Roland was enjoying all the luxuries of a tiny dorm like room at the moment. It was better then the hospital, but that wasn't saying much compared to the other hunters higher up then him that had small apartments. His healing had gone well enough, the scar was going to last forever, but it was better then not having an arm.

<< Training to work out the muscles? >>

"No. Not today. I'm not in the mood to fight."

<< Don't lie I know what you want to do, and trying to get Rep back through violence is not going to solve anything. I live in here, I can see what your thinking before you say it. >>

"Fine I admit it, I want to beat the hell out of Rep but I'm done, I'm done with it right now. I just want to talk to someone or pass time I don't know." He turned around moving to grab his phone sending a message out before moving to slip on a shirt before falling onto his bed again staring at the ceiling.

<< Candace does seem nice, it'll give you someone to talk to who isn't you know... all over that red head. >>

"Shut up Sylvia. Just don't mention him okay?"

Text To Candace:
Out of Labs @ my room, killing time. Hang out?
PostPosted: Tue Sep 25, 2012 5:59 pm

Candace had been on her way to check on Lance for the day when she received the text. Ah! Ro! Good, good. Out of the infirmary. She'd wanted to check on him, too. ********, she could only be in so many places at once. She still needed to go check on Petra, and bother Clarice, and hang out with Harrison, and check on Jerry...damnit! Ro. She'd check on Ro. He wanted her, he was texting her, she'd answer.

Text to Ro
Sure. On my way.

Turning on her heel, Candace headed out of the cafeteria and back to the dorms. She didn't waste time, knocking when she arrived and waiting for him to answer the door himself. Normally Candace would just let herself in...to places where she knew the person well. Molly? Yes. Jerry? Sure. Ro? Not yet.

"Ro? It's Candace."

For a moment the phone went inactive, it was left casually at his side, twitter for the most part ignored. Half the time he logged on he wanted to chew someone out on twitter. IE Rep. When the phone finally did buzz he took a moment to glance at the message before sitting up in bed. He didn't respond, he simply waited, Candace would be here soon enough.

Like clockwork his door was knocking a short while later. He hadn't moved from the side of the bed until that point tugging the door open.

"Wasn't expecting anyone else to be honest," he said in a half gloomy voice.

Why hello grumpy gus. Candace arched a brow. "Hello to you too, Sunshine." Despite her words she did sound cheerful for his benefit. Candace leaned against the door frame with a bright smile, looking Ro up and down now that she was seeing him to make sure he was okay. Everything seemed in order. He may have gotten his first scar a bit earlier than some but he was alive.

Damnit Rep. "Can I come in~?"

A slight twitch in the corner of his mouth was the only indication that he was amused by the joke. He looked okay for the most part, very much alive however tired and worn down also applied to him. Stepping back he waved his arm aside inviting Candace in.

"Not much to look at, but it's home I guess." He moved over to the desk near by, taking a seat on the side. "Sorry I didn't think much ahead of what to do once you got here... I just... I'm ******** pissed, and I don't know what to do with myself besides trying to avoid the temptation to try and kill Rep..."

He meant that last part as a figure of speech. Really. He did!

There we go, almost a smile there. That was a step toward progress. Candace pushed off the door frame and reached out to link arms with Ro as she entered the room, gently closing the door behind her with her foot and looking around as she walked away from the door. It'd been awhile since she was in a trainee's room. "I was on this floor for a year so I know what it's like. I've only been a fully ranked Hunter a little while, you know." How many months? Like..three? It felt like much, much longer. She let him go when he wanted to sit, taking a seat at the edge of his bed. "Pissed still? I don't blame you~." Candace smiled and then leaned back on her hands, her smile falling when Ro said he would kill Rep.

Normally she would be all for this.

Sure, kill Rep. Go for it. She'll hold, you punch.

Not this time.

"I want you to meet Aria." She blurted out suddenly, blushing and sitting up. "Er..I mean...like..just...when you get a chance, you should meet her. Anyway um...don't..don't say things like that right now. I can get why you hate Rep, I'm not gonna stop you, but for the moment just.."

