What a nice day! Leoben thought happily, glancing outside from the walkway. "I suppose I could spare a little time," he mused to himself, glancing around to make sure the coast was clear before jumping over the side and into the freshly cut grass. "Nice!" He exclaimed with a boyish grin, immediately tossing his shoes off to the side in order to feel the cool sensation on his feet.
Ahhh... this is nice! When was the last time he was just able to be outside without anyone? Normally, he was surrounded by some Gryffindors... but since he was... er... Pleasantly distracted on the way to lavatory from class, none of his usual friends were around. "I think it's the Hufflepuff's break, Leoben noticed a lot of yellow and black around while he was inside.
Leoben sat down near the corner of the way, just out of view from the main parts of the castle. He made himself comfortable, stretching out and eventually laying down on the green grass to look up at the sky. "So much better than Potions..." I wonder if I should even go back... Leoben enjoyed basking out in the sun a little too much--it would definitely be easy to fall asleep out here if he didn't pay attentio--...
Zzz.... zz...

Destiny walked outside and took a breath of fresh air, it was so nice out that it was a crime to stay inside on such a nice day. She stretched from sitting in class for a long period of time, she gently brushed a strand of her hair out of her face as she made her way across the courtyard to a nice quiet area where she could read a nice book. She took a moment to glance around for some vacant spots, she didn't want it in the shade because then she would be cold.
She glanced around some more before finding a perfect spot and set down her bag, she laid out a blanket and sat down, she debated taking off her shoes but then decided against it. She was still a little uncomfortable with exposing her toes. But she would slowly get use to it eventually, perhaps when summer came again she would consider it. She leaned back on her hands and tilted her head upwards closing her eyes and enjoying the sunshine that touched her lightly tanned skin.
She was the kind of person who tanned easily when the sun was out and bright but today wasn't too cold or too hot for her. She blew out a light breath and smiled lightly to herself. A feeling of tranquility, relaxation and calm washed over her and that perked her right up after sitting in class for most of the day. This was one of the many reasons why she liked breaks, she could relax before hitting the books again. She smiled at the thought of Liam and how he would enjoy this kind of thing as well, but he was busy so it was just her.

"Ah!" Leoben shot up from where he was laying--"Merlin's Beard! How long was I asleep?" He would've checked his watch but... It didn't work. Nothing electronic worked in Hogwarts. Well... this is wondrous... Leoben scratched his head, trying to discern the time of day from the sun position. "Ow, ow... not working!" Jeez. All he had now was strange sun spots on his eyes, blinding his vision. "That was smart," he muttered to himself, standing up from where he was resting and stretching out for a little bit. His back cracked pleasantly.
He took a few seconds to look around while was up, trying to find some indication as to how long he was gone from class. If he was too late, he would have to deal with a quippy remark about constipation or something of the sort from not only the professor but his friends too.
In the not-so-far distance, he saw a girl with tan skin and silver-ish hair. She was wearing the Hufflepuff unform. "Excuse me," Leoben started, picking up his shoes from the ground and jogging over to the girl. "I'm Leoben," He said politely, flashing her a warm grin and extending his hand for her to shake. "I don't mean to interrupt your reading, but would you perhaps know what time it is? Or how long till class is out? Because I may have or may not have fallen asleep out here," He gave her a guilty, crooked smile.

Destiny opened her eyes as she heard a voice, her teal eyes glancing at the student and extended out a hand "nice to meet you Leoben, I'm Destiny" she said. She shielded her eyes and glanced up at the sun, she figured she would make a rough estimation "Um..My best estimation, is that classes will end in about 10 minutes" she answered a little sheepishly, she was still a little unsure if that was a good estimation on her part or not, no one had asked her that question before.
She lightly shifted so her hands weren't supporting her anymore, she shifted a little more before she didn't need support anymore and she was sitting upright. Placing her hands in her lap she looked around at her surroundings it seemed other students had the same idea of chilling outside with their friends and what not. Her friends and well Liam were preoccupied with some other things, since they had different interests and what not but they did put time aside to hang out altogether, even though most of them she met at her birthday party and became friends with. Especially Maer and Liam, Maer was her best friend and well Liam, he was her crush at the moment.
She glanced over Leoben with her teal eyes, as her memory flashed to images of the two hmm..this student looked similiar, he had the same eyes as Liam and same hair as Liam, he figured they were related somehow, but she chose not approach it as it looked like Leoben was in a rush.

"Ten minutes?" Leoben echoed her words, pausing to think for a few seconds. "Ah well, I can just get one of my friends to retrieve my stuff!" Leoben sat down next to Destiny and smiled at her, "What are you reading?" He inquired, glancing casually over at the book. "Looks... boring," he admitted with a laugh. Leoben never found amusement in things like books or anything else that involves no physical activity. I'm not Maer or Liam... I don't have the intention span for that.
Leoben ran a hand through his hair--Speaking of Liam and Maer... "Hey, I have a brother in Hufflepuff--do you happen to know him? His name is Liam Linwood--he tends to be unattached and kinda boring," he said, grinning boyishly. Only siblings were allowed to say things like that about each other. "Haven't really talked to him all year, which is a shame really... But I think since I haven't heard anything about him, he's been doing okay." Surely Maer would keep him updated about anything that was to perhaps go wrong. "Well, besides that whole flight incident, of course." Leoben remembered with a frown. That kid sure could get hot headed sometimes! That's how I know he's related to me!

Destiny shrugged "then again..I don't think my estimation was right, as no one has actually asked me that question before" she said thoughtfully. She glanced down at her book "Nothing too interesting...to be honest" she said putting her book back in her bag "I'm just enjoying the outdoors, because getting this nice of weather here is very rare" she put in. So technically she wasn't reading anything just sitting and enjoying some fresh air.
Destiny thought for a moment before smiling lightly to herself at the mention of Liam, but she tried to make it as discrete as possible "Yes, I do know him...a very reserved and quiet boy" she put it then again around her Liam was outgoing and cheerful. She tilted her head to the side glancing at Leoben "Well..if you want a status update, he's doing okay" she told him nodding her head. "I do see him around" she put in, then again she spends most of her time with him, but she was pretty certain Leoben didn't pay attention to the gossip rotating around the school and amongst the houses.

Leoben nodded at what Destiny said. "England has really dour weather," He glanced up at the sky and then smiled, "I hadn't even noticed how sunny it was!" For Leoben, weather was generally just... weather. He never usually thought of it as a whole, he just knew when it was raining, snowing, sunny... But he never put much more thought into it than that. "That must be awful of me," He started with a laugh, "Not even recognizing the nice weather... My mother would be ashamed!"
Leoben glanced at Destiny when she spoke of his brother. "That's a boring description!" He announced with a loud laugh, "Sounds like my brother though," He nodded and grinned. I doubt he's even vaguely worried about me, Leoben mused, Liam always wants to be "independent." Honestly, what was so bad with having a boatload of siblings that cared? The boy could be a snot sometimes.
"Anyway, Destiny..." Leoben began, "What's life like in Hufflepuff?" He inquired, mainly to have a better frame of reference when talking to Liam.

Destiny let out a light laugh "That and it can be unpredictable as well, one mintue its nice and sunny the next it could be pouring rain" she said before she glanced up at the sky hoping it wouldn't rain, or it would be a repeat of getting stuck in a rain storm like before. She stretched out on the grass and watched the clouds.
"I wasn't sure how else you wanted me to describe how he was" she said "though as of late I haven't really talked to him much, which is really unusual in a way" she put in. "as for life in Hufflepuff, as exciting as it gets around here" she answered, lately hufflepuff hadn't had any exciting events as of yet.
