Akhem sat up with a jolt. THe last thing he remembered was being in his room at his new school....
Why the hell couldn't he see anything? This was NOT gonna fly. He lifted up his hands and slowly moved them in front of his face. He could barely see the outline. Due to his decaying state, it was no wonder that he could see nothing more. Well hopefully he wouldn't walk into anything.
On wobbly bones he stood up, brushing himself off. Hopefully no one saw that. Akhem wouldn't want anyone to think he was weak. He took a moment to take stock of himself. And by moment, meaning a few minutes. The minutes crept by, he didn't know how he lost so much time. It just happened. But Akhem was getting off on a tangent. He felt around his body. Ribs, intact. Chest cavity... felt like it was all there. Legs, intact. Well at least he would hope they were there, he had stood up on them. Arms good.
Somehow, even though his body alright, Akhem had a sick niggling in his mind. What was it.. It wasn't fear nor anger. He knew confusion too well to know it was that. Oh well, he would find out later. He had to move, who knows what lurked in the fog? God knows he couldn't see it.
He step forward.
"OUCH! GOD DAMNIT!"
Even though his feet were bone he at least had SOME nerve endings down there. That freakin' hurt! Akhem looked down to see shards of something shiny. He cursed the object, but it did nothing. Oh well. He took another step.
"HELOO! IS ANYONE THERE. WHERE THE F*** AM I?"
No one replied.
Well hell.
Akhem walked around for another few minutes. At least he thought it was a few minutes. He could never really tell the time without the sun. And the sun was nowhere to be found. Stupid a** sun. Never there when needed. After mulling over the stupidity the sun presented, Akhem noticed lights blooming in the grey eternity. He must have been pretty close to something if HE could see it. But lights were always a bad idea. Lights meant fire. At least warm lights did, so no going toward that one. What about the other one? What did cold lights bring? Ice maybe? Freakin' ice, Akhem decided. He didn't want his damn joints to lock up, no way.
Akhem turned and walked in a random direction.
