Quote:
The Tokyo Persona-User TeamThree years ago, six students joined together on a junior high basketball team that became well-known throughout the nation. Okina Middle School was the academy where they all united, and by combining the unique talents of all the players involved, these six embarked upon an unprecedented series of successes that lead to the team being anointed the strongest generation of talent in Japan's short history of national basketball. And the six students who comprised the talented middle school team were hailed as future stars for the country, with many speculating what they might be able to accomplish at the high school level and beyond. However, there was dissension amongst the team, and their goals began to differ. Realizing that if they stuck together they would go unchallenged for their high school careers and wishing to see whose ideology was more correct, they made a pact to split and all attend different high schools in Tokyo where they would become rivals, not teammates. Despite their split, however, the team remained in contact...but when one of their own, Itachi Kishikido, went missing during a strange incident, they joined together to track down their lost friend...becoming entangled by sheer bad luck in an incident much larger than any one of them... ... Together, these five friends and rivals learned of the existence of creatures called shadows, and one-by-one, awakened to a power called Persona. Lead by their former team captain, Akashi Seijuurou, their adventure brought them into contact with these shadows, lead to their forming friendships with others outside of their circle who were also caught up in the investigation, and tracking down the evil being at the heart of the incidents. Through many trials they became stronger, drew closer to one another, coming ever-more within sight of the truth behind the mysteries. They were an efficient, talented, and powerful team. Akashi Seijuurou, the leader and former Captain of their former Basketball Team, whose calm, cold foresight and leadership abilities make him the ultimate general for a team of persona-users. His teammates' absolute faith in his orders allows them to do their duties without fail, knowing that they can trust his words as law. He takes victory as a given, and meets those who do not adhere to his commands with a sharp tongue and a heavy punishment. His abilities are in his eyes and his mind, but his physical abilities are top-class as well. Midorima Shintarou, the sharpshooter and shooting guard of their former Basketball Team, a superstitious young man who adheres closely to astrological signs, always carrying with him lucky items and doing things in a perfectly measured rhythm. He never takes chances with his actions, knowing precisely when to attack, when to defend, and so on. His fingers are deadly weapons, and he keeps them wrapped with tape most of the time to protect them. While he is physically capable, his long-range attacks are the most deadly of all the team. Atsushi Murasakibara, the massive defensive wall and center of their former Basketball Team, he is an incredibly large person for a high school student. He is tall and thin, but has a wingspan that makes him a wall both on the court and on the battlefield. Surpassing him to attack his friends is nearly impossible when he is serious, but unlike the others, he finds little joy in any of what they are doing. He merely does it because he is good at it, and would prefer to be somewhere eating snacks, which he spends his every penny on in his free time. Despite that, he likes his friends, and his talent in absorbing attacks and returning the damage is second to none. But if one were to think that his size and defensive prowess means he can't attack, it would be a foolish thought... Kuroko Tetsuya, the tiny phantom sixth man of their former basketball team. His skill is his lack of presence, a barely-noticeable ally to the other talented members of their squad...while his physical abilities are quite sub-par, his talent is in misdirection and using merely that and his piecemeal attacks and supporting skills alone, he has earned the right to stand on equal footing with the monstrous teammates around him. Often his friends and enemies alike completely lose sight of him on the field or court, only to find him in their blind spot, attacking their weak point with precisely the sort of attack that could bring them down. He may not have power, but his deceptive skill makes him as dangerous as any of his other friends...though his plainly good heart means that he never uses this ability in anger or maliciously. And Kise Ryouta, the jack-of-all-trades shooting forward of their former basketball team, a man with near-perfect muscle memory who can watch someone attack and mimic their movements and skills to the letter. He was the last one to join their group of friends and the basketball team, but his rate of improvement is impossibly fast. He learns as he watches, and incorporates new skills on the fly, making him the player and fighter with the highest potential of all of them. He loves to compete, loves to make new friends, and even does some modeling in his free time, meaning that he is a slight celebrity in Tokyo at the moment. Probably the nicest member of the team, he is also one of the most fiercely competitive. And while he is capable in every area of fighting, that is not to say he has any weaknesses. With the absence of Itachi from their group, Kise is the unquestioned Ace...even if he lacks that special something that makes Akashi their leader (and the most dangerous member of their team). ... Others joined them along the way, including a certain girl named Momoi Satsuki who became the heart of their team...a kind girl who had been their manager during their Middle School days, who couldn't ignore the voice of someone crying out in need no matter how dangerous the situation became. Every member of the team was fond of her, but even so, Akashi could never get used to her diversions from his plans which put them all (and her especially) at risk. When someone was in pain, she would go whether he warned her or not...she was simultaneously someone very important to the team and to their Captain alike, and someone who brought him great grief. But there was no grief that could prepare them for the mission in which they lost her, a trap set by their enemy which lured her in with a cry for help. She could not resist helping someone in need, even though Akashi had warned her not to go...and in spite of his orders, she had gone. And by the time they found her it was already too late. Satsuki died in Kuroko's arms...and their team was never the same. ... Friends and rivals became coldhearted comrades with a single purpose: victory over the enemy that had taken so much from them. Driven to an incomparable grief over his inability to foresee her death, Akashi became a devil who punished violently those who disobeyed him. "If only she had listened to my orders, this would never have happened..." he was known to say, though his friends knew that his anger was more like a mask for the guilt that wrecked him. They were all in pain...but none more than their leader, whose powers and abilities should have been able to prevent it. And even when he began to go too far, when his anger drove them out of Tokyo in pursuit of their enemy, tearing down anybody who got in their way, they followed him for reasons twofold... To defeat their enemy at whatever cost and avenge Satsuki, treating their leaders words henceforth as law and never disobeying him out of a mixture of trust and fear... ...And to protect their leader from himself, to never leave him alone lest his grief overwhelm him. ... And as they passed down through the country in pursuit of their great foe, the watchful eye of the country's protectors followed them, sensing the great threat posed now not only by their enemy...but by the team itself. ... Now, their path of righteous vengeance brings them to the town of Inaba, where their enemy seeks to lay claim to a certain power...a power that will allow it to unleash a storm unlike any that has come before on the capital. ... And the Generation of Miracles, this hurt and powerful team of persona-users formerly from Okina, come down from Tokyo to take their revenge, will do anything...and destroy anyone who thinks to get in the way of their revenge.

