Nickeline had been something weighing down the small chubby feline's mind lately.
Nickeline was a Negaverse corrupted senshi and had beaten up Sailor Eunomia. ********* had upgraded the senshi of order to a Super senshi, but even with the advantage of rank, from what Eunomia had mentioned, Nickeline was a very eager fighter.
However, Nickeline had shared food with *********... or food? Negaverse? Food? Negaverse? Food?...
It was quite the dilemma.
Her stomach rumbled slightly as she meandered about the current alleyway, which meant it was time to remedy one ailment. Scrambling slightly, she managed to hop up onto a garbage can lid (with a slight metallic clatter) which was directly next to another open garbage can. She delicately sniffed at the pile of mostly rotten trash-stuff, trying to see if she could find herself something edible for the evening.
"...what do we have in here...?" she seemed to hum to herself.

********* may have had Nickeline on her mind about as much as Nickeline had Eunomia on her mind. She had thought about her often, direly desiring to finish what she had started. She felt empty without a fist full of Eunomia's hair to compensate for the hair she'd grabbed. She felt incomplete without her foot in her face, and Nickeline didn't like that. It was about as bad as Nysa escaping her, but at least she had punched quite a few pages to sedate that desire for now. She had nothing to help her feel better about a lack of Eunomia to beat the s**t out of. It left the corrupt senshi feeling similiar to that of a dog on the hunt.
She had decided that eating comfort food would have to compensate for it. She had stopped by a grocery store prior to powering up, keeping a bag of food under her arm while she chowed down on a sweet bread. It was delightful and it was as delicious as kicking Eunomia's teeth out would be. She didn't exactly plan to eat out in the public though so eventually it lead her to an alleyway. This was her normal hang out, a place where she liked to relax in the dimly lit corners of the city.
It was also her hunting ground, a place where she often waited like a spider to ensnare herself a victim. It was a quiet night tonight though and instead of hunting she simply wanted a place to sit where she could eat and not have anyone stare at her. Now, she wouldn't have picked this alley had she known that there was something there. She assumed there might be a cat or two in the alley, but that was only half right. She still associated cat with normal cat, and she definitely didn't expect to see ********* a** sticking out.
"Yo, Fat Cat," she said between bites of her fresh, baked bread. Sorry, she forgot your name.

Well, apparently ********* was no longer alone in the alleyway.
The voice was familiar, but seeing as she had only met the owner of said voice one time prior, the manx had to turn around on the top of the trash can lid to face the familiar silvery haired girl. The one who had beaten up Eunomia.
And the one who currently had baked goods on her person.
"Good evening Nickeline... by the way, it is ********* was one supposed to start a conversation with a foreigner to ask about how many senshi she had been beating up? How did one accuse a corrupt senshi of fighting for the wrong reasons? ********* didn't really know the answer, so she merely fell into her basic habits.
"...are you in a sharing mood?" She gestured her head towards the snack which the corrupt senshi had brought along with her.

********* should have been easy to remember, especially given that she was a magical talking cat and there were seriously how many less of those than people? Perhaps not nearly as important in the scheme of things but considering things it shouldn't have been nearly as difficult. Either way, the memory came jogging back to Nickeline. She recalled her as Hercules wife, and that's about it. She probably got more gollies off her idea of the Hercules guardian cat than anything else.
It got her smiling, and she looked at the cat innocently. She didn't mind sharing with a cat, and Nickeline was fully supportive of fattening up this cat to see how fat it could get. Very similar to one of those experiments where you hold a magnifying glass over an ant to see if it burns, soon Nickeline was ripping a piece of her sweet bread off and tossing it toward the cat.
"For *********," she noted, tapping her foot on the ground. Effectively it spooked and then scared off a large tomcat who'd been eying both Nickeline's hair and the food she had.