Candace frowned. "Right now, try not to pick fights. I'm not scolding you, I'm warning you as a friend.." She paused. "...Do you want a hug?" Hopefully her offer didn't come off as mocking. Candace liked hugs. Don't judge.

The room was well, a trainee room, a desk, a bed, simple dresser and a tiny closet. Nothing at all unique about it other then the duffel bag sitting at the foot of Ro's bed. "Still better rooms then this from the one trip I took to Jordan's..." That trip hadn't ended much better then his recent fight with Rep. Free of her arm he continued to sit on the desk looking at his hands, phone forgotten over on said bed rather then in his hands. Likely he would have thrown it again for some reason if it was.

"Very pissed," he added, "I can't see Jordan without wanting to punch him, and the other half of me just wants to go back to bull-shiting with him and eating doritos without the fear of Rep trying to murder me for it."

What came next caused him to look up head tilted slightly, "Aria? She's umm... she's a mist right? I've heard some about her but not much. Why though? can she help with... all this crap?" He started to look away again shrugging a bit before turning to face her. 'Yeah as a friend, I had those... it was nice while it lasted."

He slid off the desk shuffling forward, looking down somewhat, slightly to the side of Candace before taking a seat beside her leaning over to rest his head on her shoulder. "I wish I could go back, back to just sitting around having Rep be a jerk, Jordan hanging around. I have nothing now. I thought I finally foudn a place where maybe, just ******** maybe, as long as we all didn't die horribly I could have some friends and now? Now I have you, and Ceres, I might as well be back home again in some s**t high school for the first time again."

He would accept the hug, but it felt somewhat awkward to just get up and hug her so he settled for just sitting beside her till she made the next move.

Awkward Ro turtle was awkward and still rather upset.

"You don't get a room like that until you're a Hunter. As a trainee you live here." She shrugged. "They're this barren because they're temporary housing."

Oh damn, even Jordan? Candace sighed. That wasn't good. Jordan hadn't done anything wrong. "Don't take this out on Jordan. He's a good guy, he doesn't deserve that. I'm pretty sure he gave Rep hell after what he did to you. Personally I say <******** Rep and be friends with Jordan anyway. Rep gets jealous of me sometimes, and Harrison is my best friend. He's like a child." Candace rolled her eyes. Sometimes they looked like they were getting along, and she could tolerate him well enough if he wasn't being a complete a**. Then there were Tracey's words...Rep liked their spats. She had to force back a smile at that.

It wasn't hard when Ro made it clear he had no idea who Aria was. Words that her leader had once spoken to her rang through her head. Trainees who didn't know they even had a leader or who she was.. "Yes, she is..a Mist. Yes, she can help. She's our division lead. A very good teacher who doesn't give herself enough credit...I admire and respect her more than anyone else on this island. So yes, I think you should visit her. She's been really stressed out lately." For very good reason. But right now Ro was being a little too negative for Candace's taste. Friends were nice while they lasted? Seriously? This was too much. Even Candace still had friends after her ******** ups, even Jerry still had friends.

She was quiet even as Ro came and sat by her to put his head on her shoulder, wrapping an arm around his waist and tilting her head to one side to rest it against his. Candace let him rant, her eyes on the wall opposite of them. He was taking this too harshly. "Not to...sound cruel, or harsh..but I think you're taking this too hard." Candace frowned. Delicate territory. Tread cautiously, Candace. "When something like this happens, what you need to do is get up, brush the dirt off...and kick his a** later. When you're stronger. My first spar with Rep I kicked him in the nuts and then accidentally knocked him unconscious. I could name a whole bunch of spars where I did the same thing Rep did to you, actually. It..it happens...but you can't let it..er..." She couldn't think of how to word it.

