the staff of her spear. "Up for some sparring? I haven't gotten to play with one of your kind in a while."

Nickeline was nothing but a basic ranking corrupt senshi but that certainly never stopped her from getting into trouble with all sorts of people. She had the motivation and ambition that Painite had been lacking, and quite a bit of potential if she said so herself. Sure, the spear worried her but how else did you get over your fears other than facing them right on?
Game on.
Nickeline agreed by coming at Painite, simple as that.

Painite liked a good show of gumption, and it was clear that this senshi had buckets of it. Good for her. It would help her get far in this business they shared, this business of Chaos, even if their paths were different.
Someone strong enough to stand up for themselves, and not back down from a challenge, was someone that need cultivating and encouragement.
Or a good beating, just to make sure they knew where to draw the line.
But Painite was already a fan, and she grinned as she called her spear to one and, and then the other, as if playing catch with it without ever having to toss or catch it either way.
The senshi charged and Painite did too, not using either pointy end of her spear at first. Instead, she used the middle part of it, swinging it Nickeline like a bat, aiming for her hip.

Nickeline liked to think she never backed down from a challenge, even when the challenge had a sharp and pointy spear to stab her with. She recognized the skill it took to fight someone with any sort of longarm, knowing getting up close and personal would be a lot harder than normally, and she was engorged in the idea of it.
Her eyes were wide, focused on the fight at hand. There wasn't as much rage as there was usually, a simple spar currently. Tides could change in a second though, but for now Nickeline seemed to actually be enjoying things. Her grin grew as the spear was swung toward her with the middle part instead of either ends. She didn't parry the attack, instead bracing for the force that would then come swinging in to her palms that guarded her hip.
A strong grip held onto the spear, holding it firmly in an attempt to both halt and disarm Painite.

Painite was rearing for a fight, and she could barely contain herself. She put a little more gusto into it than she might have, if she were just training someone, or maybe more than she probably should have. But she was having fun.
And that was all she wanted right now.
It did not matter that her brand of fun often left dead civilians on the floor, or people in the hospital. That was just the price they had to pay, and she had long ago justified the waste of life in her mind. Now, she never even thought about it, when one time she would be at least a little more conscientious of just how dangerous she might be.
That was then, this was now.
"You know, everyone tries this," she growled, when the senshi attached herself to the spear. Painite grinned, and Saddles, the spear, disappeared from between them. It gave her room to get closer. Was that what the senshi was after? Close combat didn't scare her. The spear appeared in her hand again all too soon, sharp end moving toward Nickeline.

Nickeline loved a good, old fashioned fight and because of that she hadn't really thought of using magic until the spear had all but disappeared and reappeared between the two of them. She yelped a small gasp of surprise, dodging the spear only by a hair's length and then after that her mouth opened again only to mutter a single word.
"Breathless," slipped out of her lips, as did her ready arsenal. Why did she ever think of a fair fight between someone with a weapon? Magic was her weapon and she was not going to hold it back.
She didn't wait for the magic to show any literally effect before she threw her fist right toward Painite's face. It was pretty but she was more than willing to put her fist's imprint it and make it a piece of art.

General Painite could take a hit. The fact was, she hadn't had to in a longer time than she realized. When she was punched she was still off guard, and it caused her to stumble and very nearly fall.
It hurt.
That was good. She had not been in a fight she could remember having a good time in for some time. Usually because she picked on helpless victims, and the resulting scuffles were usually in between hostages and traps, not directly one on one. Sure, she sparred, but she could hardly call that a real fight, could she?
This was closer than that, really. Though she knew she couldn't go all out, a voice reminded her in the back of her mind.
She snapped out of her daze and lunged for the senshi, spear flashing. All she felt was the heat of the battle and the will to cause some pain in return, to draw some blood.

Wait, this was a spar? The thought was beyond Nickeline at this point. No one sparred with a bladed weapon! It didn't matter anymore though because she was lost in the battle by now, simply driven by the thought of breaking Painite's pretty face. It was a simple dream but a dream nonetheless and everyone's dreams deserved to come true, right?
Words were not necessary at this point and that's one of the things that excited her most about fighting when she lived in her own world here surrounded by strangers and foreigners. She didn't need anything to explain to her that there was a spear ready to impale her at the second's thought, or that her fist desired a face to kiss. She was cautiously aware of the spear flashing though so she opted to try and avoid it instead of making another attack just yet. Best defense may be a good offense but there was nothing wrong with keeping your spleen intact in your abdomen.

Painite followed her as she dodged.
One of the best things about being a Negaverse General was knowing how to wield her weapon like it was just an extension of herself. She barely had to think about it, the long spear winking out of existence as Painite closed the gap between the two combatants. It reappeared as she willed it, though she was holding it close to its tip, her hand gripping the staff just under the edge of the blade.
She swung like she was punching, though the long stick made that mostly unwieldy. It wasn't the end of the staff she was focusing on, though, and she was not swinging the blade like a bat. No, she was essentially punching with the spear point in hand, aiming to slice or stab from close range. Her aim wasn't for a vital area, but it would certainly be a bloody injury if it connected.

In the midst of a fight, there were many things to consider and when in a fight with someone wielding a weapon, especially any sort of long arm, there were even more things to worry about. Nickeline could only keep track of things for so long before finally she slipped up. There was a gap in power, so it was no wonder, but it was a terrible time to mess up. The connection of the blade against her flesh caused her to let out an unpleasant scream as she fell back, the sound drowning into a groan as one of her hands moved to cover the wound.
Luckily, Nickeline hadn't moved into it. Instead, the corrupt senshi had pulled away a bit. It was bloody, but maybe not as bloody as it could have been. She was thankful it was small enough to close off by tying the cloth of her long glove around it. It wasn't much but it was better than allowing it to sit there and bleed out onto the ground. Knowing her luck, she'd slip over her own blood and land on the spear.
Well, now s**t just went down the drain. Nickeline grabbed a handful of dirt from the ground before she pushed herself back up, throwing it toward the General's face with a huff. Fighting dirty was not above Nickeline.

Painite loved that sound. It was different, of course, with every person but the feeling it brought was always the same. A kind of delicious crawling sensation that tickled its way not entirely pleasantly all the way down her spine. It was a fantastic sensation.
She smiled as she watched the senshi reveal her bloody hand, though her darker fuku didn't show it as nicely as the white ones did. That was fine, Painite wasn't here to kill anyone.
She had to remind herself of that.
Her mental abstraction and admiration of her own work was interrupted when he eyes suddenly found themselves covered in dust and dirt, and began to burn with surprising intensity.
"Cheap move!" Painite complained, though it almost sounded like she was amused. She had to admit, it was a good tactic to use when one was on the ropes, and it certainly worked in distracting her: she could hardly see clearly now.
