Eyes: Dark brown with a distant or thoughtful expression until you get his attention.
Hair: Shoulder length wildly curly dark brown hair, grey hairs are obvious in contrast. Often sports a mustache or a beard of some sort.
Build: Clearly built for endurance and trained to persevere.
Skin: Sun-damaged; tan, rough, and freckled.
Personality:
Pugnacious: Inclined to quarrel or fight readily; quarrelsome; belligerent; combative. When Angus thinks he's singled out a worthy opponent, it is imperative that he brawl with him. He will do anything he can to provoke his victim, but it is never a malicious event. Those close to him may believe it's a game. Most of the time a bond is formed as a result of the brawl; whether or not the victim is aware of it.
Magnanimous: Generous in forgiving an insult or injury; free from petty resentfulness or vindictiveness. Angus is not a bitter man. He never holds a grudge, and he never marks anyone as a foe.
Sentimental: Expressive of or appealing to sentiment, especially the tender emotions and feelings, as love, pity, or nostalgia. This is a feature of his he prefers to keep hidden, but it's painfully obvious when he comes across a garden or a rose.
Rigorous: Rigidly severe or harsh in discipline and rules. Angus is especially disciplinary whenever he takes the roll of a father figure. He's unforgiving and stubborn wherever there is misbehavior. It is an often misunderstood expression of love. He tends to ignore the people who appear more delicate (particularly women and girls), for fear of breaking them.
History:
Was arranged to marry (sickly) Mabel since birth, and did so at the age of 15, and he quickly grew to love her. His first child was a miscarriage, his second was a daughter, Rose, born when he was 18 years old. Obtained Berne when he was 28, Mabel died of 'a sickness' when he was 29, Rose decided to live with Mabel's sister (Anna). Angus was heartbroken, but didn't deny her that opportunity. For three lonely years, Angus has lived with his dog, a widower. An experienced archer, he respectfully hunts game in and around the wardwood, making use of the meat and pelts. Mabel was very fond of herbs and flowers and their medicinal properties. They remind Angus of her. Angus has a nice sized scar on his palm; a result of an archery accident when he was an amateur. Also lived through an attack from a wild beast (raccoon/weasel) in the wilderness, sports some scars from the incident. One time after a hunt, he came down with a serious illness. Mabel said it was the spirits, and to leave offerings next time he hunted. He thought that was a silly idea, and didn't listen to her. The next time he brought home game, his wife fell ill and died. Now he leaves offerings religiously in fear the spirits might take his daughter or his dog.
