Padding softly, Lumi looked out at the fading sky. This was probably her favorite time of the day, when the sun began its slow descent towards the horizon. Her white fur turned a pinkish orange every time, and it was nice feeling the last bit of warmth wash over her before the cool of night set in. But it would still be a little while before that happened; she still had some time to keep moving, going towards a destination that she didn’t even know of yet.
But that was just how life was for a young female cheetah; go where the wind takes you, live every moment to its fullest. At least, that’s how it was for her. And she was so absorbed in that idea that anything else really kind of frightened her. Sure, she’d seen others settle down, start a family; but that just wasn’t the life for her. Not now, anyway.
Putting a slight bounce back in her step, she kept going, only pausing every once in a while to gaze at the lowering sun.
