[15:37] skieborne: so that while people might not have dragons or wnat to RP, they can contribute by making things like an item shop
[15:38] skieborne: they'll be able to profit from this too, probably
[15:38] skieborne: not sure, might go with marks
[15:39] skieborne: it's an aspect I haven't given a great deal of thought yet because it involves setting up an economy
[15:39] skieborne: xD
[15:39] skieborne: as for how the events will work:
[15:40] skieborne: salvage - scavanger hunt. we'll pepper the icons across the entire guild and they'll click on them. the click will take them to a new tab/window where they'll have a 'SALVAGEABLE' or 'NOT SALVAGEABLE' thing pop up. if it's salvageable, they can report it in a reporting thread
[15:40] skieborne: due to the nature of this i don't expect it to run more'n a few days
[15:40] skieborne: different types of salvage material have different point values
[15:41] skieborne: more points = better
[15:41] skieborne: the reason why i want 'not salvageable' is to make it more complicated then
[15:41] skieborne: 'spot, copy, post'
[15:41] skieborne: xD
[15:42] skieborne: it's absically going over the shop and revisiting sites and gathering up resources on a player basis in a good natured race
[15:42] skieborne: nothing intensive
[15:42] skieborne: this event's all about being creative
[15:42] skieborne: and the points will go to the player who can spend them as they wish at the end of the event
[15:42] skieborne: at the end, I'll have items that be used in-game as marks of prestige
[15:43] skieborne: we generally say 'no special stuff' but I want to give them an opportunity to strut their stuff
[15:44] skieborne: additionally, the characters (this is decided when they divvy points up) will be ICly recognized and honoured in an ORP and given medals/ribbons for them to display in journals
[15:44] skieborne: er the characters with the highest point values
[15:45] skieborne: collecting materials will be accompanied by ORPs for people to play in and is an opportunity for people to flesh out unique locales around Trine for people to RP in. it'll go into a list of locations for Trine - i deliberately haven't specified anything because that's up to the players. the only stipulation is that the location have some link to resources that be exploited
[15:46] skieborne: the collecting materials will lead into the feline encounter which will be a high-energy combat encounter type deelio
[15:46] skieborne: and finally, building things is taking all the pieces and putting them together. you've got scavenged goods, you've got brand new goods, but they needs places to actually be
[15:46] skieborne: the community decides the official layout
[15:47] skieborne: Trine essentially got flattened in the revolution
[15:47] skieborne: so there's ALL sorts of room to rebuild
[15:47] skieborne: the community decides what goes where
[15:47] skieborne: by making maps/visuals/etc etc any way they want to present it
[15:47] skieborne: there's some requirements, yes, but otherwise it's up to players
[15:47] skieborne: staff picks the ones we like most and the community votes one into official-ness
[15:48] skieborne: once the winner's picks, I clean the map up and post in on the front page of the shop with credit where credit's due
[15:48] skieborne: and that becomes the canon layout
[15:48] skieborne: i want people to have a personal, real connection to their RPs =3
[15:49] skieborne: and the points earned in this event will go towards IC rewards
[15:49] skieborne: and will lead in to the introduction of an official player market type thing
[15:49] skieborne: people can earn marks through special events and spend them to buy special things ICly
[15:50] skieborne: and can have images associated with it like a mini shop
[15:50] skieborne: but it'll all be shop-sanctioned
[15:50] skieborne: and we can have item creation contests and the like

GROUP A
The Tunnel Snake was massive, it’s back against the wall and a gathering crowd of ill-intending enemies at the mouth of the cave. The cave itself was a medium sized thing, enough for a group of people but not enough for the adult dragons to enter – they could cram their arms in and fish if they wanted but one does not put one’s hand down the snake hole without getting bitten.

Its coils snaked along as it turned, claws digging into the shallow depression of the crevice, eyes flashing in the minimal light reflected from the water outside. With no torches or glows evident, keeping an eye on it will be difficult. Pausing, it seemed to gather itself and with a hissing roar, lashed out at the nearest humans.

COMBAT WITH THE TUNNEL SNAKE
Location: The cave is NOT big enough for dragons to get in. It is also confined. Expect to take heavy damage. No one mentioned bringing a torch or a glow or other light thing so visibility will be reduced.

