User ImageTifara was currently humming along while cleaning her home, it was particularly dirty for some reason today. Singing seemed to make the chore go by faster... well generally she sang while walking, cleaning... okay. Everything. She did have an angelic voice as she was often told, so nothing wrong with using what you've got. With a sudden burst of happiness she trilled out some lyrics, "At last I see the light~It's warm and real and bright. And the world has somehow shifted~" Life was good at the moment and she was settling down in the pridelands with great ease. Memories of being part of the dawnwalker tribe were slowly disappearing and being replaced with happy pridelander memories.

"Hmm," Tifara tilted her head in thought as she looked around her home. " I suppose this place could use some redecorating. What do you think?" She asked the little rabbit currently peeking through her door opening. "I agree. Maybe some flowers will help bring some lovely smells and life to this stone home of mine." Nodding at the good idea. She pack some belongings and ventured near the border lands. The best flowers were located there afterall.

User Image Roshan had been traveling for a while now, wasting his whole adolescence on travel and pursuit of females. He had great success some days because the females wanted the same thing as he. Other days, he had no success at all and even got himself into trouble. He was really harmless, but some female were not buying that these days. He had such a bold and awkward way of approaching females that really he needed to work on if he wanted to keep from inspiring that belief of being a jerk more.

When Roshan was an adol and new to the world so to speak, females had forgiven him his awkward, bold suggestions and chalked it up to him being young yet. The problem was he was not so young anymore and he needed to learn better quickly lest he get his tail handed to him by some of the more violent females around. With his mind so distracted by his predicament, the male missed the signs that he was approaching the territory of a pride. He walked up to a rock and decided to perch on it while he mulled over the things in his head. There were pretty bright flowers all about him, perhaps they would give him some good ideas.

"Laaa laa la," Tifara sang to the birds in the trees who trilled back causing her to giggle. She always enjoyed when others responded back, it was fun. She waved a tail in greeting, "Hello little birds! Lovely day is it not?" They nodded in response before flying away in what she assumed was homeward. "Goodbye!" She shouted cheerful before swaying lightly to the tune in her head. Tifara was mostly graceful by nature, but the odd times her clumsiness would show through her norm. "Oh my!" She gasped not seeing the dip in the path causing her to stumble into the path of a male lion. Tifara didn't realize she wasn't alone until she was up close and personal. "Oh! Pardon me!" Her eyes huge and blinking she took in the brightly coloured male. He sure was a handsome sort.

Roshan was just about to climb up onto the rock when he first started to hear the singing in the distance. At first it was too quiet to really make out what it was, but it steadily got closer and thus louder. The male had paused, paw still raised, and watched in the direction of the noise to see what it was. The closer it got, the clearer it became, and the more fascinated he was. Who would be out singing and making all that noise when there were herds of prey and other predators about to hear? They would scare off all the prey near by and if any predators wanted something to target, it made one a very good target to be out there singing away. He was dumbfounded to say the least. His paw never even lowered as he watched in a mix of horror and awe as the lioness came into sight and swayed as she walked.

Roshan tried to gather his thoughts enough to get his mouth to ask if she was alright, the swaying worried him, but his thoughts kept running away as soon as he caught them. There was just so much that he could not process about this situation. Of course his standing there like an idiot did not do him any good, as the female came right toward him, seemingly unaware of his presence. She ran right into him when she tripped in that little dip and the outstretched paw that had been going for the rock, moved of its own accord to catch the female. The male ended up with a female held against him with one paw. He raised an eyebrow at her. "You are certainly pardoned, miss... but exactly what were you doing?"

"Well I uh-" Tifara felt a blush slowly spread across her face in embarassment. "I was dancing and singing to be perfectly honest. It seemed like a day for it and I was on my way to pick some...flowers." She eyed the other male wearily. "Are you a pridelander? Though, to be honest I think I would remember your pelt, it is rather striking-" She hastily added while backing up a bit for more personal space. "-in a good way mind you! Like a lovely summers day." She used her front paw to brush away her long mane, it was beginning to cover her eyes. "Or are you on an adventure?" She curiously added.

Roshan was not surprised by the answer. He had known what she was doing, but he had asked just to see if she would be honest about it or realized how foolish it could be. She was on her way to pick flowers, that sounded very much like something one of the banus back home would do. When they were not hunting or tending cubs, they did things like picking flowers to decorate the dens. The male was a little curious if this female would be a good one to take back home, but no, she had mentioned something that sounded like a pride. "A Pridelander? Is that your pride the Prideland? No, I am not... I am from a distant pride."