Nickeline was smiling. Such in itself made her wonder about the whole ordeal with Eunomia. ********* trusted Eunomia, and though everybody was prone to exaggeration, her own injuries weren't something to simply scoff at. Had this silvery haired girl really caused all that damage?
And then a piece of sweet bread was tossed to her.
Many of the thoughts about the sides and fighting were tossed aside as the feline found sudden importance in filling the empty void in her stomach.
By the time she noticed the piece of bread, it had already bounced upon the lid of the trashcan and slightly rolled to the edge. Hastily, she swiped a paw towards it to reel it back in towards her before gobbling it up.
"Well, thank you, Nickeline! I am sure I could have found something if I looked long enough..."
She paused before turning around and settling her haunches down.
"Could I have another, please?" Her eyes seemed to watch the piece of bread intently, almost if she had suddenly made a game out of the whole thing.

Eunomia hadn't exaggerated, and if ********* had brought up that b***h Eunomia then Nickeline would be proud to say that she started it and had it coming. Who just walks in and interrupts someone's play time, really? She could have had a wonderful new friend but noooo, Eunomia had to come along and ruin that... and then she had the nerve to not even replace her as her soon to be friend! Pfft.
That was another story for another time though. Currently Nickeline was simply staring in awe at this fat cat with what seemed to be an endless stomach. She had gobbled up the piece she had given her and from what Nickeline could tell she was already asking for more. Nickeline had thought it once and she'd think it again: it was no wonder this cat was so fat.
"Mmm," she murmured, taking a bite of the sweet bread. This might have been the place for her to say no, that too much food would be bad for a cat, but instead she ripped off a large piece and handed it to the cat again. She peered at her carefully, thinking about this cat's never ending appetite.
"No feeds you?" She asked, quite curious at this point.

Another small piece of bread was offered, and the cat pawed and swiped at it without extending her claws, almost in a playful, batting motion. "Ah, thank you!" Once it was released, the manx easily stuffed the puff of bread into her mouth.
A pair of grey eyes seemed to watch her as she ate, and then a curious question seemed to pop out of the corrupted senshi's mouth.
"Oh... well... yes and no? I actually travel around the city and don't really have a place to call home. So no set place for me to eat. However, as I go about the city, there are lots of nice people who feed me. When I can't find nice people, then I have to go digging or hunting for food myself."
It was a long answer, and thinking about how well this girl seemed to understand the English language, the manx once more repeated the easy part.
"So... yes and no!" She chuckled a bit before licking her own paw lightly.

This cat had strange answers, unless everything Nickeline had learned in school about English was wrong. Yes and no meant completely opposite things and yet the cat was saying it was both? The obvious context went over her head and she just stared at the cat. Perhaps there were two of them? How else could it be a yes and a no? Perhaps context would have been clearer if she had understood more of the sentence but alas: even the yes and no was too much for her.
"Okay," she said, not understanding but not wanting a long rant trying to explain it to her either. She could live with not understanding the answer to that, and it wasn't very important anyways.

Even the simple action of licking her paw seemed to get her purring a bit. It probably had something to do with how her paw had a slight taste of the sweet bread she had been snacking on. "Mmmm... you need to tell me where you bought this bread... maybe I can start begging there..."
She stopped giving her paw attention once it seemed to lose its flavor, then set it down gently. The pair of grey eyes upon her and the tone of the single word the corrupt senshi spoke said a lot more than the single word could.
With a chuckle, the manx easily diagnosed the situation. "You didn't understand what I said, did you?" With a smile, she apologized simply. "I'm sorry. I forget you are not native to Destiny City, or the United States if I were to guess."

Despite everything, it wasn't the talking cats that confused Nickeline but the smiling cats. It was just weird to think of, sort of bizarre. It left her feeling strange, especially from *********. Her hand reached out from the her side where she held it over the manx's head, briefly putting her hand down on top of the feline's head while her eyes intently watched the expression of the cat. So weird.
"Mmm," she said, simply nodding. She heard it a lot in school but that was mostly her fault. She didn't have any interest in learning English, and any troubles she faced she simply tried to get around it other ways. If she needed to communicate then she could do so with her body or they could just learn Greek. Clearly it wasn't hard, everyone seemed to think she should know more English by now and she could say the same about everyone else and Greek.
"Greece," she reminded, squatting down to stare ********* in the face some more. Why did these cats talk? Why did they smile? Frown? Nickeline didn't follow school lectures very well but she was pretty certain only humans could talk. Was there some strange magic making humans into cats? That would explain the talking, and magic wasn't all that surprising anymore. Talking cats though? Strange. Frowning cats? Down right crazy.
"How?" She asked, thinking of her words. "Talk? Smile?"