MAP
User Image

Humans
HP: 30

You have 2 abilities
Distract: this ability interrupts the Tunnel Snake in some fashion (kicking sand, throwing rocks, etc) and draws its attention to the user. The Snake will focus on the person using the ability for one round. This can only be used once. The Tunnel Snake must roll at least a 4 on 1d6 to resist fixating.
Attack: humans can use whatever means available (knives, rocks, sharp shells, environmental factors, etc) to harm the Tunnel Snake. Humans Deal 1d6+1 damage (regardless of weapons).

Dragons
HP: 60

Abilities
Grasp: this is a reach-in and grab movement from your place at the entrance of the cave. Digging talons into flesh, grasping a limb, etc, this attack temporarily immobilizes the Tunnel Snake and damages it. Deals 1d8+2 damage.
Roar: this stuns the Tunnel Snake AND 4 humans for 1 turn. Those stunned are randomized.

Tunnel Snake
HP: 110

Boss Abilities
Crush: this is a rushing motion that bowls over the target and pins them beneath its body, immobilizing the target. The Tunnel Snake is large enough to pin 2 characters and still attack. Being pinned makes the target unable to act for 1 turn.
Snap: the target becomes the recipient of a toothed bite. Deals significant damage: 1d6+4
Claw: a swiping motion of the claws, limited reach and deals 1d6 -1 damage.
Counter-Grasp: this thrashing motion happens if/when the snake is grasped and deals 1d6 damage to the dragon and 4 damage three random enemies. If the roll is 6, the damage is doubled and the dragon takes serious injury to the hand or face (whichever is used) and cannot grasp again for the encounter.
Multi-strike: a passive ability, the snake’s size and intelligence allows it to combat up to 5 people at once, responding and/or attacking them.

GROUP B
The man had been spotted and he was hobbling away, the first time any of the dragons or humans with Moriath had caught a glimpse of the infamous Blue Rider, Keller’s go-to man for swift and secret transport. The scent became all too familiar to the ones that had been present the day the revolution began and Archimonde had been whisked away to safety by the dragon they’d all come to loathe.

His identity known, it was either fight or flight for the blue rider.

However, the blue above had the upper hand and the choice to attack. The Resistance was closing in and there was no telling what would happen.

KYRIE-ONLY
Roll 1d20: Roll higher than 9 to succeed one free action before everyone else can respond. Roll less and your surprise element is gone as someone notices the Blue Dragon.
Surprise Attack: a diving or strafing motion tearing at the dragons on the ground. The surprise catches them unawares and deals 2d6+3 damage to the dragons hit. Can only be used if surprise roll succeeds.
Blue Raith
HP: 60

Abilities
Attack: with tooth and talon, the blue attacks and his attacks hit harder then usual because of his time with the Wherhandlers. Deals 2d4+2 damage
Agility: High agility means this dragon takes 1d4+1 less damage from incoming attacks.
Dodge: Roll 2d4+2, if the total is higher than or equal to the incoming attack, the attack misses. If the dodge fails, Agility can be used immediately after the failed Dodge to minimize damage. (roll 4d4; first 3 = dodge total, last 1d4 = damage reduction)

SPECIAL ACTION: Roll 1d20, roll higher than 8 to use Escape.
Escape: this trump card interrupts any action and the dragon uses his masterful command of teleporting to grab his rider and disappear Between to safety. Can only be used once, automatically succeeds.
Surrender: this allows the dragon to surrender on behalf of the pair, submitting them both to the authority of the Trine Resistance. No further damage is allowed. Does not need a Special Action Roll

Bluerider Valik
HP: 25
Evade Capture: roll 1d20 when someone tries to Capture Rider.
Attack: through fist or weapon, the individual attacks a target. Deals 1d4 damage.
There is no damage reduction.

PLAYERS
Dragons
HP: 50

Abilities
Attack: with tooth and talon, attacking to bring the blue down. Deals 2d4 damage.
Dodge: attempts to dodge the incoming attack, roll 1d10 and if the result is higher than Raith’s attack roll, the attack misses.
There is no damage reduction.

Humans
HP: 25

Capture Rider: roll 1d20 for this. If the result is higher then ‘s Evade Capture Roll, then he is captured. Useable only once every 3 posts (of your own characters)
Attack: through fist or weapon, the individual attacks a target. Deals 1d4 damage.
There is no damage reduction.

NOTES
Dragons CANNOT but Humans CAN attack Valik but remember Blue Raith has a get-out-jail-free card. You’ve been ordered to capture him, not have him escape. Whether he gets captured is in part up to Kyrie and in part up to the dice.
