Raven has been through a lot he is socially awkward in crowds. He assumes you hate him when you first meet him. The reason for this is he assumes you know how he is and wear he comes from the Myrsky's are not a well loved family, respected but mostly hated. Raven has major trust issues and sometimes forgets a team mentality if he gets scared. Deep down Raven means well and wishes to be the best hero he can be but there are some things he is going to have to be trained out of.
Once you get to know him and have convinced him you do not hate him. Raven is sweet and caring like he always wished to be. Looking to make a new family where ever he may find one. He wants nothing more to be accepted and happy.
Before the run in with his Grandfather:
Raven had a lot more backbone he had to or he was going to get trampled. He was often thrown into dangerous situations that someone his age should never have been in. He was angry a lot having to go against the teachings of his grandmother which he wished to follow much more then that of his grandfather. The family was based on loud argument specially where the males were concerned. And the more Raven saw the more he hated himself and his family for what they were doing. He got ever more angry till it bubbled up and against his better judgement he let is spill over and his voice be heard. Getting hit by a fire ball to the face and ending up on the street majorly affected who Raven is today.