::Akashi Seijuurou, the Captain:: Quote: Gaia Avatar: Gaia Name: NPC - Arena Emperor Quote: Name: Akashi Seijuurou Nicknames: Captain, the Emperor Age: 18 Appearance: School: Rakuzan High School (Tokyo Area) Grade: Senior Position: Point Guard (Captain) Specialty: Leadership Personality: Once the trustworthy and well-respected leader of the Okina City Middle School basketball team and their shadow-combatant squad, he has hardened over time into a vicious taskmaster who places victory over their enemies above all else. He hides his guilt over the loss of their friend with anger, demanding a strict adherence to his commands and punishing those who fail to do so violently. Nonetheless, he feels an overwhelming responsibility to his team, and holds no one to a higher standard than himself. His tremendous foresight allows him to anticipate many situations, giving him great confidence and success in any conflict. This has lead him to become used to victory to the point that he views it as a part of life as necessary as breathing...to lose is outside of his consideration...though one must wonder how much of this attitude is a result of his guilt towards the last 'loss' they suffered. His worst nightmare is to let his friends down and repeat what happened to their departed ally... Bio: Akashi Seijuurou, the leader and former Captain of their former Basketball Team, whose calm, cold foresight and leadership abilities make him the ultimate general for a team of persona-users. He is currently the Captain of the Rakuzan High School basketball team and the leader of the Tokyo Persona-User team. ::Shintarou Midorima, the Sharpshooter:: Quote: Gaia Avatar: Gaia Name: NPC - Great Ryoman! Quote: Name: Midorima Shintarou Nicknames: The Sharpshooter, The Sniper, Mii-chan Age: 17 Appearance: School: Shuutoku High School (Tokyo Area) Grade: Senior Position: Shooting Guard Specialty: Sharpshooting Personality: Midorima acts incredibly serious, and tends to plan things out in advance, though rarely as far as their Captain. In stark contrast, he will never act without first checking his astrology signs for the day, or without a lucky item, to the point of outright rejecting actions if one or the other suggests ill. Though his character is serious, Midorima is actually kind in nature and especially likes those who work hard or take heavy burdens upon themselves. One of his desires is to free Akashi from his obsession with victory, and in turn, bring the spirit that once drove their team back to life. Bio: Midorima is in some ways a pragmatist. In basketball, he always believed that one simply had to make three-pointers in order to win, since the value was greater. He treats battle the same way, simply believing that finishing the opponent from the greatest distance, with the greatest safety, and with one-hit firepower is the only truly practical way to eliminate his enemies. His obsession with attaining the highest quality in anything he does, his sheer perfectionism, eventually led him to search for anything that could benefit towards that end, even if it was merely a positive impact on spirit or belief. As a result, he began to check his horoscope daily, and collect lucky items, comparing astrology signs to anyone he met to decide whether he would accept them or not. He even bandages his fingers in between practices to protect them, aware that the smallest change could make his long-range shots miss. Midorima is also unable to get along with easygoing people, and is at odds with people who have similar personalities to Kise or Kuroko. Due to his desire to obtain the highest chance of success possible, Midorima will not take an action unless he's absolutely sure of his victory. As a result, he often rejects team-tactics, or will default even if there is a high chance of success if the possibility of interference arises. Although he never trusted anyone from Okina enough to rely on them, his new teammates have acquired his faith, and with it Midorima is willing to try tactics that even seem impossible due to his sheer belief in them, making his aim even deadlier than ever before. Finally, due to the fact that Akashi's commands never fail to pan out, Midorima will follow them even if he does not believe it himself...although due to his leader's new attitude, Midorima has lost all joy in seeing these commands come to fruition time and again. Midorima's abilities lie in his eyes and fingers, whose movements he practiced to control every part of, but his height and physical stature are both above average as well, making him quite capable as a defensive figure. Upon joining Shutoku High in Tokyo, Midorima was instantly made their Ace, but aside from sports he will still come without a moment's hesitation if called on by Akashi. After the incident, his obsession with perfection only increased, believing the grievous loss their team suffered to be due to their mistakes. However, unlike Akashi his new team slowly helped to curb his suffering...a gift he wishes he could share with their desperate Persona Team Captain. Quote: Ultimate Persona DataArcana: The Wheel of Fortune Ultimate Persona Name: Pharis Ultimate Persona Appearance: Persona Skills:Regenerate 1, Invigorate 1, Evade Physical, Heat Riser, Mediarama, Wind Break, Wind Amp, Assassinate, Ari Dance, Panta Rhei, Judgment of Light, Fog Breath Unique Skills:Zodiac Blessing - As one who adheres tightly to the ideal of 'attacking when the time is right', and avoids combat when the time is not. (Effect: Doubles all bow damage.) [Evolved Persona Ability] Best Fortune - Being a sharpshooter includes knowing when and how to attack your opponents. When fortunes are at their strongest, his ability to strike an enemy's weakness becomes supernatural (Effect: Bow shots will take on the elemental property to which an enemy is most vulnerable.) [Ultimate Persona Ability] Arc Shot - With hands guided by fortune and impeccable skill, the ultimate sharpshooter hits his mark with terribly precision...every time. (Effect: Any attack launched with this skill active will hit its mark with 100% damage. Lasts 5 turns and charges 2 turns. Doubles all bow damage.) [Sharpshooter Ability] Elemental Affinities: Null - Elec, Resist - Ice, Weak - Wind Quote: Items Owned::Midorima's Bow - Long-range, SP-projectile bow formed from green energy in the hands and drawing directly from the user's SP. RNG rolls for and against Midorima when this token is equipped will ALWAYS be slanted an extra 1 in his favor. ::Atsushi Murasakibara, the Wall:: Quote: Gaia Avatar: Gaia Name: NPC - Arena Emperor Quote: Name: Atsushi Murasakibara Nicknames: None Age: 18 Appearance: School: Yosen High School (Tokyo Area) Grade: Senior Position: Center Specialty: Defense Personality: Murasakibara is a rather friendly figure normally, and enjoys most ordinary activities with friends, albeit with the addition of sweets. The things he's good at though, using Personas and Basketball, he hates. Even to those who he may be otherwise amicable, when on the court or in the field it often comes as a shock at what a change in personality it is. Murasakibara only participates in either because he's talented, and believes that people should give up on the things they aren't skilled at. To those who speak of hard work, or overcoming hardship, he becomes loathsome and despises the idea enough to want to crush their ideals or injure them directly, although he does so by-the-books to drive the nail even deeper. Moved by the tragedy, his hatred of those who don't have the