This is a peaceful little city a good distance away from Caer Benowyn as the population are at odds with the Swords of Salvation...at least politically. Their opinions and views welcome all forms of life, believing that there would be no light without the darkness. Dark RPCs will often find refuge and comfort here, sometimes having to stave off a few of the parties sent from Caer Benowyn as the Swords continue their press to enslave the land.
Mostly made out of wood, these buildings and houses offer supplies, rest, and other general goods to the people of the wormwood swamp. A small shrine to Rykros stands in the middle of the village, a perfect spot for Clerics to pray if they are unwelcome at the capitol of the swamp. Images of friendly and happy people behold all those who come seeking a decent time and good company at the local tavern, playing cheerful music and drowning out the darkness of the swamp, at least temporarily.

"Fear is not as simple as you think."
Avandis sat inside one of those small houses, the wooden ones you typically find abandoned or ready to be torn down, in this peaceful little city. It was a bit too peaceful to be to his liking to be honest, but right now it was the only place he felt like being. More or less for his own personal gain, to protect his partner that he had obtained through awkward means. To be honest, he didn't know exactly why she followed him around and what not, but she was easily able to experience fear from things around her. It made him happy that she was like that, he practically just considered her a vessel for his breakfast, lunch, and dinner most of the time. Though it was kind of nice, in a weird way to be around it. It amused him to say the very least. He turned, looked at her for a moment, and then would hear the squeaking of a small mouse. Come to think of it, he hadn't really eaten much all day. There wasn't any normal food in this town he liked, and it was a bit too peaceful for him to just go around causing havoc and chaos. It'd draw too much attention. He would move quickly, grabbing the mouse on the floor by it's tail, then dangling it in the air. The mouse's squeaking indicated it's clear fear. Avandis would move his free hand, putting it near the mouse's body, he began to pull a black mist off the mouse. When he finished, the mouse stopped squeaking. He set it down on the table, and the thing just, looked at him for a moment, before skittering around on the table. It's fear of him was gone, held in Avandis' hand, in the form of what looked like it could be a chocolate covered cream puff. Avandis would plop the puff like shape into his mouth, and smile as he swallowed it. "Mmmm...That was pretty good." He said out loud.
Sweet? Charming? Wait what? He was being nice? He simply wanted to protect his vessel of fear. Oh well, she could believe what she wanted to believe, it was fine by him. He only did what he wished to do because of his own personal gain he would obtain. None the less, he would allow her to continue speaking, of course she wanted him to go to Caer Benowyn? Her quarters and what not? It all sounds so...just so...no words could even describe it. She mentioned though, that he'd be such a rare sight. He began to chuckle a bit. "A Rare Sight indeed, considering they hunt my kind in the first place." He said to her, moving from where he had been, and coming over to his partner, then standing only a bit away from her, perhaps and inch or so. "I might be strong, but I can't fight against an army of Cleric and Paladins." He said to her, smiling a bit at her more or less, because he was still a bit hungry. Although he didn't plan to just, jump at her, scare the crap out of her, then eat her fear. "Either way, we're not going to that place, in fact, I think it's safer for us to leave the swamp entirely." He said to her, nodding.

"Fear is not as simple as you think."
His eyes closed as he shook his head, kneeling a bit down so that her and his partner would indeed come face to face. "Trust me, that won't change." He said to her, though she had backed up from his thoughts on leaving the swamp. She said she couldn't, something about the matriarch. Oh who cared? "You can leave, don't say you can't. Besides, that, you've been following me around right? What if I decided to leave the swamp without telling you I was leaving, would you still be following me?" He said to her, before she gave him an ultimatum it seemed. She wouldn't even think of leaving unless she goes back to that place? Avandis smiled at her, standing straight up once more, then would walk forwards, once more being inches away from her. His hands both coming up, and then he placed them both on her shoulders. "Tell me then, what are these very precious belongings?" He questioned, if she didn't give him an answer he liked though, he'd probably just end up dragging her along with him to leave the swamp.
Avandis smiled at her response. She was a smart alec as she had been since he knew her. Or well, at least it seemed that way. "Well, you'd have been following me anyways, if we just suddenly came to the end of the swamp, you'd still follow wouldn't you?" He questioned, though it didn't matter. Then she went on to talking about Pital, but none of it would sink into Avandis. "You'd have ran away from the person who saved you if it weren't for Pital huh?" He questioned, laughing a bit, but none the less, she went back to the very precious belongings of hers. Explaining the need of her apothecary set, and how it held memories, and how she needed it if she wanted to heal anyone else. He smiled, his arms would move to being placed on her hips, as he spoke. "Okay." He said, giving her false hope he agreed to the terms. His mouth would make his way to her neck though, biting down on it a bit, as he would eat that bit of fear that she felt for a moment. But, soon enough she would be lifted into his arms, and her body weight held up by the man's strength. "I don't think you need to heal other people right about now anyways. You can get a new set later, and the old one when we come back to the swamp. Closest thing I have to any sort of precious item, is my vessel that carries the fear I eat, which means you, now shush and we're going." He would say to her, as he'd walk out of the abandoned house, and walk along the streets. No one was out, it was night time, and it was dark.

The sound of hoofbeats could be heard slowly coming up the street. It cam from the other side of a hill in the road, sloping downward enough to have the source of the noise out of sight. For the time being anyway...
