All of the entries came with their own unique flavor of fear but alas only two can claim top prize. Those two profoundly poetic pundants are:
joethemailguy69 with a voraciously volatile & verbose entry
&
Miss Amelia Pond with her chilling reminder of the suffering and fear many in our world now face.
But the others need not despair as you will all receive something just for participating!
YAY YAY YAY!! prizesh hooooahahahooooo!
That's right Squishy, it is exciting isn't it?

-[SMACK]-
Now on to our next exciting event. A spooktacular scavenger hunt across Gaia. It's simple really; For each of the next 5 days I will post a clue for that day's Scary Scavenger Hunt item. It might b e an NPC, it might be an item, it might be a forum, it might be a game creature but it will always be something related to Gaia and Halloween/Horror.
When you think you've found the list item in question you can either PM me right away or wait until you've collected all the answers and submit them via PM that way. Now I'm sure you're wondering what the prize is this time around and I will not disappoint. Once again there will be two top winners chosen and the prize will be; October's Collectible Letter!
Happy Hunting and let's keep rolling those dice!

Sorry for not being around guys, this wicked jester has a had a hectic week with work and family and haven't been able to come online much until now. Fear not, scratch that, BE AFRAID for I have returned to continue unleashing a plethora of chaos and fun unto you all.
To prove this, the next event you shall all endure will require you to -[gasp]- USE LITERACY! -[dun,dun,dun]-
Nuuuuuuuuuu! Reeeeeeading! WRiTiiiiiiiiiiNG! WHARGARBL
-[SMACK]- Quiet you.
Yes, a writing contest. What will you be writing? Think back to a time you felt scared, like really scared. Maybe when you were a child and you experienced your first thunderstorm, or the first time you went out for Halloween and saw all the scary costumes. Keeping that feeling in mind, write a 17 line poem (Doesn't have to rhyme.) about FEAR...
How it feels, what it smells like, what it sounds like, anything you can use to describe the sensation of FEAR. There will be two grand prize winners and two special prize winners. The two top winners will each receive one of these. The special winners will receive... something special twisted
Contest runs from today until the 19th and winners will be announced on the 20th. One entry per person and all entries must be posted in this thread using the scroll post style. And I will be going through the thread today and updating everything and doling out missed rewards gonk Also, since it's getting closer to Halloween Squishy will get more and more hyper around here giving you more and more chances to win!

For today's terror filled treat I'll be sharing a few recipes that I'll be baking throughout the day. Don't worry, not all of them are poisonous. Everything from monstrous muffins to ginger-dead men. Spooky sweets for the season of treats.
Something BURNSSSS! Hoo-stinky.
-[SMACK]- My cooking isn't that bad.
Choco-Mallow Skull Cakes:
Contains:
3/4 cup cocoa powder
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, room temperature
1 cup sugar
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup sour cream
Then:
1 Mid-large sized marshmallow per cake you plan to bake.
or
1 Pre-frozen icing ball of equal size per cake you plan to bake.
Then:
1 Cup white chocolate chips
White icing..
The How To:
Mix fine ingredients (cocoa powder, flour, etc) in a separate bowl.
Mix butter & sugar until lightly creamed.
Add eggs, beating mixture between each then mix in vanilla.
Add fines mixture + sour cream, blending well.
Pre-heat oven to 350°F, pour batter into paper-lined tray. Fill to about half then add marshmallow or frozen icing ball to center of the cup and fill to desired level of batter. Repeat per number of cakes. Let bake for approx. 20-25 minutes and cool an additional 5 before moving on.
If everything worked out (Took me 3 tries first time I did 'em gonk ) you should have cupcakes with either a creamy or gooey center. The extra icing and white chocolate chips are for decoration afterwards. I call them Skull Cakes cos I paint a skull pattern with the icing and use the chips for eyeballs & teeth. biggrin You can decorate, or substitute cake & icing varieties, however you choose.

October 1st, 2012
Once a year the spiritual energies of the underworld swell to unparallelled levels. It is a time when all the ghosts, goblins, demons, monsters, killers and maniacs all get to roam free from their eternal Hell.
Fiiiiiiiiire! HOT! HOT!
...This time of year is the month of October. 31 days where horror reigns and a palpable stench of fear and death waft along a chilled breeze. Ah yes, all for the most wonderful time of the year; Halloween.
Candy? Caaaandeh!? CANDY! HOO-HAH biddy-biddy.
...The time has come, oh Gaians, to face your fears once more. And they will only get worse and more intense as the month progresses culminating in a bloodbath of a party swarming with paranormal energy on Halloween Night twisted . Need some incentive? There will be plenty of treats and tricks but will the reward be worth the risk and the terrors you'll endure?
FEAR! p-p-panic! ChAoS! DOOOOOOOOOM!
-[SMACK]-
biddy-biddy -[twitch]-
Sugar... it rots the mind. In any case today's challenge is a simple one. One that can be done at anytime this month but only once per day. All you have to do is get the ball rolling. Or should I say die?
Step before the twisted jester and play my game! Roll my three six sided dice and land a number odd not even but not even odd and it will decide your fate. Will you be tricked or will you be treated? Special rewards for spooky circumstances with your roll. ninja
BOOO! BOOO! BOOGITY BOO!
-[SMACK]-
This is my familiar, Squishy. He is the result of what sugar will do if you leave a brain smothered from lobe to lobe in it behind a microwave for three hundred and thirty-three days. He's a little hard to control, if you see him about causing a ruckus take note of it for me would you? I might just reward you.