power to make their dreams a reality only deepened, though a rare few believe it's simply a way for him to punish himself for having failed to protect someone close to them. Bio: Murasakibara was pushed to play basketball from a young age due to his unnatural height, and many would say his personality was shaped by this childhood. After entering middle school, Akashi recruited him to their team, and eventually they became allies in both battle and sports. Due to Akashi's perfect record, Murasakibara considers him the single most talented person and thus, answers to Akashi without question. However, it is the wounded nature of Akashi's drive to win that draws sympathy from the normally kind Murasakibara. As Murasakibara grew up, he only became taller, and his legs and arms were longer than the average Japanese, giving him a god-given level of talent, which he used to further his beliefs. The fact that he could so easily overcome people's hardest efforts slowly turned from sympathy, which the losing athletes hated, to melancholy, and even hatred. His talent as a Persona User merely reflected this antipathy, and he started to only become interested in contests when he was either goaded (he's actually incredibly easy to anger, taking to even the most childish insults), or when he was faced with someone who truly pushed themselves to their limit in hard work so that he might destroy their 'delusions'. Due to their talent outweighing any average human no matter how hard they trained, Murasakibara recognizes all of his Persona User teammates as friends, although initially he despised Kise for his diligence...until the latter awakened to his true talent, that was. When the team went to High School Murasakibara simply searched for the most talented team he could, choosing Yosen which could make the greatest use of his impeccable defense. At a word he would return to Akashi, but in the meantime he tries to live a normal life with friends, attending basketball only due to repetition of the action. His obsession with candy is well known, and Murasakibara's special abilities lie in his sheer size and stature, being nearly seven foot tall despite being a mere High School student, with the ability to smash through small defenses easily or reject attacks from small offenses outright. Comparing him to a giant might seem like a stretch, but in sheer strength Murasakibara is probably the greatest member of Akashi's team, and without his powers his ability to overpower three other High School students at a time make the image seem like a definite reality. After the tragedy, Murasakibara began to hate diligence even more, rejecting other's hard work without a thought. On the outside, it would seem he simply didn't care, but inwardly the thought that his own lackadaisical attitude might have hurt someone...that it had been his duty, since he was their impenetrable shield, and that perhaps if he hadn't taken things so easy... that never would have happened. If anyone knew that, they might simply think he was running away... Quote: Ultimate Persona DataArcana: The Tower Ultimate Persona Name: Wendigo Ultimate Persona Appearance: Persona Skills:Survive Light, Survive Dark, Life Bonus, Ice Boost, Ice Break, Power Charge, Enduring Soul, God's Hand, Divine Pillar, Judgment of Darkness, Niflheim, Anti-Almighty Unique Skills:Devour Whole - Plagued by hunger and desire that never seems to be fulfilled, his persona gives him the ability to refresh himself on one attack of many, if multiple attacks are used against him. (Effect: Consume one magic attack when attacked by many, restoring 5% health and magic.) [Evolved Persona Ability] Tornado Jam - An incredibly heavy ball of energetic punch that damages even those who would normally withstand it. (Effect: Severe Phys Damage and Break Phys Resist, including Drain.) [Ultimate Persona Ability] Tower Guard - Ultimate defense of a true master. (Effect: Reduces all physical damage greatly and prevents statuses. Choose one element when begin attacked and completely negate all skills of said element (only works on elements, not Phys, non-elemental, etc.) [Defensive Ability] Elemental Affinities: Null - Ice, Wind, Resist - Phys, Weak - Fire Quote: Items Owned::Atsushi's Bracers - Reinforced bracers worn on the joints and over the fist, they provide extra support and slightly increase speed, phys. attack and defense. ::Kise Ryouta, the Ace:: Quote: Gaia Avatar: Gaia Name: NPC - ??? Quote: Name: Kise Ryouta Nicknames: None Age: 17 Appearance: School: Kaijou High School (Tokyo Area) Grade: Senior Position: Shooting Forward Specialty: Mimicry Personality: Intelligent, handsome, kind, and friendly, he seems an ill fit for the serious team of which he is a part. However, he is intensely competitive and while not the type to cheat or take things too far, will do what it takes to win a fight or a game. His talent in mimicry, allowing him to copy the abilities of allies and enemies alike with surprising accuracy...but his hard working nature makes him an even more terrifying enemy...and comforting friend...to those who meet him. Bio: Kise is one of the friendliest people that you could ever meet. Talented, intelligent, and handsome, he has always excelled at whatever he put his mind to doing. In grade school he played soccer, baseball, and even became a part of many different culture groups in hopes of finding something and someone whom he could not master with merely his talent alone. It wasn't until he set foot in Okina City Middle School and laid eyes on Itachi Kishikido and Akashi Seijuurou, testing himself against their incredible skills, that he found a pair of rivals that could truly light his fire. Instantly, the members of the basketball team became his best friends and rivals, and he took to practicing every single day in order to cultivate his talent and draw himself closer to the level of his peers. He was the fifth man on their team, but with his adaptability, learning the skills of his teammates as he went, he grew exponentially over time until he was able to stand on equal footing to the rest of his friends. Unfortunately, it was just as he began to come into his own that the team went their separate ways, Kise taking his talents to the infamously high-class Kaijou High School and their team. Despite parting ways with his friends, however, he pledged that by the time they met again he would have surpassed them all on the court...but all of those plans began to fall apart when the shadows revealed themselves to he and his friends... ...Joining together, he answered Akashi's call without question and became a member of their team when he awakened to his own persona, having a singularly limitless talent in that as he did in basketball. His talent was different from the others, however...who had their specializations...whereas Kise had talent in every aspect of his game and every aspect of battle, the ability to learn and mimic those abilities that he saw with an innate talent possessed by no other. He was a natural, but he worked just as hard as his teammates as well. He was confident that with his skills growing as quickly as they were, that there was no enemy that he and his friends could not overcome...until the death of one of their own rocked him to the core. Despairing, but not broken in spirit, he was one of the first who realized the only way to put things right was to keep fighting, to keep moving forward, and to defeat their enemies once and for all. However, his sturdy spirit was challenged by the cold