Bukaera was in a different part of the rogue lands. He wasn't sure how far he had traveled and knew the only way he would be able to get back to Mazu was to retrace his steps. It didn't matter though, truth be told he probably wouldn't return to Mazu. There wasn't anyone there for him, well except his son. Ekaitz was practically an adult now though. He could take care of himself if Bukaera never returned. Plus if he needed any help Hasierara would be there. Bukaera's brother showed up, which at first was a blessing since Bukaera had thought his brother had died. However the longer he stayed the more it became obvious that the two brother's opinions were vastly different. It came to the point where Bukaera didn't feel comfortable in his own home, so he left.
Out in the rogue lands, life was much easier. There was no one to judge you, everyone was accepting, well sorta. He did understand that it was a survival of the fittest land, but in a way he still felt it was accepting. As he traveled he made it to a little pond. It was the first water he had seen in the savannah today. He laid down next to it, in the shade of a tree. This would be a good resting spot, he decided. It wasn't too late, but still, this would be the perfect spot to rest. He dipped his head into the water and took a couple sips of it. The water was cool down his throat. He was thankful for the evening to be cool as well. He had been too hot all day.
As he laid there, he wondered what was going on at Mazu. Perhaps Hasi had joined, making more reasons why Bukaera shouldn't return. He could go back eventually, he thought with a smile. Maybe Ekaitz would be all grown up, with a family of his own. He was sure his son would end up differently then he did. Ekaitz wouldn't just sleep around, he would get a proper mate, someone that loved him. Bukaera would be happy for him and proud. There were times when Bukaera had thought that he ought to find a mate and have a family. The idea was so odd though for him. He didn't think he could really love anyone. Every time someone would get close he would shut down and leave.
He let out a sigh. At least in the rogue lands he didn't have to worry about that.
