Sayoko felt badly for taking up his sleeping space but before she could utter a word about him staying in the cave with her and Akira, she had fallen fast asleep. As soon as the bear had followed her into the cozy little place, he curled up against her immediately once she laid down. After that it was a faded memory because she had been escorted off to somewhere she was unfamiliar with. Sayoko was dreaming about a place full of lovely treasures for as long as the eye could see, she was almost tempted to run and grab the first thing she saw that seemed to be irreplaceable. However she did hold back, and her gaze seemed to travel around and as it did, she realized that she was alone. Akira and Meso was no where in sight, her heart seemed to start to beat strangely, she was beginning to go into a panic.

A dark being appeared from out of the forest behind her,she felt a heavy pressure fill the air around her and it startled her. She quickly turned around ready to fight what ever was threatening her. Her soft green eyes went wide with shock and confusion because the being somehow seemed familiar. Slowly the being opened its eyes and she found herself intrigued that they were of a dark red color, almost like a ruby red. Her ears laid back though and she went on alert when the being stalked towards her as if she was some sort of prey. "No!" She screamed at the being and turned away from him and raced through the field of treasure. Sayoko wanted to find the treasure that she could give to Meso, he had given her something so precious, she wanted to return the favor and the meaning. With a little glance behind her, she noticed that the being wasn't behind her anymore but when she turned her head back in front of her she had to stop dead in her tracks. The dark being was standing in front of her and almost glaring at her. Sayoko shut her eyes and wished it would all go away but when she opened them the figure remained.

"What do you want?" She asked the being with a returned glare, she backed up a little bit though because she didn't want it charging her. The being didn't say a word for a while and then it finally spoke. "Your treasure." With the two words out of its mouth, it charged at her and engulfed her in darkness. Her eyes shot open and they looked around the darkness of the cave, her heart starting to beat strangely again thinking that it had became real until they found Meso sleeping at the entrance of the cave. A sigh of relief escaped from her and she shut her eyes for a moment just to give herself time to relax. It seemed her dreams were getting more stranger by the night. She wondered if it had to do with her becoming more obsessive with obtaining treasures. She shook the thought from her head and stood carefully trying not to wake Akira.

Sayoko tried to carefully and quietly wander over to Meso at the entrance of the cave. She was almost certain that he had to be rather chilly, it was not nearly as warm outside as it was inside the cave. The thought occurred to her to try and wake him to invite him inside with her but she thought against it. Instead she decided to lay with him outside under the stars and sleep there with him, being cold was never good for you. She got as close to him as she could without bumping into him and risking waking him and then she leaned against him. The thought occurred to her to even nuzzle him, her breath might even help get him warm. She smiled to herself because she wasn't just doing it to get him warm. She wanted to be close to him and wanted to feel his warmth, his body against hers again. It felt incredible the first time that she was close to him, she had missed it since she had stepped away. With the thoughts swirling in her mind, she laid her head against him softly and allowed her warm breath to brush against his skin as she felt herself drift off to sleep again.

She seemed to move eagerly, Meso was eager as well. They were both exhausted and required a space to sleep, fortunately he knew the area like the back of his hoof and lead them immediately to a small, but warm cave that would keep the dampness of the morning from Sayoko.

Once there they separated, she slept in the cave with Akira while he remained at the entrance, a perfect sight of a guard, large and alert. Though this lasted only briefly and he too soon drifted off to sleep. When the darkness took over he was relaxed, dreams nor nightmares came often and when they did it was the same thing again and again..

Hooves clattering against a rough stone surface, loud noises a rustling then his basket, the cozy safe place her was first placed was taken. The ground left him soon after that, he had imagined at that moment that the wings he possessed were helping to fly already! What he didn't know was that he was removed, terribly, from his parents grasp.

Memories danced beneath his eyes and just as it reached the phase where new faces could be seen he was awakened.

Upon awakening he was pleasantly surprised, though he himself was not so usually comfortable with the idea of having anyone so close to him he felt almost empowered by the mares trust and faith. A smile grew on his lips, she hadn't been there long before falling asleep it seemed, though the heat grew between them and he was certainly grateful for that. For a brief period he admired her sleeping form, before let his head rest on top of hers and taking advantage of the moments to get a few more relaxing winks before the sun truly rose and beckoned them to begin their adventure.

Sayoko was only a little aware of the pressure that rested on her head as she slept. Within no time at all, the sun was shining and burning bright, the rays gracing them with their warmth. Her soft green eyes blinked open slowly, they needed to adjust to the light before she looked around. Once she was fully awake, she realized that at some point, Meso had rested his head on hers. It really warmed her heart to know that he had wanted to get closer to her. "Meso.."She spoke the words softly, she didn't know if he was awake yet or not and didn't really want to risk moving only to have his head fall off hers to become injured somehow. "Meso..are you awake?" She decided it was best to ask the most obvious question in the world. Her eyes traveled to the mouth of the cave and she noticed that her familiar was still fast asleep. The sun was burning away the last of the chill from the evening and it was warming her more and more. She was starting to let her mind wander about if Meso perhaps got a little to warm during the night. But if that was the case, why was it that he put his head on her; thoughts turned over and over in her mind as her eyes gazed out on the landscape.

I'm so sorry that is has taken so long and that it is rather short.

A yawn brought Meso to pull his head from Sayoko as she began mumbling away at him about being awake. "I am now." He said, grumpily at first, before clearing his head. Mornings, how he dreaded them, the only peace he received during this time was that Sayoko was there, he was beginning to believe that because she was there he had not had a nightmare again.

He could still hear those hooves, clattering and taking him far away from his once upon a time home.

The pain and fear faded as he felt the pressure of Sayoko move against him again, and the suns warmth did it's part aswell. "Did you sleep well?" He asked, and began standing without considering whatever repercussion, or effects it could have on Sayoko, whom was leaning against him. He was not used to anyone's company let alone having someone lean on him.

"Some of the night took it's toll, but then you came along.." He muttered softly, a blush draping over her pale colored muzzle.

Sayoko was just about to answer him when he moved away from her and before she could react, she fell onto the ground. Laughter came from within her and bubbled out, she couldn't help it, there was nothing to be upset or angry over. "I slept well." She finally managed to say once the laughter subsided and he surprised her with the words he uttered. Somehow she found herself feeling warm inside and it made her smile. "I'm glad I came along even though you tried to run me off." She decided that it was best to tease him and have just a little bit of fun. Slowly standing and stretching, she glanced back behind her and noticed that he was still sleeping. Akira could sleep his life away with how many hours of sleep the little bear did, she was always amazed that he could stay in sync with her without falling asleep when they did travel all day. "I wonder if we should wake him now or let him sleep a while longer." She glanced back to Meso and wondered just what he would prefer, they couldn't really go too far because Akira would have a fit and probably maybe even panic.