Sighing, Candace lifted her arm away from his waist to idly toy with Ro's hair. "Be better than Rep. You are better than Rep, right? You're not afraid of him, you have no reason to be afraid of him. You can be friends with whoever you damn well please. You're brand new, you don't have much fighting experience under your belt, Rep does." Suddenly she stopped. It couldn't just be because of a fight with Rep. Or losing it. Or the fact that he just..left him. Rep did something to make this worse...

"Talk to me. Vent. Do something. Anything. You can even use violence, I don't care." Candace was suddenly very serious. Ro was being so grumpy, so mopey. She was not going to see a repeat of Cass.

"Let it out. Now. Yell, scream, throw things. Just do it. I want to see how you're feeling right now."

"Yes because talking to Jordan while he's sitting right beside Rep during poker is a good idea, talking to him when Rep shadows him like hawk. Not worth it right now." Shifting about on the edge of the bed he crossed his arms still resting against her. He didn't want to talk to Jordan, not yet. Even if he did owe him for dragging him off the training course along with Candace.

"Sorry if I should have known about Aria, I mean. There is still a ton of things I don't know about this place..." He shrugged slightly again, he would go, but he didn't see how adding himself to Aria's plate would help with what ever stress she was going through.

"Because what he said actually hurt. I've gone from school to school, I've had a s**t family and nothing worth caring about besides living to see another day. I finally start to feel happy about something and he goes and ruins it. Rips me apart, as a person, I couldn't stand it." Suddenly he was pulling away getting up to pace across the room.

"He laughed Candace, he laughed as he stomped on my shoulder crushing it into the dirt and making the wound worse." He snorted, "Not even half what you deserve!" His faked scottish impression terrible, but pure venom dripped from it. There was a thud as Sylvia appeared in his hand, the butt of the scythe slamming down against the wood floor.

"WHY?! BECAUSE I BOTHERED TO GIVE A ******** ABOUT YOU!?" He suddenly turned bringing Sylvia across and down through the desk in an explosion of wood splinters, the blade lodged into the floor. With a tug he ripped Sylvia free. "I TRUSTED JORDAN, I BELIEVED WHAT HE SAID ABOUT THAT b*****d! AND IT WAS ALL BULLSHIT!" He turned to the desk again bringing Sylvia across it again taking the two chunks and cleaving them apart. He spun the scythe about one last time slamming it home in the floor again hissing shaking from head to toe, on closer inspection it seemed as though at some point he started to cry.

"I ******** liked that idiotic p***k... I ******** trusted him..."

Candace didn't say anything. This was Ro's vent session. Let him rant, rave, yell, throw things. Let him do it without her trying to offer up reason. Trying to argue that his feelings were wrong would just turn his anger at her and that was the last thing Candace wanted. Rep had laughed? That a*****e. What did Jordan and Harrison even see in him? Harrison was an a*****e himself so that wasn't as much of a question, but Jordan? Everyone spoke as if Jordan was Rep's keeper. Rep shouldn't need a keeper he should be able to keep his own self under control. He lacked the most basic manners, he just got people angry who then turned to Jordan like he had to do something about it. Candace wouldn't be able to handle that..

She winced when Ro sliced his desk in half, raising an arm to block any flying splinters. Well, now he was out of a desk. Way to go, Ro. Still, Candace said nothing. Even as Ro cried, as much as she wanted to hold him, she just sat there with a small frown.

Was that all? Was he done? "...This isn't Jordan's fault." Candace finally spoke, her voice gentle and somewhat cautious. "He...apparently sees something in Rep that none of us see. I don't understand it myself..." She sighed, pushing off the bed to stand and walk up to Ro. Candace was careful as she approached the upset boy with the scythe, not wanting to meet the same fate as his desk. "Feeling any better? I wanted you to do this because holding it in just means you'll explode later when it becomes too much, and it could happen at the most inopportune time.." Was that selfish? A little...but she did care. Heh, she did tell Aria that caring and selfishness went hand in hand.

"Is there anything I can do for you right now, Ro?"

