Khuluma had landed, tired and worn from floating on an updraft and landed when he spotted a clearing. The trees were growing thick here, and it was taking him longer between flights to find spots to land. In the clearing, he landed, yawned, and turned to find some shade. The landscape was interesting, and he had been passing through various territories that gave him time to explore, wander, and become distracted. Distractions were what he lived for, but even he was finding the seclusion and trouble of finding anything to talk to more and more difficult. Talking was his meat, words his water, and he was starved and thirsty the past few days.

Settling under the shade of a few trees, he stretched out and started to clean his coat.

The male walked first, not leading the way, but being the body guard that he was. Crue was tough, strong and brave. Diablo had little doubt that he could take on anything thrown at him. But better safe than sorry. The pride had been taken so brutally, that he wasn't sure that Crue wouldn't be the target of an act of vengeance.

They had ventured not far outside the depths of the forest. Diablo wasn't sure of Crue's intentions, and he had learned quickly not to question them.

"Where to now, sire?" He asked, his golden orbs flickering to the black and red male behind him.

Crue was positive he was the only one who had seen it. He had been in his den, a little higher than the trees that protected the pride. The den of a King and Queen.. and how appropriate he had spotted something fairly interesting while he had been resting. He wasn't sure what it was, he had never seen anything like it. But he wanted to know, and he had called up Diablo and set out to track it.

Now that the trees were behind them, and they had stepped into the clearing, Crue's own golden eyes were staring intently at the sky. He was glad Diablo asked nothing. He wouldn't have told him anything anyway.. but he was glad he didn't have to command the brute to quiet himself.

"Tell me, Diablo. Does your nose scent anything.. odd?" He asked, and that was when Crue's eyes landed on a shape. A bright shape, but a shape nonetheless.

"Ah, yes." Crue grinned, and waved Diablo to follow.

As a god, Khluma did not eat. There was no need, and he didn't think he could ever bring himself to kill for sport. After living with Palahala, the God of Prey, he spent a part of his adolescence living in a prey herd. This meant many things. Khuluma had a terrible sense of figuring out what he was smelling, and only used his claws for grooming his hair or getting a firm grip on trees when taking off. They were, to him, tools. Weapons to a god seemed silly, as was any idea of danger. While he had been told that he could be killed, he was now an adult and an adult God at that. Nothing had destroyed him or even threatened him other than another god, and he didn't feel the tinge of any such being.

At ease, he cleaned his paw and then turned a wing to his face to lick at the feathers, biting into the soft feathers to pull out any loose feathers or irritants. After that, he would find a nice tree to rest in, but for now he was devoted to making his ruffled fur and feathers look pristine once more.

The closer Crue stalked, the more he knew this was the great creature he had seen soaring through the sky. Had to be, for the creature was of the same color and form. A lion, with wings so fluffy they looked as if he had plucked them from some great bird, and plunked them against himself.

Crue's curiousity, and bloodlust, was instantly piqued. He had never seen anything like this before, and that was enough to drive him to wanting to know what it felt like to sink claw into it. But that could wait. He had a lot of things to ask the creature first.

One look at Diablo, and the other male nodded his head. Diablo wasn't the smartest of lions, but he wasn't stupid. He knew what Crue was wanting, though he wasn't sure he wanted to get next to something like what he was looking at. It had to have been an abomination. What the hell was it?

"Well well. I've never seen anything like you around here." Crue said from behind the figure who was now grooming his wings. He stalked forward, getting in front of him and Diablo followed from the other side.

"What the devil are you?" He asked, his voice more curious than vicious.. For the moment. Though there was that tinge of .. something behind his tone.

He didn't hear the others approach until they started to speak, and having anything suddenly appear before you had him on high alert. Heart in his throat and wings out, what fur he had just groomed was now ruffled as he looked about. Mortals! One... Oh dear there were two of them! Khuluma turned, tucking in his tail as he saw the other circle behind him, and was left turning about, looking at both of them and having a hard time keeping them both in his sights.

Curious. As most mortals were, and he tried to breath slowly again from his small scare. Any mortal he ever met simply wanted to ask questions and talk, and he could go for a chat before resting tonight. However, unlike the perky lions and little cubs he had met, these two males were large, muscular, and moved around him in a cycle that made him nervous.

At the question, he glanced at his wings which he slowly folded to his sides. There was no point faking a mortal at this point, but if they were curious, then what was the point of hiding who he was. "I'm a god." He told them, still turning as he watched them both. "Talking in circles isn't good in speech and in moving." This turning about was making him a tad dizzy. "And who might you two be?"

