Lily had been so excited when her father told her the family would be spending the years vacation in England. Not only had she been excited she was absolutely rearing to go. She needed a break. A chance not to get pounded or pound on something and her father had said the family would spend the entirely of the summer traveling, vacationing in England. It was dream worthy, so so she thought at the time.
Her father had swooped in like genie and taken her family away on a journey across the ocean. He suggested to Lily that she send her things to there home in case Alex wanted to rent out her room for the summer, they never knew what could happened. She would be gone for three months and while it didnt seems a long time, she knew in a month she would be feeling it. She thought nothing of moving her things, quickly packing her things away and loading up the boxes to take them back to her parents home. While time drew nearer for the family departure it was all she could do not to ramble on to Alex about what England would be like. She had even mentioned several times that they might have a chance to view a bit of the summer Olympics.
It seemed to her that time flew so quickly and before she knew it, June had come and she was boarding a plane with promises to sends gifts to Alex, saying that she would make sure she bought him all the best things. She knew the things Alex liked. They had been best friends since they were in diapers.
On the plane, he sister had pestered her about college, boyfriends and kissing until she had made Xander sit between them, making Rose call her a pansy and Lily respond in an uppity voice that she was a Lily and so much more delicate and poised that an pansy, so much less thorny that a rose. This had even gotten a smirk out a Xander, but it didn't last seeing Lily fuming and hearing Rose utter her disagreement, which lead to him trying to diffuse the bomb. Lily couldn't help but to wonder why it seemed her sister was the youngest of the bunch and not she herself how was the youngest.
By the end of the plane ride Lily was in a better mood even though she was still ignoring her sister as much as she possibly could. She could stay mad for a while if she wanted. She felt her sister needed to be a little less crass about such subjects and she was glad for Xander's presence. She hadn't know that eventually her sister's nosey bothersome ways would be a very huge help to her.
Her annoyed state faded away as she checked out the sites of London from the hotel bus and by the time she made into the hotel she was happily suggesting a swim before dinner which both Rose and Xander quickly agreed to.

Lily strolled along the London zoo with her sister beside her. She was currently looking for the sign that would lead them to the lion exhibit, but her sister was looking at some English guy. Lily jerked suddenly as she was poked roughly in her side.
"Lily I swear, stop being so oblivious! I mean come on, you can't tell me that guy wasn't goregous! And besides he's looking at you, you should talk to him."
Lily rolled her eyes and frowned at her sister, "Rose stop it. That not what we came here for and beside I don't really care. I guess he's cute, but I'm not interested. Now stop goofing off, I want to see a bit more of the zoo before we have to leave. I know you want to have some time in the gift shop as much as I do."
Rose growled at her sister, "geez your impossible, you know that!" Rose grabbed hold of her sister and started pulling her in the direction of the English boys.
"Rose! I said no," she said though she didn't struggle, not wanting to cause a scene.
"Hi there," said Rose a group of guys, including the one she swore was looking at Lily, before giving her sister a slight shove only to earn a glare.
"Hello," Lily said still glaring at her sister, "I'm sorry to interrupt you."
Rose of course started flirting with one of the guys and chatting up the group and Lily frowned at her, but started to talking to the guys not wanting to be rude. She was all smiles fifteen minutes later walking with the group to the lion's den. Her sister was wrong of course, all the guys had been looking at Rose, but none the less, the guys had been more than willing to show them around.
She looked to the lions and smiled to herself thinking about everything and nothing before they were off again to look at some other animals, though mostly there was more chatting about and flirting going on than looking at actual animals. Rose even managed to get Lily to sing for the boys, insisting that she was most talented and they would be in awe of her. Lily was just happy they had enjoyed it.
Rose got the phone number of the boy she insisted was the cutest and Lily was surprised to find a number being slipped in her hand. Rose laughed at her sister as she turned red. They parted ways with the boys at the gift store and Lily went about picking out gifts for her friends back home. She would be mailing the gifts back home in boxed filled with other souvenirs.
"So did you enjoy yourself Lily blossom? Tell me now, you have to admit it, those guys we're so hot," Rose said with a grin.
Lily shook her head rolling her eyes, "come of Rose, lets go find mom, dad, and Xander."
