At the very peak of the city, at the tallest point, lies a massive fire fueled by a combination of a natural gas main and wood. This is where executions, ceremonies, and declarations by the chief take place. It's also the starting point for the annual shield slide that takes place through the city.

((Types of executions available: Being kicked off the square with a noose around your neck. Being tied up with chains and tossed in the fire. Beheading by the Chief. Being tied to a wheel and rolled through the city. Firing Squad. Being stuck by lightening. Mage destruction.))

[Shield Sledding Start Point]
For shield sledding, it's 3 posts in this area before getting into the rest of the city. NOTE: It's not our fault if you get injured during the event...

"So what if it's looting? They won't miss it."

Billy sat at the top of the city, overlooking everything. He could feel the warm fire behind him, burning as bright as ever. He wondered if it had ever gone out, or if someone had always kept it burning bright. He wasn't always around, and he was surely older than just about every resident. So it was a lost fact. He wondered about small stuff like that. As he looked out onto the city, he wondered what treasure it had ever hid in its confines. If it ever did that is. He pondered searching the city for whatever remnants might be hiding in the walls or in the darkest nooks and crannies. But that'd take forever, and it would invade on a lot of the residents, so it was best he didn't do it. He'd summoned one of the higher ranking guards to council him on training. He was a lowly scoundrel coming into power, and he wanted to progress in his trade so he could rob twice as many people, if not three times as many. He waited patiently.

Silently, from behind Billy, the warrior watched with cold, calculating eyes. He breathed in once, letting the scent of the vampire irritate his lupine senses. A grimace cracked over his grizzled features as he slowly stepped forward, his weight heavy enough for his foot steps to make audible sound. The werebeast warrior's form was shadowed by the burning, warm fire behind him, illuminating Stag Hero Ho as a silhouette of intimidation. "Usually, a student waits patiently for a teacher to arrive," he commented, his voice gravely and low. "I am not one to be summoned, blood drinker, but I won't turn you away from a learning experience." The teacher rested his hand on the hilt of his longsword, studying the scoundrel.

Billy turned his head to look at Stag Hero Ho. He stood up and nodded. "I'm appreciative of you coming Stag Hero Ho. I could use some lessons. I'm interested in learning some new tricks. Have anything to teach me?" He said, standing up and crossing over to Stag Hero Ho. He made a slight bowing motion as a sign of respect to him. He might be older, but it didn't mean he knew more.

The warrior watched the scoundrel carefully, considering his new student with slight suspicion. He never really trusted thieves, but from the way Billy spoke, he seemed to have a bit of honor about him. He snorted once, then turned away, removing his intense gaze as he began to speak. "Sure, I know a bit to pass on." He glanced down at the vampire's legs, drawing his longsword. "One of your greatest assets as a scoundrel," Stag Hero Ho started, curling the class around his tongue with slight disgust, "is an arsenal of crippling attacks. Swing here," The sword whistled through the air as he lightly slashed at Billy's shin, skillfully avoiding hitting his student but close enough to make a point. "and you, with your knowledge of the human body, should be able to land a blow in the correct spot to cripple their legs."

[ Cripple
C-rank

"So what if it's looting? They won't miss it."

Billy thought about the technique for a moment. He analyzed the movements first of all. He didn't like the bland way Stag Hero Ho performed it, but he still needed to maintain some form of flash. Something that would keep the enemy off balance and give Billy an appearance as of being faster than he was. But how to do so?

It came to mind adding a spin. Surely hitting the same spot, but with a twist of the whole body would be easy. He was only slashing at the leg area. How hard was that to miss? Finally, he unhooked his cutlass from his belt. He locked the blade in it's sheath with a small hook, and attempted the motion Stag Hero Ho was trying to teach him, but with his own personal twist.

And sure enough it was easy. With a counter clockwise twist, almost side stepping some attack that was never there, Billy came awfully close to Stag Hero Ho's shins. Although close but not touching, he was sure he would get some flack from him anyway. He tried the technique once more to make sure he had it. This time clockwise, ending up where he was when they started this motion.

"Alright, I can add 'Cripple' to my repitiore. What's next?" he inquired, looking to learn as much as he could as fast as possible.