Crue heard the male's words, and he grinned deviantly. A god? He had found a god? The spirits that existed were smiling on him. He didn't believe in religion, or gods, but seeing one before him? That was a bit hard to deny. But who else would believe he had found a god? Diablo certainly wasn't very trustworthy.. and few would believe him. Nor would Crue be the type to try convincing someone of the merit of his story by using Diablo.

Diablo was quiet, though he used his size to intimidate. He knew the talking was Crue's game. Diablo just liked the fight, and he was really hoping there was going to be one. He liked a little rough and tumble. Though he would have to tell himself he couldn't kill this one. He had a feeling that Crue had other ideas in mind. Though he wished he would indulge him and just.. tell him of a few of them.

"Tell me." Crue began, stepping forward, closing the distance between them. Diablo followed, both almost trying to herd the male to the trees that weren't too far behind them.

"If you want to talk, how about we get out of the open, eh? I'm not looking to have to fight with some hyena because he doesn't like my look." Crue said, and managed to sound genuine. However, he was far from genuine in this moment.

There was something to be said about the benefits of having parents. The best being is that they warned you about dangerous situations. Growing up alone, Khuluma had no such reminders popping to mind other than a sense of unease. One he was sure would go away once they all sat down and settled into a good conversation. Mortals always wanted to talk to him, and he was feeling a bit chatty today. The feelings he felt he chalked up to them being fairly large lions and not to much else.

Looking about, he smiled at the idea of a hyena attacking them. "Oh, I forget you have to worry about such dangerous creatures roaming around. I wouldn't want you two to get into a fight. Yes, we can find some nice shade and talk for a while." Still, that feeling was not letting go, and he decided he'd lick any hairs standing up when they went to sit down and talk.

Turning, he followed along with the two lions away from the clearing and the open sky into the dark woods and the thick canopy.

This time Crue lead the way, leading the prey to the trap.
Diablo walked behind him, closing off the god's means of escape though he managed to make it look like he was just slower than the other two. Perhaps it was because he was as large as he was. He easily was bigger than the god in front of him. He almost thought it was rather sad that such a big term for a creature, could really be used for such a small lion.. er.. God.

It didn't take long for them to get into the woodlands, back into their known territory. They were more familiar with these lands, and the trees would block the god's chances of escaping. Crue hoped he could pull this off, though he didn't really doubt himself. He was just had his moments of being a realist now and again.

"So," Crue began without turning to look at the yellow god that was following him. He was sure that he had him now..

"I was thinking about it. And I don't quite think I'm in a talking mood." He finished, this time turning to cast his gaze to Diablo. Diablo perked, smiling and nodding.

"I was thinking the same." Diablo said, and grinned almost as deviantly as Crue was managing. Then Crue's eyes looked into the crystal blue ones Khuluma.

It was a rather lovely forest, thick with trees and plenty of shade, and he hoped they might stop where there was a stream nearby. While he didn't need water, it was nice to feel on his tongue and worked well against his swore wing muscles. The thought of exhausting himself with a conversation and resting were appealing, and followed by the two, he tried to feel safer in their company. Yet still...

He didn't know what it was, but something he felt was hard to shake off. They were peculiar, mortals, but he rarely talked to the bigger males. They weren't as perky as some others and certainly not as small. He wondered if he'd grow up a tad bigger even as an adult.

When the leader stopped, Khuluma did too, and frowned when he said he didn't feel much for talking. Ears back, he looked to the pair. "Well...." He didn't know what else to do, but then the other looked at him, and he stared back, and felt a deep panic. "....I should get back then...I'm very busy after all." As a god. "...I just wanted a little talk." He still hoped they could have one, but the way the other was looking at him had him looking about, only to turn when the other lion was spotted near his back.

Hunched, Khuluma turned to the side and started backing away. Something didn't feel right, and he glanced to the trees, and his wings started to spread as far as they could go.

Crue noticed the panic in his eyes. He almost anticipated the male trying to take to the sky. He was thankful now that he had tricked the god into going into the darkness. He shook his head, a growl overtaking his voice. He knew he had to act fast, as the god's wings were beginning to stretch out wide, and he was going to try to escape. That was something that Crue just could not allow.

"What's your rush?" Crue asked, before leaping at the god. He managed to grab hold of a fluffy, soft wing. Suddenly an idea formed in his head. A very, very dark idea indeed.

"Diablo! Get his other wing." He shouted, and watched as the large male leapt obeyed the command. Diablo's lunge at his wing, brought him down upon it hard once he landed. He felt the fragile bones snap, and he stood on the one wing. Crue on the other hand, was busy using his sharp talons to pull some of the longer feathers from their home. He did it roughly, seeing bits of red as some of the blood began welling up where he ripped too hard.

