- Who: Anastacia, Bernadette, and Zeke
When: September 27th, 2012; about 6pm
Where: Bernadette's office building in Aekea
Weather: Warm and sunny, quite possibly one of the last summery days left!
They pulled in a few minutes shy of the top of the hour, and when the car was stopped Zeke went into rushing mode. His day job had kept him longer than he had anticipated and although he hadn't needed to drive to Gambino to get the drop off case, a quick stop to grab a bite to eat had only delayed him more thanks to a particularly snobbish customer ahead of him. Anastacia was let out as more an afterthought than anything as the raver made his way around the car, but the Frei didn't seem to realize as she floated out into the warm end-of-summer air and cast a befuddled look to her Guardian.
She couldn't see why he was rushing. It was still well before dark and even she could see that there were lights on in the two-story white building they had parked along side of. It wasn't like the woman he had been tasked to see would have left! Zeke didn't know Bernadette from Adam but in Anya's mind, no one left an office building before sundown, so there was no reason to act crazier than usual. Still, she kept herself mum as the vet moved and grooved, and simply floated to the front of the car as Zeke collected everything he needed for the show and tell that would transpire. Granted, it wasn't much - just the case and his personal effects in case of emergency - but the vet still gave a groan and muttered a swear under his breath when he finally closed, locked, and left the car...only to realize he had left his phone sitting in the compartment under the radio.
"Okay, I have EVERYTHING now. Let's go!" Phone retrieved and pocketed inside his white doctor's coat, the mohawked doctor led the march around the side of the building to its front and through its doors there. Anastacia was only allotted a brief glance around the front lobby and its decor before Zeke hightailed it to the secretary's booth, got the information he needed, and called her to the elevator. One very short ride later - shorter than the one they had taken when Zeke had done this very task for Axel - they had reached the proper floor and Zeke was doing that confused left-right-left looking thing he did when getting off an elevator in a strange place.
"She said left...three doors down on the right..."
They went that way, coming to a full stop at the right door. Zeke blew some of his choppy bi-colored bangs out of his eyes and gave Anya a smile when he noticed the Raevan looking at him with one brow aloft.
"Just wanna look presentable," he chuckled lightly and cocked his head at her, "and not like I just ran around like a chicken with his head cut off. Do I pass, Miss Fashionista?"
When the question was posed Anastacia lowered her brow and immediately went into critical mode. It didn't take much for her to shake her head at him and speak with a tone that said she found him hopeless when it came to looking "presentable" in any way, shape, or form.
"Your tie is askew, your hair is a mess, your shoes have spots on them, and your shirt is coming free." He was given a disapproving look and the vet looked down to survey the areas he could readily see without a mirror. When he looked back up, he shrugged lightly with a grin, which irked the spider queen.
"Oops! I'll fix myself up once we're in there." Zeke was assuming that the office of the woman he was sent to meet would be set up similar to Axel's back in Barton; with a small waiting room out front and her true office just behind a wall or two. With that in mind, tidying oneself up could wait, as well as waiting for the door to open after one knocked - which the vet did after shifting the case to allow for his knuckles to rap upon the door's face.
