They'd met up in the rogue lands. Both girls hit it off because each tended to push the other. Harsh words, slaps with claws, and full blown fights had happened, but
Chai and
Pili were friends. The saying, for them, went: 'with a friend like that, who needed enemies?' It was true, too. Though both girls had problems with one another, they found common ground in the fact neither took crap from anyone.
Pili had grown bored of tormenting her sister. The white and brown lioness had moved on when her twin, Lipi's, second litter had rolled around and proved even more boring than the first. She wanted excitement, she wanted adventure, something completely different than what life her sister was living. Yet she couldn't help but want a home. Her sister had found one, and Pili was thinking it was time for herself to settle down. Not with a mate, oh no. There wasn't a male that met her very high standards. But she could settle into sister-ship with Chai.
Those golden eyes turned to look at her brown companion and sighed. She was such a pretty, volatile little thing. If Pili had been interested in females, she would definitely pick Chai to be her partner. But, she wasn't, so the brown female settled into the slot of the second sister. The one she really wanted.
Chai, on the other hand, didn't consider Pili a sister. Chai was one of the few females that could make friends but not have them be that close. As the two girls walked, Chai recalled the day she'd met Pili and the fight that had happened over a fallen water buck. The thing was sick, so Chai had ended it's life. However, after that one fight, Pili had somehow thought that was a sign of friendship.
Whatever, Chai would take it. It meant not being lonely anymore, but it also meant sharing a meal with her, hunting for her when Pili was too lazy, which was often. It meant playing caregiver, basically, and the brown female was quickly growing sick of it. That's why Chai was taking Pili to the 'pirate pride' as she had heard it be called. It seemed like the perfect place for both of them, honestly. Hopefully, this would get the white lioness off her back.
The pair walked together around, what they thought, was the border of that specific pride. They walked with caution, smelling the guards around. Honestly, a fight was the last thing from either of their minds. It was late, they were tired, and wanted somewhere to sleep where they didn't have to watch their backs.