finality in Akashi's orders, the unflinching manner in which the team began to proceed towards the finish line never quite sitting right with him. He could never deny Akashi's orders no matter how much he wanted to, and he could never abandon his old friend when he knew that he was hurting as much as anybody. And yet, something never quite felt right about the turn that their team's attitude had taken....though he could never quite say that to the others and have them listen, either. Nonetheless, he remains close with all of them, and in his spare time he is a slightly famous high school model in the Tokyo area. He views Kuroko Tetsuya as one of his best friends, Itachi Kishikido as his chief rival, and the other members of the team as invaluable friends. He would fight to the death for any one of them if the need arose...though more than likely, with his ever-increasing skills, it would not be his own death that came to pass. Quote: Ultimate Persona DataArcana: The Lovers Ultimate Persona Name: Doppelganger Ultimate Persona Appearance: (Changes to mirror the one being copied.) Persona Skills:Pierce Unique Skills:See and Raise - Perfectly copy and improve (either by raising the level one, or hitting all targets instead of one) upon one Skill List technique used by an opponent each turn. [Evolved Persona Ability] Perfect Copy - Perfectly copy and use one custom attack of an opponent's each turn. [Ultimate Persona Ability] Muscle Memory - Kise's incredible athleticism allows him to perfectly mimic the highest level of attack, defense, and speed amongst all the foes aligned against him. ::Tetsuya Kuroko, the Phantom:: Quote: Gaia Avatar: Gaia Name: NPC - ??? Quote: Name: Kuroko Tetsuya Nicknames: None Age: 17 Appearance: School: Seirin High School (Tokyo Area) Grade: Senior Position: 6th Man Specialty: Misdirection Personality: Quiet and calm, he lacks presence that makes him easy to lose track of even if he is standing right beside you. He is polite, but not overly friendly (at least until he decides he can trust you), and can be quite competitive when the time comes. He is a support player, however, and lends his strength to those he believes make a suitable 'light' to his 'shadow' style of play. There is a strong belief in him in teamwork, and he does not care for styles of fighting and play which ignore it. Despite being loyal to Akashi even after the loss of their friend, who they often suspected had feelings for Kuroko, he stayed true to her wishes and could not buy into the new style of victory-first fighting the team began to believe in. He fights alongside them, but at the same time, hopes for someone who can defeat Akashi and snap him out of this terrible fall... Bio: Kuroko is a testament to someone who has always had the odds stacked against him, and how far his hard work and a singular talent can take him. Gifted with an inborn ability to go unnoticed by those around him and little else, he took up basketball simply because he enjoyed the game. One-on-one, however, he was always quite awful...and when he joined Okina City's Middle School he found himself buried in the 3rd Team immediately with little hope of escaping. However, his love of the game and determination kept him in the gym late after hours, longer than even the starters on his team ever remained behind to practice until one day, Itachi Kishikido heard a rumor of a 'phantom' in the gym at night that he chose to investigate. What he found was not a ghost, however, but Kuroko furiously practicing to become better at the game. Together they began practicing every night, with Kise Ryouta eventually joining them...and eventually the rest of the starting five after that. Through these late-night practices it began to dawn on the starters that Kuroko had his own special talent that he could exploit, in addition to a natural inclination towards a supporting role on the court. He wasn't very good at dribbling and he was never good at shooting...but his passes were excellent. What set him apart, however, was his ability to use misdirection against his foes. His lack of presence and the overwhelming presence of those around him could allow him to go completely overlooked, giving him high-end opportunities to pass, shoot, etc. And when the Middle School Team split and went their separate ways, he jumped at the chance to join a new squad at Seirin where he could test his own brand of basketball, discovered playing with the others, against his old teammates to see which would be superior. ...This skill of his remained useful, however, even when the shadows began to appear and he eventually awakened to his own persona. Going unnoticed by the shadows he could boost and support his friends with little threat to himself, and land surprise attacks that would catch them all off-guard. And when their middle school's former manager joined the team, often flirting and fawning over him in her own high-energy way, their evening excursions against the shadows began to taste of a lovely sort of nostalgia...even though it hadn't been that long ago they played ball together. ...It was fun, playing with his own team in high school, making new friends...and then going out at night into Tokyo with his old teammates, reigniting their friendships and doing good in their fight. But the seriousness of their new mission was brought home in the most painful manner when Satsuki was murdered by their enemy, breaking the hearts of his teammates and leaving them picking up the pieces to form a newer, more serious team that Kuroko found was nothing like the fun and fulfilling experience the original team had been. He couldn't abandon his teammates after all they had been through, but neither did he feel as though they were properly honoring Satsuki's memory by taking such a heartless, victory-first mentality into their war on the shadows. He was torn between what he wanted to do, and the direction Akashi was pulling them. Not that he couldn't understand his grief, but then...how far would it all go before they were satisfied? He wondered...and he kept moving forward alongside his friends, even after she was lost. Even after Itachi disappeared...they fought on. But somewhere in his heart, Kuroko couldn't help but wonder if it wouldn't be better if someone came along and defeated them...not to the death, but merely someone better showing them a better way. Perhaps then, Akashi might see the downward spiral he had set them all on in his guilt and anger...but until then, he would still fight to protect his friends and to defeat the person who had ripped out their hearts. In his own way... ::Chiriko Tsurumi:: Quote: Gaia Avatar: Gaia Name: NPC – Hibarii chan Quote: Name: Chiriko Tsurumi Nicknames: Tsuruko (used when she was young, no one calls her that now though), Miss Manager (by the Rakuzan team) Age: 17 Appearance: School: Rakuzan High School (Tokyo Area) Grade: Senior Position: Team manager/Support Specialty: Clutch Personality: Chiriko is a quiet observer, and tends to be overly serious and logical. She likes having things on order, and is irked when things go wrong due to a lack of discipline or planning. Acts at times as the voice of reason and as a guardian. She is very loyal to the team and especially to Akashi, and won’t stand to see them hurt. That was why, after the tragedy, she seems to think twice about what they were doing…it was an eye-opener to their own mortality and inexperience. Chiriko doesn’t exactly agree with the team’s direction, but knowing the guilt and pain their leader