Roshan let her take her personal space and just stood there watching her. "My pelt is a gift of my family... I have sisters much more striking than I." He did appreciate the compliment, but at the same time he knew he was not the most striking creature alive. "I guess you could call my trip an adventure... my pride requires me to find a suitable female to be mine and take her home with me... I am searching for the perfect female to compliment myself... it is a long search." He chuckled good humoredly. It had never occurred to him to force a female back with him, and being distracted enjoying all the females in the roguelands had helped keep him from the thought.

"Yes, it is." The love of her home seemed to shine through her tone and smile. "Oh? Another pride you say? Do you often wander away from your home?" Tifara wandered closer and sat for a chat. Her nose twitched as the wind brought the scent of blossoms, it wouldn't hurt to talk for a bit and then pick those flowers that were nearby. "Oh! I've never heard of that before-" She leaned closer in interest. "-it sounds awfully romantic! To be on a search for your one true love! Oh of course-" She winked. "-something worth getting is never easy!"

She pawed at the ground for a moment as a sad memory filled her mind. It had been sometime since she last thought of her step-father that, last she heard, was in the dawnwalker pride. "It must be nice to have family nearby. I sadly have none, no parents and no siblings sadly. I love little ones!" A soft smile crossed her face. "They are the future afterall and can be quite darling." Tifara shook herself mentally. The male probably didn't want to hear this. "Oh! How rude of me-" She let out a musical laugh and winked. "I am Tifara'Divina, but you can call me Tifara as my name is quite a mouthful."

Roshan nodded to himself when the female confirmed that the Prideland was her pride. It made sense that the lioness was part of a pride, since her actions if she were a rogue would have been very reckless. This further made the male feel very strongly that he must be within this pride's territory and thus why he had run into the female at all. A good pride would not have let such a beautiful, and perhaps naive, lioness go outside their lands without someone to protect her, or so the male thought. "Yes, another pride... I have not been home for some time. It is not a matter of wandering often so much as being required to leave and then not return until I have met my goal."

Roshan smiled at how the lioness reacted. It was a bit romantic, was it not? It really was true now that he thought on it. He knew not all females were taken back to the pride willingly, they had Kajiras after all, but when one was taken back willingly it was usually a matter of the male and female caring for one another very much. Love as it were might not always be exclusive to one female for a male, but it certainly was experienced. "I shall have a large family to to return to, but need to start my own soon enough... you have no male to your den? If you love little ones and desire family, one would think any male would be happy to sire cubs for you." He knew he would be. "I am Roshan'Parveneh... my family calls me Roshan."

Huh, Tifara blinked. That certainly is new. She couldn't imagine having a home and then being told to leave it until she met a requirement. "Oh I see," Though she really didn't, it just felt like the right thing to say. "A big family must be a nice thing to have. Well-" A flash of sadness crossed her fast before disappearing quickly. "-I did meet someone but then I have not seen him for many weeks. I am hoping for cross his path sometime, but until then I will live my life. If that makes any sense?" She looked sheepishly at the male lion. "You think so? Truly? It is nice to meet you... Roshan." She beamed out a delighted smile. He certainly was a nice sort; very gentlemanly. Did this make her fickle? Or had the loneliness finally caught up with her making her want some male company... Maybe it was wrong but she had enjoy things while she could.

"Would you care to join me on my walk to the flower patches?" She batted her lashes innocently. "They shouldn't be far and besides I think the scouts could come anytime soon seeing as you are a stranger on our lands. They would probably make you want to talk to the elders to see if you were enemy or wanting to join. It is a good day for a walk and a bit of company!"

"I loved having family around, but it is nice to get a small break from them." Roshan wished he could think of something to say to make the female feel better. He had managed to make her sad by bringing up the topic of a male, which apparently she wanted one but did not as of yet have one. "I am sure it will happen sooner rather than later. You are very pretty and I stand by my earlier statement." The bright lion wondered why she doubted the truth of his words. She was gorgeous, and there was no reason she should not know that already. "The pleasure is all mine, Tifara."

Roshan could say one thing about his actions today. His mother would have been proud of him for using his manners. He was sure that he probably looked awkward enough that his sisters would have teased him, though. He certainly felt awkward in the presance of this pretty lioness. "I certainly will join you for a walk to these flowers... I do not want to cause trouble for you, if I am not supposed to be here." The lion winced. Sentries were meant to keep others out, which meant he probably should not have been invading in the first place. "So long as you will not be getting yourself into trouble by keeping my company, I would be delighted."

Tara de Draiocht
"It shouldn't be too bad if we stay around the border area. They can't blame you for that and even then we are near the rogue land to make a fast get-a-way. Well, come on then and let's get walking and picking." Who knew what the day would bring and plus should could be in worse company. All Tifara knew was that she would enjoy the time she had with this bright fellow. "A way we go!" With bright happy eyes she trotted with grace towards the area she knew best, Roshan at her side.

END.
