Camelot was ready for his patrol. Dogby was at home, having stayed there and not gone to work with him at all because she seemed a little sniffly and tired. So he hadn't had to take her home first, which put him a few minutes early for his patrol.
That made absolutely no difference, but it happened.
Anthony Darrow had locked up the library and was now standing on its roof, powered up and ready to go. He looked out over the very familiar city below, having learned the roofs of the buildings in his patrol area. He was determined to keep this place as safe as possible, and he branched out bit by bit so he wasn't limiting himself.
If, after all, the bad guys learned he was watching a specific area, they'd just start avoiding it.
He took a breath and leaped down to the next roof, keeping his eyes open, and his senses primed. He was looking for youma, and keeping a look out for auras from other White Moon soldiers, or those of Chaos.

Ricky Cunningham had no business being anywhere near a library. Of course, had he actually known it was a real library then he probably wouldn't have gone at all! He had always heard people his age - especially those who were still students - say they were going to be spending all day or all night in the library, and he had always assumed it was some bar. And on a boring night, he decided to check out this bar only to find it was some stupid building for smart people to read books in. Who the ******** wants ********' waste of a night," he said, kicking the building. He couldn't believe he wasted his energy walking all the way to this godforsaken location full of books. What the hell were books for anyways? He groaned as he powered up to Troy Page of Chronos. At least in this form he could get home with a bit more ease. Unfortunately, however, his power signature must have caught the attention of some danger lurking by...as just moments later, a creature leapt out of the darkness and tackled him, tossing him fifteen feet through the air before landing on the cement with a skid and one hell of a yelp for help. "You mother ********!" he screamed from the ground as the youma charged toward him.

Camelot looked toward the library, just scanning the area again though he was only the next door over, and saw someone at its door. Probably a student that had put off a paper too long, and now the library was closed and they would have to do something else for their research.
He felt guilty, but he was on patrol now.
He looked away and did not see the boy walk up to the library, nor did he witness the library being kicked. It was probably for the best, he took that kind of thing personally. His attention was drawn enough not to realize the same figure had powered up, just feeling the energy signature when it appeared.
He saw the youma and let out a yelp of warning, but was too far away to be any use. He leaped off the roof he was on, landing between the Page after he had been thrown and the youma that had done it. His shield brought the charging youma to a solid halt, though it was a jarring hit and Camelot braced himself against it.
"Are you alright?!" he called to the Page, shoving back against the youma in an effort to get a moment.

"I'm fine, I'm fine," Troy grumbled as he picked himself off the ground. He probably could have gone with more haste, but mostly he was too annoyed to be speedy and quick. He had fought youma before, sure, but this one startled the crap out of him in a way others haven't since he was just a civilian, confused Ricky in the Surrounding. "And er, thanks, I reckon." Then again, a thanks may not be due yet - the youma was still up and breathing. Troy cracked his neck and knuckles as he got into a fighting stance. "Let's waste this ********, right?" he suggested.

"It's no trouble," Camelot said, when Troy thanked him. He was still pushing against his shield and the youma, and he sounded a little strained. He managed to shove it backwards and give them a little space, but the creature was keen on fighting the duo now.
Camelot nodded his head.
It was not language he used very often, but it was accurate. They had to destroy the thing, and that was a quick way of summing it up.
"Do you have a weapon?" he asked, though most knights seemed to be stuck with less than useful items. He had his shield, which had been a very lucky draw for him now that he knew things could have been much, much worse for him in the end.
He could only imagine what would have happened to him if he'd gotten stuck with a book or something.