feels, she keeps to herself, still trusting his judgment and decisions. She won’t allow any doubts directed at him by others, answering with harsh words…but at times, she would speak up, herself…in hopes of finding another path for them, and helping Akashi find some peace. Bio: Chiriko has been linked to basketball as long she can remember. Ever since she was a small girl, she practiced the sport, usually playing in the park or at school. Her shy disposition back then made her kind of invisible, and it was only in basketball that she felt she could let herself go, turning into a completely different person. She was fierce, swift and cunning…abilities that made her captain of the girls’ basketball team during grade school. She met Akashi Seijuurou somewhere around that time and his talent at basketball took her attention and admiration right away. Still, she liked challenging him to friendly matches, if only to see how well she was doing in comparison to him. Never was she able to win, but at least she was able to keep up his pace. And she had to admit those were more fun than any other. In Okina City Middle School though, she had to step back and let the basketball to others. The lack of a female team made her to stand out of the court and become an observer, at times taking care of the male team’s training and giving suggestions. She continued practicing on her own, feeling she had to keep active and moving, if she wanted to be of any help to the team, even if it was out of the court. The team went their separate ways, all going to different high schools, Chiriko following Akashi to Rakuzan. There, she became the team’s manager, always keeping the team in line, making them follow the captain’s instructions, and not hesitating to show her own skills if taunted. It was around that time that the former team from middle school gathered together again…and not long after that she began noticing something strange about those meetings. They seemed different somehow, and she couldn’t help thinking there was something they were hiding. And it bothered her greatly. She didn’t like feeling pushed aside. So, Chiriko made her mind one time to follow them one night in means to confront them, wanting to ask them about whatever they were doing. What she found there wasn’t what she had been expecting… She awakened to her Persona when she saw the team in danger, and became part of the team. Things didn’t go as smoothly after a while though. Losing one of their own was a harsh blow for the team, crippling it into something they shouldn’t have ever become. She still trusts and follows Akashi wherever he may lead them, even if it pains her greatly seeing him like that and despite the bad feeling it leaves her. ::Aichi Iyagashi, the Gopher:: Quote: Gaia Avatar: Gaia Name: NPC - Necromonium Quote: Name: Aichi Iyagashi Nicknames: Ai, Kid, Gopher, IYAAAAAA Age: 15 Appearance: School: Shuutoku High school Grade: Freshman Position: Point Guard Specialty: Control Personality: Aichi is kind of meek, and usually doesn't seem to stand up for himself a lot, being a constant bully target. However, he doesn't do this out of fear of others, but instead, because he isn't the type to make waves. His reluctance to cause trouble hides his Iron will. He's impossibly stubborn, and a firm believer in what he wants....Which is what makes him a good player on the court. He doesn't have the height advantage of others, but if he gets the ball, he will not let it go, and has sharp, controlled passes. Bio: Aichi had been a rather meek and quiet kid, getting pushed about, and letting people walk all over him for most of his life. One day though, a fateful encounter with an upper-classman gave him the inspiration to get better about himself. Eventually, he joined up with the basketball team...as a Waterboy. He'd been a third string, passed-over kid, with no real discovered talent. However, one day after practice, a group of bullies had been trying to take something important from him, pummeling and beating him. Eventually though, A certain Upperclassman caught up with them....and realized that he'd managed to keep hold of the very object, easily. The next day, he went through practice, and for the first time, got to practice in a scrimmage. He missed most every one of his shots...but the ball was never stolen, and his passes weren't intercepted. Being low to the ground, he rarely lost his balance, and he was designated as a member of the team. He never made the deciding shot, but he was an excellent support member, being able to put on a lot of pressure, and keep the ball on his side. He felt confident if he fed the ball to Midorima, their ace shooter...They'd win. Over the time with the team, he managed to toughen himself up...If only a bit. His handling and tenacity were his strong points, and the amount of control he had over the ball was great....so long as he didn't try to shoot. His lack of an imposing figure hurt his playing a bit.....But that all changed when he got his persona. With his Other self came a new set of powers...Those that Enhanced his own potential, and instilled him with a grander sense of confidence. His own being started out simple enough, but grew in strength..And he became an invaluable member of the Team. He kept up a peaceful, cheery personality......Until that fateful incident happened. He withdrew into himself again, having believed if maybe he had Been stronger...If he had just a bit more control...Then they wouldn't have lost... And so, his power grew once more, in a darker direction. His desire to control a situation, and make sure something as drastic as that would never happen again expressing in a more malicious way than before. Despite this, he still has a sweet side underneath it....Just not for anyone who gets between the group and their goals. He wouldn't give up control again.... His sword glows with a bright light, and in an instant, He slashes with it forward, dealing 1-3 hits of High Light and Physical damage to one target. [Four turn cooldown between uses] [Ultimate Persona Skill] [Psyqualia]-Aichi's eyes glow with a strange light, as he takes into view every one of his enemies, along with his allies. For a bit, the very being of the area seems to shift, and as Aichi's expression darkens, it feels like one's world is turned on it's head. Any status-buffs, and debuffs are Inverted. (So -Kaja's work like -Undas for the turn, and vice Versa.) This ability Also inverts the power of Charges, making attacks much weaker, instead of much stronger. ::Tiir Rumibul, the Anti-Spirit:: Quote: Gaia Avatar: [Mods will do this.] Gaia Name: Arena Emperor (NPC) Quote: Name: Tiir Rumibul Nicknames: Anti-Spirit, Sin Eater Age: Unknown (Appears 19) Appearance: Love Interest: None Personality: Simply put, Tiir views humans and other empowered beings as being little more than inferior beings, viewing the powerful such as himself as monsters out of convenience and the need to gang up, to ostracize his own ilk to survive. He has become so used to fighting and blood that he can treat it with a perfectly calm, bloodthirsty approach. Bio: The details of the history of the Anti-Spirit are little-known amongst those who lack deep knowledge of the supernatural. ...The first known instances in which the creature known as the 'Anti-Spirit' appeared in history were hundreds of years ago...an incursion of human beings in possession of demonic traits destroyed by a single 'shaman', who destroyed the army in a single day...an incident recorded in the Yatagarasu