Those books are a must read. There are loads of them but I think they are sooooooooooo cool. I have 12/13 because that's how many have come out so far (well, in my country anyway).
Have any of you read them?

They had come to me rather highly recommended, so I bought the whole series and started to read. I found they whole thing rather difficult. I'm not one to find an other's misfortune amusing. I had a really hard time getting through the books.

In 4th grade, my teacher read the Series of Unfortunate Events to my class, and we even got to see the movie! We didn't finish the series, but we got to the 5th book (and we didn't finished that).

I absolutely adore this series! I've read all twelve books that have been released so far, and the autobiography. They are so funny and are chock full of literature references, have you seen The Incomplete Guide to Lemony Snicket Allusions? It's really awesome, there are so many that I missed while reading!
The End comes out on October 13 of this year, it's going to be so sad to see the last of everyone. I really hope the kids get a happy ending, they really deserve it. I have no idea what sort of ending Mr. Snicket is going to pull though. Plus there is The Beatrice Letters coming out in September, which I'm really looking forward to.
For those who have read up to The Penultimate Peril, this may be an odd question, but am I the only one who thought it seemed like Sir and Charles' relationship was something more than just 'business' partners?

I started to read them. I think I got to book six or seven...it was ages ago; I can barely remember.

I wouldn't say that I "adore" this series.
I've read about six of them. They're not absopositively wonderful, but they're good for a chuckle.

I loved them when I was younger, but now reading them over I wonder what I liked so much in the first place.

Just something random about the hardback books themselves, not the stories: When I first started reading the series, I had a bad habit of flipping through books and reading phrases here and there, or looking at illustrations. Because of the uneven pages in this series, I was cured. Sad but happy, no?

While I don't own any of the books, I have read all of the ones that have come out so far. I think that The Hostile Hospital was one of my favorites...But it has been awhile since I've read them. That's why I can't really comment on the question that Gloom asked awhile back.
Have absolutely no idea how the series will end. While I can't see it being entirely happy...who knows?
I like the movie that's out so far, though. I can't wait to see the rest of the books played out by those characters. (I think that my favorite part in the movie was the wedding, which I remember the most as I actually read the books afterwards and couldn't find the wedding scene. I never wanted to read the books until I watched the movie...

The Last book came out today in America!!! I'm So exited! I think that it's cool that he's going with the whole unfortunate thing, because he ended the series at 13 and it came out here on Friday the 13. I just got so I've got to go read it...

I love them. They're so dreadfully gloomy that it makes me giggle. I also recommend the Unauthorized Autobiography for any other fans of the series. It's got some information about the VFD, and besides that, it's hilarious.

I've read all but book 13, which is the final book in te series. I thought they were all amazing! The 12 one was so intense that I couldn't put it down and so I finished it in 3 days sweatdrop
Demi Goth: I've read that. It was hilarious and a deffinate good read to anyone who enjoys the series 3nodding If I remember correctly, it gives a lot of background as to who Count Olaf was and the relationship he had with the Snickets 3nodding