"We can be very persuasive. When we want to be." Crue grinned, knowing that with their weight on him, the god wasn't going anywhere.

His wings spread out wider, but even this far he could feel the tips touch the bushes and tree trunks on either side of them. The clearing was past them, a small flash of light beyond the trees above, but the lions flanked him on either side. What did they want? He couldn't give them any gifts? He had no amazing powers to offer them. His jewelry was nice, but if they wanted it, all they would need to do was ask. True, he wouldn't give it away easily, but now all he wanted to do was be back in the sky. It was small here. It was dark here. It was tight and the mortals looked back at him much in the same way he saw the God of Predators look. Would they....eat him?

His wings shot out as he saw the lion leap and Khuluma jumped back only to feel the heavy weight of the other fall upon his back. Crying out, he called to anyone who would help, roaring in vain at anyone, immortal or not, that might come to his aid. His wings jerked and flapped as they tried to take off, pinned under the heavy weight of the other, and then another pressing lion on his other wind. Their bodies crushed his wings down at terrible angles, and he felt the bones break. Then the feathers, like having his claws torn out one by one by one over and over again as he felt claws and teeth tear into the mass of flight feathers, sending bloody white feathers falling all about the ground.

"STOP! IT'S HURTS!" He cried, jerking and kicking and pressing out from under them both as less and less feathers were there for them to grip on. Blood stained his back as he ran for the clearing. Run. Run! RUN!

The light shined bright in his eyes when he cleared the trees, and his wings were spread wide, but in the light of the sun, the damage was clear. He leapt, wings flapping in a panic, but he fell to the ground. Turning, he tried again, but the wind wasn't captured under his wing and he fell to the ground again. Great tears ran down his face as he tried, his wings dripping and his face hot from blood loss. Panting, he looked up to the sky, his entire back on fire from the pain in his wings. It wasn't hard to find him. The mattered clumps of fallen feathers lead the way.

As he eyed the trees, he cried out. "Why?! WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS?!" His wings. His beautiful wings.

Crue had thought he had him, and he had grown cocky. Which was probably why he was watching that yellow and red streak running towards the clearing. Crue doubted he could still fly, but he wasn't about to get cocky again. If he lost this chance, he would forever regret it. And Crue didn't like regrets, he didn't like them at all.

White feathers were scattered all over the ground, and some even stuck to Diablo's maw. The soft white fluff covered with splatter of crimson. It was intoxicating, seeing all that red against that soft white. But Crue had to stop thinking now. Now he needed to get that god back where he wanted him.

The screams and whimpers that the god gave only served to feed into Crue's blood lust. He thought of how proud Sabia would be, though he made sure not to do things merely for her. But it didn't hurt if she enjoyed something he had done.

When he opened his wings again, Crue and Diablo lay eyes on the damage they had actually done. His wings were broken and torn. Tattered in the worst way, and if a bird had the same done, flying would be completely impossible.

Diablo looked at Crue, who nodded and they both ran after the god. He watched with golden eyes as the god tried to raise himself into the air. Desperate for a chance to escape.

"Because!" Crue yelled back, hearing the words that were yelled out at them. The god was in pain, and Crue needed to make sure he didn't die here.

"Why not?" He asked, as he closed in. Once he was sure that the god could not fly, he had slowed his pace. Stalking closer. The male was much smaller than the two brutes before him, and Crue was growing cocky again.

"You are coming back home with me, my little friend." He said deviantly.

There was no way to run. He knew nothing about these woods, and there was no place on foot that the others couldn't reach with more ease. His advantage had always been his wings....his poor, lovely wings...

Shaking and wide-eyed, he panted as he looked between the two moving close. They could kill him. Would they kill him? What benefit was there to killing a god? Then again, they needed no reason. Because. Because what? Why not? A question to a question. Because it was there, and there was no reason not to. That was a lie. There were plenty of reasons not to harm a god, but those reasons were not ones these two cared about.

"You are coming back home with me, little friend."

The idea of leaving this clearing, this little patch of sky, worried him. This home was no home of his, and what would they do there? Finish him.

A god can die and cannot die. He was immortal, but that wasn't to say he couldn't die and feel pain.

Everything was out of his control. He couldn't think. Couldn't speak - which made him oddly more afraid. Either way, he had no choice in this conversation. Here or there, they made the decisions as to what would happen to him.

His claws pathetically dug into the ground under him, useless, and he let out a loud roar of defeat.