History of the Supernatural Anthology. Similar incidents cropped up occasionally throughout history...with the description of the character occasionally changing. Recently, however, there have been no reports of the Anti-Spirit...a surprise, given the heavy supernatural growth in what has become called the 'Supernatural Hotbed' between Iwatodai and Inaba. When great amounts of power gather, when malevolent forces stretch the bounds of what is possible, it is often discovered that this creature is involved in their demise... ...But whether it still exists, what it looks like, and just what it is capable of is a mystery to all, even the keepers of records...though all who have ever heard the term know of the great danger it possesses. Quote: Ability DataArcana: None Ino Dwoe- An ancient 'curse' that manifests as a cross symbol that glows in the eye, often called the "God's Eye", this is the core ability of the creatures/humans known as 'Anti-Spirits'. Ino Dwoe refers to the ability to devour magic in all various forms. Devouring spells, magical items, magical flesh...what is empowered, even a body's innate resistances, becomes nothing in the presence of the Ino Dwoe, little more than food which increases his physical strength, durability, agility, and lethality...and restores his vitality in battle...with every meal. And with all of the power that he has devoured until now, his abilities go beyond that of the supernatural...making him into the terror that summoners, demons, and others of their ilk have whispered over for centuries before...pushing them to hunt down the Anti-Spirits to the last. Elemental Affinities:Resist: None Weak: None Quote: Items Owned::-None: Tiir does not equip a weapon. His body is strong enough to pierce, tear, and devour even strong flesh and bone. ::Obelyn Cernunnos, the Red Viper:: Quote: Gaia Avatar:Gaia Name: Arena Emperor Quote: Name: Obelyn Cernunnos Nicknames: The Red Viper Age: Unknown (appears in 20s-30s) Appearance: , Obelyn Full-BodyClan: Cernunnos Rank Lord Love Interest: ??? (But as has been said, he is famous for frakkin' half the underworld.) Personality: There is a mischief and devil-may-care way about him, a freedom of speech and thought and deed and promiscuity that defines him. He is restless, never given to any one passion for too long before mastering what he wishes of it and moving on. He hates deeply, loves even more deeply, and is loyal to his clan to a fault. For a devil, he is surprisingly forthright...wearing his heart on his sleeve as well as his grudges, his interests and inclinations. All of which belies a venom festering deep within his heart, the need for vengeance...for justice. And his patience for lying in wait for the perfect moment to strike is all but worn completely... Bio: Born into the Cernunnos Clan of demons, he was a Prince of the Underworld from the day he was born...flattered and loved by the warriors souls that were claimed by his father Belroth and his sister Morrighan, the King and Princess of the little corner of the underworld which they ruled. Owning a small corner of Hell, they were strong and venomous as a family, and even the Prince of Darkness himself had always let them be, let them claim what few Celtic souls they desired...never wishing to waste his Generals in an open conflict with the powerful serpents of Cernunnos. Obelyn knew of this unspoken agreement, took pride in the nobility, the strength, the beauty of his family, and he was beloved nearly as much as his older sister. He studied as he liked, loved as he liked, and was notorious as well, both for his conquests on the battlefield and in the bedroom. His family was proud, close-knit, and they were happy as they had been for countless ages... ...Everything changed on that day, when upon his return from Japan in the human world he discovered that his family's kingdom had been decimated, parsed out between the generals of Lucifer's Armies...and the daughter of the Norse Trickster Loki while he was gone. He laid low in the Underworld for a while, listening to the stories and gathering what little information he and his personal escort...the only members of the family to escape the slaughter...could glean from what those who inherited his territories would tell. His father and sister had received word that the Lord of Darkness was preparing an attack...and raised arms to prepare themselves, though on the eve of the War both fell ill...victims of poison. Belroth had been unable to fight in the battle...his age and the poison combining to incapacitate him entirely, leaving his beautiful and powerful sister Morrighan, young and vital enough to stand and to fight...to lead their family against the invading forces alone. ...It was a massacre. Betrayed from within by Hel, whom they had believed to be loyal, it became clear from the outset that their doom was upon them...and that the Trickster God of the Norse had been the one to instigate his daughter into doing so. The souls which they had safeguarded, the Celtic Warriors, became enslaved by the Prince of Darkness...his family and friends were killed, without mercy. What territory the Prince of Darkness had never dared lay claim to in Hell became his own in the blink of a night...treachery had done what thousands of years of wars could not. And the Cernunnos Clan had fallen. None, however, had suffered more than his sister... ...What became of Morrighan before her death remains the subject of much mystery. They say that Belzaboul and the Generals of the Prince of Darkness's armies had their way with her once she had been defeated and subdued...tearing away her pride as they had torn away the walls of their home...her children were murdered, flayed, given as offerings to the King of Demons...and in the end, she too was killed. ... Hearing the stories, a great rage was born in the heart of young Obelyn...venom clogging his veins, stinging his heart...and an unquenchable thirst for justice against not just those who had killed his sister...but those who had betrayed her, those who had conspired to bring such a horrible fate upon her. Hel, Belzaboul, Belphegor...Loki...and even the Great Darkness himself...every one of them had to die. Every one of them had to confess their sins and be killed at the end of his spear for the great evil they had committed against the Cernunnos Clan. He would have to wait a long time...hundreds of years...maybe a thousand...and he would have to choose his moment carefully, a moment when the uneasy 'truce' between the Trickster and the Fallen Angel fell apart...before he struck. ... Deadly patience...that was what was required if he was to ever have his revenge...to bring justice upon the killers of his sister and his family. He would show them, kill them...they would see that they should have snuffed out the entire Cernunnos Family if they would dare to tread upon them! They would feel the venom of the Red Viper...and only then would he allow them the grace of death. ::Serph the Silver Fox, Ex-General of Embryon:: [Former Lord General of Embryon] Quote: Gaia Avatar: [Mods will do this.] Gaia Name: (NPC) Quote: Name: Serph Sheffield Nicknames: Silver Fox Age: 18 Appearance: Embryon Rank: General Love Interest: ??? Personality: Calm, collected, and caring for his fellow mates in the Embryon, he is the consummate leader for a military organization. Remains quiet unless he is giving orders, he tends to think every move through before he makes it. Bio: Unlike Atma-Users who were originally drafted into the organization via