Description:

The main purpose of this talent is to create shadow where there is none.

Shadow-Gangers


Krona summons shadow-gangers: mindless, blind minions formed from the shadow, and infused with the element of their summoner, which, in this case, is air. Krona can command these creatures to attack mindlessly, or can dispel their shape and use their shadow for other attacks.

Attack Details


Attacks by shadow gangers cause minor damage that mostly affects speed. The gangers either hand-to-hand melee attack, or do a ranged attack in which they swing their arms like a sword and create blades of air that can slice through light armor, and skin. When destroyed, their shadow energy is tranferred to Krona, and she recieves a one point boost for each one in play for the stat of her choice for three posts.

Energy Costs

•5 cost in energy, with a maximum of three gangers at Rank E-Rank B, and Five at Rank A and above. At Rank SSS Krona can summon more than five, but with double the energy cost for each additional one (10 Energy). The Number of Gangers cannot exceed 10. Gangers summoned after 10 cost a ridiculous 100 energy.

•5 energy per post for as long as the gangers are in play, both in ganger and in shadow form

Rules

•Maximum of three gangers at Rank E-Rank B, and Five at Rank A and above. At Rank SSS Krona can summon more than five, but with double the energy cost for each additional one (10 Energy). The Number of Gangers cannot exceed 10. Gangers summoned after 10 cost a ridiculous 100 energy.

•Gangers can be dispelled with three strikes. In shadow form, they are bit harder to dispel: they can be dispelled instantly with an elemental attack, or with an light attack.

Shadow-Weres


Unlike Shadow-Gangers, shadow-Weres are strictly for attack purposes; they cannot be dispelled to create shadow. However, they can be used as a shield, forming a wall between Krona and her opponent. They are smarter than Shadow-Gangers, attacking with purpose and technique, or according to Krona's command, but they are still blind, and rely on other senses to fight.

Attack Detail


Shadow-Weres can either melee attack with claws that can slice though light to medium armor and skin, or range attack with a roar that creates air waves that cause no damage, but can disorient or knock down the opponent, depending on his or her strength. When destroyed, they created a shadow shield that lowers the rank of attacks by one rank. The sheild lasts for two posts.

Energy Cost

•Shadow-Weres are 10 energy in cost

•10 energy per post as long as they are in play, both in attack and defense mode

Rules

•Maximum of three Weres in play at Rank E-Rank B, and Five at Rank A and above. At Rank SSS Krona can summon more than five, but with double the energy cost for each additional one (20 Energy). The Number of Gangers cannot exceed 10. Weres summoned after 10 cost a ridiculous 200 energy.

•Weres can be dispelled with fewer strikers than a ganger, two, but since weres are more intelligent than gangers, hitting them is tricky. In defense form, they take the same amount of strikes to dispel: three.

A double-tailed whip of the same color of her aura: Wine. Veins of white and Black weave from its "heart" at the base of the handle and dance along to the ends of the tails.

One lash is 7 feet long for a distance, attacks; the other is just three feet in length, can be used for strangulation. Because of its shadow-infused nature, the whip does not make the cracking sound of traditional whips; it is silent, other than the faint sound of rushing air that can only be detected by the most trained or sensitive of ears.

If she is directly confronted, or revealed, the lashes take opposite ends of the handle, then harden and thicken to form a double bladed staff, one end long for slashes and ?, the other sort or quick jabs, and cuts.

Weapon Skills - Just but they Evolve with Krona, rising in rank as she does.

Regenerate:

If the tails are sliced off or the blades are broken, they will regenerate in the next post, unless it is struck at the "heart" which is a black and white swirled spot at the base of the whip.

Air Stampede:

Krona sweeps the blade in a circle about her, or cracks the whip in an arc. A stream of pressurized air is created, that hurtles toward its opponent at blinding speeds. At close range it causes a rank higher damage, and a distance a rank lower. If the opponent is of equal or lesser level than Krona, it also knocks them down and disorients them for one post. If the opponent is of a higher level, it simply disorients them for one post.


a r m o r:

Krona leather is composed primarily of light leather: thigh-high leather boots, a flowing leather skirt, and a red-leather corset. All are infused with shadows, and provide extra protection against light attacks.

Her primary piece of armor, however, is the cloak she wears. The cloak is made of a sturdy cloth, lined with leather. It provides excellent light protection reducing damage from light attacks by one rank. With a cost of a 7 energy she can manipulate this cloak to shield her from attacks. However, the cloak is fairly heavy, so unless she removes it for battle it reduces her speed by 2 points.

Soul Sense
RANK E
Skill Type: Passive
A trademark skill of all Dark Avengers, Soul Sense grants them the ability to sense all souls in their visible vicinity. Soul Sense shows a Dark Avenger each soul's distinctive characteristics -it's color, aura, size and power. Soul Sense reveals a character's Primary Element, and their Rank to the Dark Avenger. At the rank of Master, Soul Sense extends to a Dark Avenger's sense of smell and spans the breadth of a nation, and by Hero a Dark Avenger's every sense can be used to identify a soul throughout Rykros.


