[Soleil] was a curious cub. It was almost as though her appetite for the unknown was insatiable, but she tried anyway. This time, the bright yellow cub, the only yellow coated cub of Crue and Sabia's litter hadn't wandered too far from the den. She loved her parents dearly and minded them as any good cub would, but there were some things that would not be discovered by being a perfect angel of a cub, which she was clearly not.

The cub's brow furrowed as she concentrated, her equally yellow eyes trained intently on the beetle that scuttled before her, almost entranced by the glistening of the sun off of it's emerald back. She knew exactly what she wanted to do with this beetle, beyond eat it. She'd seen them scuttle around and though they did not look like she or her siblings, they were still alive. She wanted to know what made it tick. Hell, she wanted to know what made lions tick, but she couldn't exactly kill a lion. Not now, anyway. Maybe she'd get the opportunity to do a little explorative maiming in the future. For now, a beetle was her only choice in prey. That was fine with her, though. The curious cub launched herself in what was really a rather poor attempt at hunting, but she was still only a chubby, stubby, inexperienced cub. What did matter was the angry, buzzing beetle was cupped between her paws.

"Gotcha!"

The first thing it lost was it's wings.

[Sabia`Deimos] had become a slowly developing political lioness whom was quiet and certainly a danger in the stealth of ways. Her seduction rituals on Crue remained and her Mothering became her near sole purpose. These cubs would become the words of their future, she wanted those words to favor the many and hurt the majority. Cruelty reined supreme in her methods and more often than not she found herself casting proud glances when her cubs showed the production and strength and more. Today was one of those days as she began to witness curiosity sprout in the sun ray golden cub. Soleil began showing her curious side in early stages and it only developed further.

She stepped closer to the little ball of fur and smiled in an amused manner. The beetle had certainly met it's match and she was particularly happy when Soleil fiddled with claws and paws to remove that creatures wings. Learning was a priority, no matter the costs, though in their terms, this was a small cost, death was nothing. "What have you found m'dear?" She purred tenderly, giving her daughter some space to work.

"A beetle, mamma." Her mother's purr delighted her and only spurred her on in her work. She liked to make her mother proud and happy. That purr didn't only indicate that she had permission to do what she did, that maiming the creature was perfectly normal, but also that it was something to be proud of. She bit her lip with concentration as she pried the beetle's shell, which protected those wings, from it's body. She wondered if a beetle could make noise. What if it was making noise, but it's voice was too small for her to hear? Did the other bugs in the vicinity hear tiny bug screams? She wanted to know, but her little, round ears couldn't detect a thing.

She blew the wing casings away, as well as the little, iridescent wings that she also removed. It bit her at one point, or stung, but she didn't seem to care. She merely shifted her position and was more careful in holding the little thing down with her claws. It was funny when it ripped it's own rear leg off in a desperate bid for freedom.

"Mamma," she tilted her head back slightly to see the female lion she adored, yet was more than careful to make sure she had a firm grip on her prey, "do beetles make noise like we do?"

Noira was usually around Sabia these days. She doted on the Queen, though she really didn't have much in the way of loyalties. She would turn on Sabia if the situation presented itself, but it would have to be given to her on a silver platter. She didn't like doing any hard work, which meant that Sabia was safe, and Noira was merely intent on just living.

She didn't mind the cubs. Much. They were a bunch of little vipers, and she was proud that they were the future generation. But she knew that when she had cubs, they would be as well respected as the little princesses and princes. She wasn't sure how. But she knew it was going to happen.

"I've never heard a beetle make any noise." She responded as she approached, in a matter-of-fact sort of way.

Sabia`deimos gave a small nod of attention to her Lady, it was known to her what Noira was like. Easy to read in that sense, but she knew how it went most times. Gotta do what you gotta do to get ahead, it's how they came to be as the pride they were now.

"Well, Soleil, I believe, like some other insects they make very, very small noises." She said, watching the actions made by the cub with a continuous pride. Noira's response was way to matter of fact for Sabia though and she imagined it would simply ruin the pleasure found by her little daughter.

"Like many other creatures in our world, I'm sure the beetle screams for help and life, screams for another bug to save it." Sabia let her tone slip into a sinister state and quickly climb back out. "But, you won't let anyone save it.... will you m'dear?" A playfully wicked grin played at her lips.

---

[Abbadon] made his way out of the nearby cave and stretched casually, of the triplets he seemed to be the most quiet and remained that way as he wandered to the group. He spotted a sister, his Mother and Noira, all familiar faces.

