Nyota was walking peacefully up to a baobab tree, her thoughts undisturbed, it was hot out but also another amazing day to be out and about. She stood in the shade for a minute before lying down and letting herself daydream.
"ah, how nice it is to relax in the shade"
she smiled at her thoughts and slowly started to nod off, but shook herself awake, seeing as she was a bit hungry and wanted to spot any prey nearby she could easily much on.
Before long, a klipspringer appeared from the grass. they held a stare at each other, and Nyota made no predatory move towards it, seeing as she was nicer to the gentler creatures like waterbucks and klipsringers. It bounded off to have its days adventure, and Nyota started to daydream once more.

 Zenobia had gone for a walk, with the faint intention of perhaps having a hunt. Or perhaps just spot a good possiblilty. She could get Athena to come hunt with her or send a couple of his kids out to do the hunting. If she didn't find anything, she could at least enjoy the walk. Sometimes the crush of so many was a bit much. She'd left her growing cubs in the care of the fluffy lion.
The pale lioness wandered on until a bright glimmer of color caught her eye. There wasn't anything naturally orange out here that she knew of. It was worth a look anyhow. She trotted over until the orange blob resolved into a lioness. Zeno grinned and called out.
"Hallo there. Do you mind some company?"

Nyota looked up at the white lioness with her grey butterfly like markings.
"i would. My names Nyota, and you?"
she stood up, bowed her head after introducing herself, and lied back down. she thought she smelt another creature nearby, but it was still to far away to think about what he or she was, and now it was a lioness,who wanted to keep her company.
"yay company!"
she thought as she continued to close her eyes slightly in bliss of the big blob of shade

Her offer was immediantly accepted, and Zenobia was grateful she didn't want to be alone. Instead of answering right away, she walked closer until she could find a spot to lay not far from the other lioness.
"Greetings Nyota. I'm Zenobia." She bobbed her head at the introductions. "Rather nice weather today isnt' it? Have you done anything interesting?" Her red eyes watched the orange lioness gently. Nyota appeared very relaxed and content.

"no i havent yet, im mostly just a hunter. And it is a beautiful da out yet again. The gods have been good to us today"
She chuckled at this and her stomach growled, begging for food, even a mouse.
"Are you hungry? Im starting to get hungry, if you heard"
Nyota put her nose to the ground and smelt a larger mouse nearby, so she got up, and the hunt began. She forgot about Zenobia for a minute while she saw two, she remembered her offer of food. She got one under her paw,and one in her mouth, it was an easier kill. She brought them back to the tree, and put them down so Zeno could take one if she wanted

"Nothing wrong with hunting on a day like today." She grinned. They had sort of been out for the same thing. Zeno gave a chuckle as a growl came from the orange lioness answered by one from Zeno's stomach. Before she could answer Nyota was already off. Politely the pale lioness waited quietly. She wouldn't interupt the other's hunt.
To her suprise the orange lioness came back with two mice. "Thank you!" She said gratefully and picked the smaller one. Nyota was probably hungrier than she was at the moment. A mouse didn't take long to eat, but Zenobia took her time. She savored the taste of fresh mouse. Who thought they'd be so good! Then the sense of the tiny bones crunching in her teeth. She would definately train her juvs to hunt on mice. After she finished, she laid there with her eyes mostly closed purring.
"That was an excellent hunt Nyota. You are very good at it."

Nyota finished off the last of her mouse and swallowed before answering.
"thanks, it what i spend most of my time doing, and your welcome!"
She smiled at her and closed her eyes in the peaceful shade. Her stomach had settled now and she was already having one of those really good days.
"So, where are you from?"
Nyota felt like asking because she was sort of on the hunt for a pride, so what was the harm in asking where everyone come from. Nyota opened her eyes, and when she looked around, a graceful female waterbuck appeared. It didnt see her, but she wasnt hungry anymore, and she didnt like killing the poor things. so she watched it happily bound away, she always thought they were so beautiful.

"It is a good skill you have." Zenobia nodded. She rarely went after anything small, but when she usually hunted it was for a large group. Small prey like mice just wouldn't suit the effort. Perhaps next time she was out alone and needed a snack she'd take note of the smaller prey around.
"No where really. Never could settle down. I travel with a group though we're not really a pride. We roam when we want, or settle temporalily when someone has cubs. It's nice to come and go as we please. Yourself?"
Zeno idally noticed the waterbuck, but didn't bother getting up. Nyota had just hunted and it would be rude of her to jump up and chase it. The pale female slowly licked her paws clean.

"im alone, i travel here and there, but i have a place to call home, and thank you, its what kept me alive, i have no male, nor do i want one, maybe once i settle into a pride?"
She never knew when this would happen, if it happened at all. Mating was a weird subject she never spoke about often, most guys she met just ended up as friends that she hunted with.
"travelling then settling when someone has cubs actually doesnt sound to bad, but isnt it hard to get moving again with more in the travel pride?"
she wondered.

"Being alone is hard," the pale lioness spoke from experience. "It's good you have a place to call your own." Zeno considered her no male desire, so much like her own. "I never wanted to settle down with a sole male either. What do you plan to do if you want cubs?" Some lions never felt the desire to have offspring, she knew.
She nodded. The life suited her well. Zeno grinned at the question. "No, not really. I think it's because we are all wanderers at heart, so the desire to move on comes over all of us eventually."

She thought about her question. She always did want to be around her own children sometimes, it would make her less lonely, but prie first, the cubs. that was her plan, and she was sticking to it.
"well, cubs i have always really liked, im not too sure why, but pride first, then cubs, i dont want a father running off when they are his responsibility too, then i would have to hunt and they wouldnt be safe, it would worry me sick, and if someone ran off with them..."
she was surprised about her small speech about cubs, she never knew she had a bit of a want for her own cubs before then. It wouldnt bother her though, she was easily occupied.

She walked beside the orange lioness enjoying the scenery and conversation. Zeno gave a knowing grin as she talked about the male. "Then I hope you find a pride and male to your liking." With that, there seemed to be nothing else to say on the subject; so instead, she pointed out something she'd spotted ahead. They would have a fine time together then part their separate ways.

she was sad to have Zeno leave, but the day was almost over, and it was getting colder and darker out.
"my den is just northeast of here. Come by anytime if you feel the need"
she thought she might say this, as she seemed nice, not at all like a thief. She really liked Zeno, she had good feelings about her, and wanted to be with her more, but perhaps they would meet again, remember each other and share what happened in the past.
