Faiz sighed in obvious upset as clouds of dust kicked up around his feet. His rapid pacing had done little to calm his frazzled nerves. She had finally done it, she'd finally told her old man off, and he wasn't at all happy with it. His claws unsheathed into the dirt as he thought back to his daughter's long 'heart to heart'. She'd told him he should back down, that no males would ever approach her if he were so protective. He scoffed at the idea, allowing his nose to make a loud snorting noise. That was kind of the point, to drive them all away, that meant no one could break her fragile little heart! Why oh WHY couldn't she see something so obvious right in front of her nose?
Faiz's heart wrenched in his chest as he left his pride's borders, having given up on his pointless pacing. Perhaps some fresh air and new surroundings would allow him to calm down? Though he had his doubts, he tried to push them away. Stress wasn't good for him, it only drove him more mad than he already was. Looking out at the horizon set before him, he took a deep breath of the air he so rarely got to inhale. It looked like clear skies ahead - hopefully he'd be able to get over his upset before he returned home.

Jivu was wondering aimlessly, something she did often without meaning to. She'd find herself sat perfectly content in some shade, or heading to the nearest source of water and then she'd have to consciously change her route because she was heading into nowhere. This time however, she had not yet become aware of what she was doing, and the spotted lioness had her heads well and truly in the clouds. Olive green eyes cast at the ground she sighed.
It had been a long time since she'd left her family, since her brother had betrayed her the way he did. How could he destroy the family like that? To disgrace them with all the lies, to lead their own father into danger to try and gain status. She half snarled out loud. Her brother was long gone, lost to the gang of lions which tried to corrupt him with violence, and her father and mother had moved on with their lives, or tried to. The family was never the same and the lack of love had left a void. Everything was different, and Jivu had to leave, she had to start again.
She looked up just in time to notice that another lion, who seemed equally lost in thought, was pacing around. Jivu extended a short apology "Sorry.", and then looked back at him again. "Are you okay?"
((So sorry, I was sure I'd tagged this!))

He had heard her snarl, though it must not have registered as very threatening because the male simply ignored its presence. Meandering on without so much as a glance around. He had more important things on his mind than some would be ferocious lion. He could handle himself, if he couldn't how else could his current presence be explained? The words broke through his strange trance-like state near immediately. It was a female's voice, which was definitely something he hadn't been expecting - especially in the form of an apology? Lifting his head up from its sulking position, he took in the view of the female before him. She was easy on the eyes, her black, grey, and white pelt casting a strange contrast against the colors he had grown accustomed to over the years. "Sorry for what?" He questioned, allowing his focus to catch her eyes, she seemed distant, as though her mind were really somewhere else. "Huh? Yeah i'm fine, why wouldn't I be?" Simply shrugging off her question, he attempted to redirect the conversation. "What about you? Its not everyday we get a lioness brave enough to venture onto our borders. You do know where you are .. right?"

She shrugged. "Not really. I wasn't paying attention." She admitted. She wasn't one for being particularly careful of prides borders anyway, to be honest. Jivu was never going to accidentally wander over into any and get hurt though, she wasn't that stupid. She tilted her head at the large lion, who was covered in scars, perhaps reminders of a violent past? "You certainly don't seem fine." The lioness knew enough about body language to guess when someone was feeling upset or ill at ease, and also, he reminded her of herself, when her mind wondered off and she spent time wondering around with her brain working overtime. "But if you want to pretend you are, that's fine with me." With a flick of the tail she gave him a grin and moved a little closer. "I'm Jivu, care to talk, or would you rather me be on my way?" She was open to an honest answer, she knew sometimes it was best to just be left to your own devices. Jivu, however, could do with another voice in her head.