The brief pat on the head caused the manx to lean into the hand, eyes closing in contentment before it abandoned her head. "Awww... I like being petted, Nickeline!" She didn't sound too disappointed, more playful teasing than anything. And when the girl lowered herself down to ********* level, the manx scooted closer and leaned in, her own nose almost touching the girl's.
"Yes, I do recall you are from Greece... I am curious how the Negaverse found you in all honesty... especially so far away... but that's another question for another time." Especially since she was pretty certain a majority of what she just said probably went over Nickeline's head.
The silvery haired girl did have a set of partial questions. Sitting back on her haunches again, she lifted her paws up and stretched out her digits slightly, as if trying to wave fingers. In one clean motion, she replied "Magic!" It was pretty much true. Not all Earth cats could do these things. If Magic could make Senshi, it could make cats able to speak and smile and express themselves fully.

Nickeline had been a little shocked when ********* leaned in so close but she stood her ground. If the cat was going to bite her face then so be it! She would get her revenge but she refused to back away. Nothing happened though, and the obvious cute nose kisses that Nickeline almost got went right over her head. So did most of what ********* said after that, consisting of just: Greece Negaverse found you far away. Interesting enough, that actually that sort of made a correct sentence on its own.
"Magic huh," she repeated. It was no real surprise there. How was she able to make people lose their breath? Magic!
"Me too." She said with a general nod.

There was a hint of a giggle from the cat in response to Nickeline's words. "Yes, Senshi are magic... though you are a mixture of magic and chaos the way you currently are." Nickeline wasn't the way she was supposed to be. It was obvious with how there was a hole in her chest and on her forehead.
With a tilt of her head, the cat had to ask. "So... um... the hole on your forehead... does... it hurt?" With a paw, she ran it over her own star shape upon her forehead, as if trying to mime touching the spot. ********* words were merely curious, seeming more conversational than anything. "I am just a simple cat, and I have always been curious... could you humor me, Nickeline?"

It always felt strange when attention was drawn to the strange holes in her. She had never given it too much though since they only appeared when she was powered up but every time they were mentioned she thought about it more. Why were there holes in her but not the other senshi? Holes were never a good thing, at least not in her mind. Holes in a building were a weakness that if left unchecked could destroy the very foundation, holes in a grocery bag would most likely cause a tear that would spread through it until the groceries were on the ground, holes in your clothes left you feeling open and exposed, and holes in your umbrella prevented you from remaining dry in the rain.
Feeling open and exposed suddenly, Nickeline covered the hole in her chest with her hands. A small flush over her face, her eyes briefly looking at ********* pale purple star. Her hands shook lightly, her body stepping back into the shadows of the alley. It felt strange, it didn't hurt but it felt different and she didn't like the eyes on her. She shook her head to *********, the glimmer of her hair showing through the shadows, and murmured a low 'no' that was hard to distinguish over her accent.

A pair of pale green eyes blinked at the reaction. It almost looked as if Nickeline had been hit with a sudden shame before she seemed to retreat slightly. The quiet word that had been offered in reply did not go unnoticed, a pair of ears perking up as they escaped the dark senshi's lips.
"...if I got the answer correct... then I am glad it does not hurt..." There was a brief pause before she stated the obvious. "I take it that this is not a kosher subject to talk about. Hmmm... so yes... bakery!" A subject change was definitely necessary it seemed, and the Mauvian was more than willing to oblige.
"Tell me... where did you get the bread? Is it close by?"