Balmung or another member's recruitment, Serph Sheffield cannot remember a time when he did not work as a member of the Embryon alongside several of his old allies. It was almost as if they woke up one day and it was already a part of their lives, who they were, where they were. For them, their mission as the Iwatodai branch of the Embryon, which dates back in their memory to the more recent side of the Nyxist Cult incidents, was the only thing that seemed to matter at all, and the promise that if they were able to fulfill their duties they would one day be able to 'achieve nirvana'. Whether this was a physical gift to be given, a spiritual reward, or the thought of a literal 'nirvana' via cleaning the country of infections is unknown. After the Persona War, however, Serph's failure to recover the Anomaly did not go unnoticed by the heads of the government. As punishment, he and his crew were prepared to be shipped to Inaba in exchange for the Eastern Devil Kings to replace them in the now-quiet area. After the Emperor's death, however, the new Shogun decided to continue on with the transfer...only without the promised exchange of the DK's. Now named the new head of the Inaba Embryon Branch, Serph looks to regain his good name and perform his duties as the leader of the Embryon. Update: In September, Serph...disillusioned with the manner in which his men were being used and the lack of righteousness in the cause of the Mori (to his own mind)...abdicated his position and took an extended 'leave of absence' that really was more of a quiet resignation. Shortly thereafter he was reported 'Missing' by the Shogun's men, but no sign of him has been seen in the days since... Tohru Adachi, Former Homicide Detective Quote: Name: Tohru Adachi Nicknames: Inept Detective (formerly), Cabbage Guy, and more recently, That Son of A B*#$&. Age: 28 Appearance: Occupation: Former Homicide Detective for the Inaba Police Department Love Interest: None Personality: Often the comic relief in a situation, Adachi tends not to take things seriously and can make mistakes as a result, leading others to laugh at him. While his normal face displays slip ups and goofy mannerisms however, Adachi has another side. His lackadaisical personality is brought on by the belief that humanity wants to rid itself of pain and suffering, and his own mistakes are caused by his attempts to live a satisfied life without trying too hard. Because he also believes society forces people in their place, he believes the adult world is corrupt, which led to a much harsher personality forming; the same one shown when he murdered Saki Konishi and Mayumi Yamino. After his incarceration however, he's come to respect the younger generation a bit more, and while viewing people like Soji as rivals, he can also be unusually friendly to Yasogami students and others, as well. Bio: Adachi grew up in an unknown city in Tokyo, where he apparently enjoyed his younger years as a child and then as a student. After graduating however, the rough reality of society caused the weak-willed Adachi to form a bad opinion of humanity, and he joined the police force almost only to fulfill his requirement of having a job; the deciding factor for becoming a Police Detective was only the ability to carry a gun. Because he believed it was impossible for most people to change their status in life, no matter how hard he tried, his effort at work was less than exemplary and he was eventually sent to the countryside town of Inaba due to his lack of motivation. This transfer only served to depress Adachi, seeing it more proof of his 'established place in society', and it was with this regretful and empty life that he stopped at a gas station just at the edge of town, where Chekhov's Gas Station Attendant paved the way for a more sinister future with nothing but a handshake.
After his transfer Adachi became Ryotaro Dojima's partner, while in his free time a nightmare followed by the ominous voices of the TV World lead him to discover his power, though he never ventured inside the world. Although he tested the ability to put things into the TV World, Adachi remained innocent for a time and discovered interest in life again, believing this was a sign he could be one of the few to change his position in the world. During this time a scandal between a well known actor, Mayumi Yamino, and government official Nametame caused both to come to the sleepy little town. Put in charge of security, Adachi quickly abused his authority to have a private room with Mayumi Yamino, where he made advances on her. In a fit of rage when she rejected him, Adachi accidentally shoved the woman straight into the television, and his power caused her to be lost to the Mayonaka Television World. Overcome first with shock, then remorse, then rage, Adachi at last convinced himself that she had been nothing more than a gold digger, and that he was removing trash from the world. When her body was discovered the following morning, he was put in charge of the investigation and when Saki Konishi too showed a flippant personality, his warped belief caused him to think she was the same as Mayumi Yamino, and she soon suffered the same fate.
For the next year he toyed with a number of students, people, and the resigned Nametame as he manipulated the last into believing he was 'saving' people, all the time causing the case to stay at a grinding halt until it could be swept under the rug in the future. Thanks to the intervention of another of Izanagi's candidates Soji Seta, however, Adachi and Nametame's victims began to return alive and unharmed, and in time the clues he'd left behind led the investigators straight to the Assistant Chief of Police, Tohru Adachi, Ryotaro's one and only partner. Cornered and realizing that he was about to be punished for the murders he'd committed, Adachi at last grasped the will to enter the television, seeking salvation in the power he'd gained. What he found beyond was more than he could have possibly imagined, a world manipulated by the mind, where freedom was rampant as long as you could have power. He quickly came to believe Shadows, the repressed side of humanity, were the answer he'd sought to humanity's battle against pain and that by awakening his power in others, anyone could become free of the shackles that bound them to their role in life.
It was during this time that his wishful desires, his corrupt and open hearted yearnings allowed him to come under the influence of Amino Sagiri, and when he was found by the Investigation Team he had already been possessed to the point that his wish to awaken Personas or Shadows in people, had been altered into a desire to cover the world in fog. Partially of his own will and desire not to be caught, and partially under the great Shadow's influence, he battled the Investigation Team and was defeated. When Amino Sagiri was defeated his mind was cleared, and both with the realization that his crimes had caught up to him, and that what he wanted to use the TV World for would doom humanity instead of help it as he wanted, Adachi turned himself in and confessed to his crimes, seeking repentance. Dojima made sure that he received the best treatment he could, but after all he'd done, Adachi was aware of what punishment he'd suffer. His last act was to send a letter to Soji Seta, his rival in power, to let him know Adachi suspected they were both being manipulated, and with this Soji Seta was able to finally set out on his path to the truth, and the final confrontation with Izanami.