He was scared of that, it was the way with many lions who accidentally crossed the borders. They had no clue of exactly what they were doing, and the next thing they knew, they were in hot water. Taking a deep breath he looked the new lioness in the eye and explained himself. "Well at current you're dangerously close to crossing over into Jahy Sarlarin lands. I would suggest you watch your step, they do not take lightly to unexpected guests. I can't tell you what exactly would happen if you did cross the borders, but I can tell you it won't be pleasant." He tried to force a smile, fearful that he would scare her away.
Faiz was rather grateful at her quick change of subject, he had left the last one a little ... lacking in the friendly department. "Well that could be because i'm dealing with some tough to accept issues right now. But if you're referring to the scars - then I am fine. You have no need to worry. I wear them with honor, no regret or pain involved." Faiz wasn't much for conversation, he'd tried to shy away from others ever since his mate's betrayal and well now he was obviously really rusty. The closer she stepped though, the more nervous he become. It wasn't a scared nervous, but a happy one. Perhaps he should take her up on her offer of conversation? It could prove to be useful to have a female's opinion on the subject ... but what if she took Behiye's side?
"Faiz sim Hadi. But you may call me Faiz if you're prefer." He bent himself low to the ground and dipped his head in respect. "It is a pleasure to meet you Jivu, is there something on your mind you'd like to talk about in return?"

"Faiz." She said simply, repeating his name. Jivu looked down to her black and white splattered paws and took them back a few steps. Enough to make a difference but not enough to look ridiculous. She didn't need or want any unnecessary trouble, she had enough on her mind.
Dealing with issues? Hm, weren't we all... She tried to shake the pacifist from entering her mind before she continued to talk to him, her family always said that depression breeds depression. Thankfully the same went for happiness, well, supposedly. "I'm fine thanks." Her tail flickered uneasily, but she steadied her mind again. She'd only got to thinking about the past, and that would get her nowhere. These issues were long gone.
"What about yourself, I could be useful to lend an ear?" She suggested, although she wasn't so sure..

Faiz studied the female's movements as he talked, and even more as she talked. As much as she claimed to be fine, there was just something there that didn't seem right. But he knew a thing or two about females, and if they were anything like his old mate, they liked to hide their true feelings.
A crooked half smile appeared across his maw as she offered her ear, he was relieved to hear it, but he was still lost in her body language.... Perhaps he had only scared her with his previous comments, but he felt unease at her slow step away. Was she fearful of him? Preparing an attack? Or simply uncomfortable in close quarters?
"Hmm how about we lend each other an ear? I know you've said you don't need it but, I just feel like there's something there..." He stepped lightly, beginning to circle her slowly. He wanted to study her from all angles, she didn't appear to be hurt, or battle scarred so he had little to worry with in that regard...
"That is, if i'm not intruding too much..." As he completed his circle around the female, he plopped down lazily in front of her, far enough back to give her personal space. "Which I assure you isn't my goal."

Ah, he certainly was observant, she'd give him that. "I do not mean to offend." She began, looking from the large lion to the ground. "It is just that, I don't open up to others easily. I suppose you could say I've learnt to keep myself a little guarded." Jivu chuckled bitterly. "I've just had a rough time with family, and I've had to leave, start anew, if you like."
She reached out to stretch her long black and white paws. Olive eyes meeting Faiz again when she had finished. "And what about yourself?" She cocked her head, aware that he too, may not want to talk about things, it could be too difficult. Sometimes it really was best to just, push them from your mind.

Faiz let out a small low chuckle at her words. The two were quite alike in ways, they may not have thought. What a strange little world they lived in ... Pacing quietly around, it was obvious something was bothering him, but it was also obvious he was having trouble admitting to them. "I think you are more alike than we might think." He glanced up catching sight of her gorgeous olive eyes. "I keep myself pretty guarded as well, my life has thrown many challenges my way. Each one adds a new layer to the shield I have built around myself. Though I haven't started anew, I can't help but feel like life is pulling me in that direction." Heaving a heavy sigh, he could feel the burden building on his shoulders by the second. "I think I have built my shield more out of pride than shame or what have you. In my pride I am meant to be strong, mental worries can't be something we are bothered by." Plopping down in front of the female he continued, "Though I do understand your plight for not sharing, some things are too personal to be shared. Forgive me for intruding."Zohwee Hey Zohwee! Not sure if you're still interested in this plot or not, but even if you're not, would you be interested in finishing the RP with me? <3