"Hello.." He said. Abbadon almost muttered it and began looking around. His sister was doing something interesting, there had to be something of equal interest or more around.

So his search began.

Noira frowned, rolling her eyes at the response of Sabia. The black and red lioness had always thought that she was far too soft on her cubs. Coddling them and teaching them lies was no way to raise a strong cub. Though Noira had never raised cubs, so her inexperience was obvious.

"Not everything works with sounds. Though I imagine if you could see it's face, it would probably be a sheer look of terror, Soleil. So even if it didn't scream, it would still be as terrified as you want it."

Noira lay on her belly, her tail flicking idly around her haunches. She raised her paw, looking at it as she unsheathed her claws. She examined them, boredly, as she tried to keep from saying anything that would upset the Queen. Then her eyes were attuned to the little green cub.

"Good evening, Abbadon." She said, bowing her head to the little prince. Though she hated that he carried such a proud title when she did not. Little whelp.

The black and white male was usually a loner. He liked to calculate things and learn how they worked. Almost like Soleil though he didn't care if the bug screamed. Only that he knew the bug was feeling every single thing he did. He preferred larger prey though, and noted that he would have to go see the god that father had taken in at some point.

Maybe using claw on another lion figure, if you could even call the mutation of a lion that, would be more interesting than ripping the wings off of a beetle. He was followed closely by Diablo, who Crue had given direct orders to. He was to protect the little Crowley cub, even if it meant he would be killed. Diablo was to keep the cub safe, so he could grow and actually inherit the lands his father had taken.

Diablo didn't mind. Crowley was quiet, and he tended to keep to himself. But he had a dark, interesting mind. So when he spoke, Diablo was alright witrh it.

Soleil wasn't too pleased with Noira's answer to her question... But her mother quickly intervened and a small smile spread across the young cub's muzzle. It was much more entertaining to imagine the little beetle screaming and the other bugs in the vicinity quaking in their little holes. That was much more satisfying and, as if to make a point, she picked away at it's legs again with her claws, tail swishing as she slowly dismantled the unfortunate insect.

"Why would I let it go, mamma? Or anyone save it? I'm no done playing with it, yet. If it wanted to get away, it shoulda been stronger." She stated this in a matter of fact tone, but her golden eyes were trained on the struggling thing that still hadn't quite given up, despite having few legs left. Part of the cub wanted to see just how long the bug would continue to struggle and bite. She had the same twisted curiosity that all young creatures had, only her curiosity was being nurtured.

Her rounded ears perked as two of her siblings came nearer and she brightened, particularly happy to see Crowley. She looked up to her brother and always had. Mother and father picked him as the heir for a reason, after all.

"Hi, Abbadon! Crowley!"

Noira wondered about the little yellow cub, she wondered about her quite often. She was odd, almost mechanical about things. It was a very.. nervous thing when it came to her. She was unable to be read, and Noira wondered if she was an evil little thing, or if she really was just mechanical with the way she was.

But she decided to let the voice of the cub roll off her back. She found she was easily irritated when it came to Sabia's little monsters. They were wicked creatures, and so vain. Especially the Crowley one. She really hated him. He had power he didn't deserve.

Crowley glanced up, looking at his yellow sister with a smirk. It wasn't a friendly smirk but he offered it just the same. Rarely anything Crowley did was friendly. Actually.. He couldn't remember the last time he had been friendly. He did things that benefited him. He made deals with others, and easily manipulated them out of their claims. He was a master manipulater, and he liked using it against Soleil. Though he often times wondered if she could see through him. He knew her secret. He knew what she saw.

"Hello, sister." He said, voice deep and dark. He may have been a cub, but he was.. strange. As if possessed by a creature much older than he.

Whether she knew he was manipulating her or not, she still loved her brother. In fact, the sad part was she probably did know, but she gave herself over to him as a loyal, loving sibling. There were others in their brood she did not fully trust, her gut told her not to, but to him she was faithful and always would be. She was a willing pawn in his game and though his smirk was not a friendly one, she liked to think it was. She liked to think he cared about her well being.

"'Cha doin?"

She'd abandoned the bugs, her mood to rip and destroy gone after Noira's disappointing answer to her question, even with her mother's intervention. She'd go back to learning and experimenting on her own, when Noira wasn't around. Maybe if she pestered her mother enough, they'd bring back something alive for her to play with, later.
