 The Clown Prince of CrimeThe Joker hadn't really been out and about much lately. But tonight...he decided that getting some fresh air under the smog filled skies of Gotham was just what he needed. Suit up, stretch his legs, see how the neighborhood was doing...maybe rob something or give his venom rounds a little work out. Unfortunately he still wasn't in the mood to get caught and carted off to Arkham. So...he'd have to settle on Crime Alley rather than the largely populated area of Gotham. Although...Rosie was old enough now to take care of herself... He'd certainly made sure she knew how to use a gun, all the little tricks needed for a quick get away, and of course an immunity to his toxins. If he did decide to go hit the main area of Gotham...fill a hospital with laughing gas...and have a long over-due reunion with the Bat...then Rosie would be more than fine by herself at the house for a while. The Joker mused quietly to himself as he walked casually down the deserted city streets. A few thugs for hire spotting him from an alley now and then...but no one really going out of their way to make their presence known. Wouldn't know why...he'd only used this block as a little training ground for Rosie when he was teaching her how to use his flag rounds. Moving targets gave a bit more experience than the occasional hanging corpse. ooc: Still nothing on Rosie...I'm just going to go ahead with Joker anyway..

Miguel ran down the streets of the East End as fast as he could, trying desperately to get away from the squad car that was on his trail. He didn't do anything wrong except running away from the orphanage, and its the cop's duty to turn in runaways. He ducked into an alleyway and hid there until the squad car passed. When it did, Miguel let a sigh of relief escape his lips as he adjusted the bandanna that covered his nose and mouth area. He then looked around to see where he was exactly. He knew his way around Gotham like the back of his hand, but he tended to avoid this part of town.

High Voltage Drake Elvoy Drake sat up top of an abandoned building eating a small bag of chips as he waited for something good to happen. He patrolled in the East End on the second Tuesday of every month, he had schedule and everything. He felt like he worked better as a group and especially with his former teammates in the Revenge Squad, but it was time to leave. Finishing his chips, he was just about to give up and head home when he heard a police siren and then more followed. He looked downward at the streets and there in front of the squad car was a boy trying to escape from it. Drake watched his every move even as he cut into the alley way to hide. This isn't all that much but at least its something. He leaped from the rooftop and glided down into the streets. Drake slowly crept into the alleyway where he had seen the boy run into. ''Hello?''He said unsure of what else to say.

Just as Miguel was getting ready to leave, he heard someone behind him. He quickly turned around and saw a guy in some sort of superhero get-up, compared to him who was just wearing a sweatshirt, jeans, and black converse. Maybe the bandanna might be a little suspicious, but what can you do? "Um...hi..." he finally said. "...and who are you supose to be?"

High Voltage Drake Elvoy Drake's hope of getting a serious reputation around here ended. He stood firmly and decided to just question him. ''Well I saw you get chased down by that cop car and just wanted to see what was up?''Drake slowly put his hand behind his back and the electricity started to flow through his fingertips.

Miguel hesitated for a moment before he decided to say something. "I didn't do anything illegal...if that's what you're asking?" He probably thought that Miguel stole something or something like that.

Cassandra knelt down and stroked her cat's tawny fur. Well I suppose he wasn't really her cat, he'd just kept coming around and she'd started feeding him until he'd been comfortable enough to make himself at home in her apartment. "So long cat," she murmered, sliding on her jacket and tossing her car keys up in the air and catching them again.
The building wasn't all that great but it was the best she could afford and what did she expect? She was a psychiatrist and frankly, not a very well paid one. Cassandra slid out the door and began her was down the street to the bus-stop, as she had been doing since she got home from her "vacation".

The Clown Prince of CrimeAs the Joker thought to himself, an all-too familiar sound hit his ears. He stopped in the middle of the street and casually turned around, glancing down the street. As he watched a blur of red and blue flashing lights zip down the other end of the street, a large grin crept around his face. Well now...that looked like an open invitation for a bit of fun. And he HAD spent the last few weeks setting up shop...might as well go and see what was going on in this little part of town while he was out and about. With his trademark grin still in place, and a sinister little chuckle, the clown ducked across the street and began making his way through the alleys and rooftops that he knew so well. If he didn't catch up to the squad car, then he'd probably run into at least someone... If they weren't at the scene, then they were keeping a fair distance from the scene. .....................................................

High Voltage Drake Elvoy Drake was relieved to see that there wouldn't be much of conflict here but he still wanted to know why Miguel was being chased. He put his arm at his side and the electricity stopped flowing threw his hand. He was terrible at this, he was more comfortable having a group around him while he interrogated people, it was just how he operated. ''Well you were obviously being chased for a reason, what happened?''He stood firmly feeling calm enough to slightly let his guard down.

Miguel sighed, there was no use lying about it now. This guy had him pinned. "Look...I'm what people would call a runaway. I'm not suppose to be out here, besides its way past curfew." he admitted and scratched the back of his head nervously, wondering how this guy was going to take it.

High Voltage Drake Elvoy Now Drake somewhat felt bad at the fact that he even charged up all that electricity. He didn't know what its like as a runaway because he had everything he ever wanted yet he didn't want it but instead wanted to be without it. The closest thing to running away was leaving a little sooner than he predicted. He sighed and then folded his arms. ''Where are you trying to go?''

Well, the guy took it better than Miguel expected but he was still hammering him with questions. "I don't know. I was thinking trying to get out of the city, like New York, DC, or even Chicago. But I don't know how that's going to happen. I guess I'm stuck here in this hellhole..." he sighed, then was int interrupted by his stomach growling.

Cassandra turned her head to see the all to fimiliar police car driving down the street. After a time one got used to the sound of sirens in Gotham, particularly in the East End. Though she was sure most of the cops here were paid off by the local gangs. Cassandra's blue eyes searched the allyways, but only briefly. She wanted to spot danger, after all, not draw it's attention.

High Voltage Drake Elvoy Drake folded his arms and contemplated what he would say next. He had no way of helping him without revealing his secret identity and its only been a few minutes... ''I believe you...but promise to lay low a little bit more, if you are a runaway they won't stop until your brought back to wherever you came from.''All he could do was give advice. Drake slowly backed out of the alleyway and into the streets again. He realized that wearing his costume might draw attention, especially in a place out here.