Sylvia remained stuck in the floor, though Ro made no move to let go of the weapon instead he slowly slipped down to his knees letting the weapon drop with him a moment later. For a while he just stared at the splintered halves of his desk. He wasn't upset about the desk, he was numb for the most part.

"It is. It's because I hang out with him that Rep did all of this, it was always about Jordan. i was too close to Jordan, and I listened to what he said about Rep. I believed what he said and this is what it resulted in."

A broken desk, a scarred chest, broken trust, and bitter feelings. He continued to remain there, just kneeling beside the broken desk rubbing at his eyes before Sylvia vanished in a flicker of mist that quickly faded away. "Barely..." He mumbled from where he sat on his knees.

"Top drawer, behind the shirts." When Candace went to explore the drawer she would find a half empty bottle, it was fairly dusty as if it had been in the room for a while before Ro found it, someone who lived in the room before him had clearly enjoyed drinking at some point. There was also three glasses, two unharmed, and one with a faint crack down the side.
PostPosted: Mon Oct 01, 2012 10:33 pm

"That's not fair, Ro. Jordan did nothing to deserve blame. He did nothing wrong, you did nothing wrong. The two of you simply want to be friends." Candace was somewhat relieved to see Sylvia return to her totem form, rubbing her temple and shaking her head. Damnit, Rep. Such a ******** child. What was his problem? Couldn't Jordan have friends? Rep, you moron.

Barely was better than nothing. Candace knelt down beside Ro, her hand on his back to give it a comforting rub. "Let it out, okay? Healthier than holding it in, just remember that. Sure, I'll do that." What did he want in the drawer? Standing again, Candace walked across the small room to check the drawer. She stopped when her fingers hit something hard and made of glass. The item wasn't removed, her hand grasped it and then followed its shape.

This was a bottle.

Candace removed her hand and closed the drawer with a resounding snap, turning back to Ro with no bottle in her hands. "No."

"Fine maybe, whatever, it still doesn't make it hurt any less to know that just being friends with someone was grounds to kill me like some psychotic jealous girlfriend." He flinched ever so slightly at the rub of his back before settling down a bit more still sitting on his knees.

"I'm just... tired. And upset. I don't know what to do with myself and I just keep getting frustrated this whole place is frustrating," he didn't watch her, simply listened still staring at his mangled desk as she snapped the drawer shut.

"No bottle?" He said somewhat disappointed. "I didn't do that, the half missing. It was like that when I found it." It was the only defense he had, but it was the truth, till now he hadn't touched it, right now however just felt like a good time to have a drink after a cry and smashing his desk into pieces.

This place was frustrating. It made Candace very grateful they were given a few days a month to leave it each month...unless the portals were locked down for some reason or another. This always happened. They were stuck on the island with nowhere to go, tensions got high and people went crazy. Angry, crazy, annoying..it was ridiculous. They needed these leave days. "I think you'll feel better when you finally have those two days you can leave the island and distance yourself from it..."

At Ro's disappointment over her refusing to get the drink for him Candace shook her head. "I'll drink with you, but not when you're like this. Social drinking, I'll do that. I'm not going to enable you to drink alcohol when you're like this." She'd watched Jerry ******** himself over far too much drinking when he was upset. She didn't want to risk letting Ro do that to himself. "Is there anything else I can do instead of this?"

Roland let out another sigh, "Sadly portals are dead, and... do I even get time like that as a trainee?" He shrugged a bit, "I figured I don't get much in the form of perks." Looking at his desk again he shifted backwards dropping to his rear and moving back a bit to lean against his bed staring at the wreck that was his desk.

For a moment he sat there just simply watching the desk as if it would suddenly not be broken. Sadly it did not. Eventually he looked to Candace shrugging, "Well... I guess... we owe each other a drink. When I'm not... a horrible blubbering pathetic desk smashing mess."

He frowned, "Also I guess... I need directions how to get a new desk..." he sighed once more slumping back. "I'm an idiot..."