Recently, in prison he was confronted with what he would do with his power, how he had used it in the final battle, and whether his actions were truly evil or not. His ability to fuse with his own Shadow was unprecedented, but it came with his acceptance that society was unsalvageable, and that desire was neither strengthened or removed after his defeat. When freed by Hetero, who suspected he would continue down his path to spread the fog again, and who also knew about his knowledge of Shadow fusion, Adachi reached the point where he could seek penitence, though rather than worrying about the coming fog or defeating his rescuer to protect the world, Adachi's skeptical idea of society leans towards letting the others duke it out; and his desire to change his own fate lead him to break out of prison to battle both Soji, and Hetero, as his rivals in order to strengthen his power and reach new levels. Not only does Adachi have the same power of the Fool like Soji, he's been shown to be just as talented if not more so in using it, and only Soji's expertise in all other areas, as well as his reliance on his friends makes Adachi the underdog in their battles. While Soji understands the heart of Personas, and grows with his social links to his friends, Adachi knows the power of Shadows giving him a view of both the Black and White sides of it, like a coin, and although some would mistakenly think this meant his allegiance could shift to their side, Soji Seta would be the first to tell you all it means is that Adachi is twice as dangerous, and sees that many others to experiment with in order to make himself more powerful. Quote: Mayonaka TV World DataWeapon: Standard Issue Police Handgun Fighting Style: Perfectly Balanced Arcana: Fool Persona Name: Magatsu IzanagiShadow: Adachi's Shadow looks like himself, and acts harmoniously with himself. By posing as one another, Adachi even managed to taunt the Investigation Team throughout the Television World, while actually remaining in the depths of Magatsu Inaba. ::The Mediator:: Quote: Gaia Avatar: [Mods will do this.] Gaia Name: Arena Emperor Quote: Name: Abdiel Nicknames: Abi, Diel (he uses the first two as gaming handles, and nicknames humans might call him), Servant of God, the Mediator Age: Unknown Appearance: WingsLove Interest: None Personality: Calm and cool on the surface, he is the 'business' half of his angelic partnership. He is devout in his devotion to his duty and while he is more aware of humanity's faults than most of the Heavenly Host, he is among the quickest to forgive them. He can be seen at all times carrying an umbrella and openly detests the rain or fresh water of any sort. He also is on the phone an inordinate amount of time with an unknown source within the heavens. In his free time, he has a secret love of arcades, games, and other mortal creations. Often he is late to intervene in situations because he is distracted by such. He is currently the undefeated master of Tekken 2... Bio: In eons past, long before he became a mediator to humanity, he existed as one of the true Generals of the Heavenly Host...an angel of incredible strength and stature, who abandoned Lucifer's cause upon his turning on God, whose contributions to the war against the Fallen Angel's legions were many and great (it was said that during the battle he lead the Heavenly Host into the fray and defeated Lucifer himself with a mighty spear). Amongst the angels he was a hero, and when the Pale Legion began to form countless eons later, seeking to further expunge Lucifer and his traitorous influence from the world, he became one of the first angels to take up the Pale Arms despite the more tempered approach favored by those closest to God. As a commander of the Pale Legion he was ruthless and efficient, not only slaughtering the devils and the agents who followed Lucifer, but all whom he felt besmirched the purity of that which was created by the Lord. Each soul that he claimed through victory he drowned beneath the surface of a shimmering lake, what he deemed a fitting punishment for their crimes against God. His victories and the adoration of the angels which followed him had filled him with hubris, and blind he became to his own sins...until the members of the Pale Legion began to see in him the beginnings of a new evil to rival the Fallen Angel, his vanity and cruelty growing, and in fear of what he would become and make of their militant sect of the Host, betrayed him. Casting Abdiel upon the judgment of God, the angel's pride left him...and he saw for the first time that he had been wrong. But to repent was not enough, and for his sins he found himself bound by chains that would not bend, placed at the dry bottom of the lake that he had used to imprison so many damned souls. And day-by-day, above the dried-out lake, it began to rain... After the first day the rain had risen to his ankles...after the second day it has risen around his knees...on the third day it was to his waist, and on the fourth it had climbed as high as his shoulders... By the fifth day the water was over his head and he could no longer breathe, drowning beneath the surface...but as an immortal he could not truly die, so he revived again...and died again...and the water still rose until the pressure had become so great that his body was crushed to the muddy dirt beneath him. For countless eons he remained imprisoned within the lake as it ever-rained, and for each soul he had condemned he died another death...until, at long last, his sentence expired. Pulled from his prison and unbound from his chains, all of the seeds of hubris inside of him seemed to be washed away. Swearing himself wholeheartedly unto God and declaring his repentance for all of his prior sins, he set himself upon the mercy of the Lord...and was allowed, finally, back into the fold of God's angels. ...For all his power, however, he was not permitted to rejoin the Legion, nor did he wish to do so. His became a mission of temperance, his reluctance to use force becoming a defining trait, and instead he developed his tongue to negotiate and speak with humans, using force only when necessary. Paired together with a mid-level angel and sent to Earth, it is currently his duty simply to keep an eye on her and not allow her to say too much or intervene too heavily, and step in wherever warranted with the permission of those who rank above him. And even now, in the absence of his creator's voice, he does his work with a business-like diligence. But to this day he continues to remember his sins, and his punishment...a toll that will never escape him, unto the ending of the world. Abdiel is a [Divine]-class demon of the Light-Law alignment. Quote: Ability DataArcana: Death God's Answer-Abdiel's spear, which was once used to strike the first blow against Lucifer and his Hellish Host, gathers an immense Almighty power at its tip once summoned into its wielder's hand and is used to deliver a Piercing strike at lightning speeds to any enemy. With this spear-thrust alone and an impossibly powerful form, even in human-form, he is a combatant equal to even the mightiest of foes. Elemental Affinities:Drain: Dark, Light Weak: Water Quote: Items Owned::-Abdiel's Spear: All thrusts Pierce [Weapon Equip] -Umbrella: Guard against Water attacks [Armor Equip] -Cell Phone: Contacts divine forces and may receive permission to unveil wings, removing all power limiters and increasing Angelic power to highest form.