Soul Mark

Skill Type: Active
By focusing on a creature that he/she can sense in the area for 2 posts, a Dark Avenger can mark their soul, enabling the Dark Avenger to track them with ease. Once a soul is marked, a Dark Avenger can see it through walls and sense its location over great distances. By the rank of Master, a Dark Avenger needs only focus on their Mark for one post to see it anywhere on Rykros. This skill requires no energy. Only one Soul Mark is permitted at any given time, and Marking another soul while a Mark is currently active replaces the old mark with the new.


Precision Strike
RANK E
Using their agility and dexterity, a Dark Avenger makes a single surgical attack against their target. If the target is currently the Dark Avenger's Marked Soul, it does damage as if it were one rank higher.


Track
RANK E
Skill Type: Active
Like all skilled hunters, a Dark Avenger learns to track their prey based on sight, scent, smell, touch, and taste. A Dark Avenger must take one post to focus on their targets trail before they can effectively track them, and cannot do so while running until they've reached the rank of Master. If a Dark Avenger is attacked while they are tracking a target, the trial is lost and they must take another post to get back on their quarry's trail. Tracking a Marked Soul is easy for a Dark Avenger, and requires no post to pick up their trail (if they have traveled nearby).If a Dark Avenger is attacked while tracking, they must spend two posts after the encounter to get back on the trail.


Move Silently
RANK E
Skill Type: Active
A Dark Avenger is a skilled fighter, but most effective when he utilizes the element of surprise. By moving carefully and distributing their weight from the heel to the ball of their feet, a Dark Avenger can move without making any noise. While Moving Silently, a Dark Avenger cannot run, jump or perform any similar acrobatic feats, and when they make an attack the skill's benefits end. If a Dark Avenger has been detected, Move Silently has no effect

Feral Leap
RANK D
A Dark Avenger is most lethal their instincts thrust them at their enemies. When behind his enemy, a Dark Avenger can make a running leap to strike with their weapon and knock their pray off their feet. If the Dark Avenger's strike hits, their foe is knocked prone. A prone foe requires one post to stand upright through non-magical means. This skill has a three post cooldown.


Feint
RANK D
A Dark Avenger begins a seemingly direct attack towards their target, but feints at the last moment leaving their target vulnerable and open to attack. A feint begins as a normal attack. If the target of the feint attempts to block, counter or otherwise interact with the Dark Avenger's attack, the Dark Avenger's following post initiates the feint and strike. Targets that are effectively deceived by a feint attack receive a circumstantial -3 penalty to their Speed for all attempts to Dodge or Block any incoming attacks during their next post. This skill has a three post cool down.

Shadow Step
RANK: D
The first true power a Dark Avenger attains from its pact with the Dark Plane is also one of their most versatile. Having shunned Light from their lives, a Dark Avenger may pass freely between the Material Plane and the Shadow World by simply stepping into a shadow or dark area. While using Shadow Step, a Dark Avenger travels great distances, and has the ability to take others, willing or otherwise, along for the ride by maintaining physical contact with them. Past a single passenger, every additional traveler costs an additional 50 energy, as does taking a creature against their will. Beings of higher rank than the Dark Avenger cannot be taken against their will via Shadow Step. Shadow step may only be used once per post.

Black Blood Skills

To initiate this attack, the user must firstly cut himself/herself in the wrist, exposing the Black Blood. Then through a simple flick of the wrist or flinging of the arm, the pooled blood is sent flying rapidly towards the opponent, while the Black Blood exerts its control over the itself forcing itself to harden so as to create a crescent shaped projectile blade


Bloody Bullet

When the user's finger is pricked, they are able shoot out a hardened bullet of their blood at the opponent, though, it can only come from 1 finger and the number of fingers rise as the rank rises as well by two, though once you've reach all of the fingers on your hands, the number will raise no higher.

p e r s o n a l i t y: Fundamentally, Krona's goal is to protect the innocent, and deliver justice. But her goal has been twisted into an obsession by her natural insanity, and her ways of securing it are often twisted. She is kindness, hidden by darkness, and tainted by her steel-like determination and discipline, her lust for battle, and her extremely narrow-minded views on what is right, and what is wrong.

【.background information.】

One would be shocked at the simple beginnings. She was not born into a childhood of abuse, or hardship, or bloodshed, as one would assume one of her class and race began. Krona was born into a life of near perfection. Her family...of merchants. They were not wealthy, but their business generated enough money to allow her parents, and her two siblings - an older sister, and her twin brother - to live a comfortable life, typical to those of her class. Her own was different, in that - rather than attend finishing school, as was expected of girls, she disguised herself as a boy (with the help of lies from her family, who did not hold the typical mindset toward females) and attended to local mercenary school. Her steel-hard determination and work ethic impressed her teachers and classmates, and she graduated the school at 15 top of her class.

At this time, hardship had fallen upon her family, so rather than join her family's mercenary business, she sought richer prospects with other mercenary companies. The biggest of the mercenary companies, who knew of and was impressed by, her nearly flawless school record, hired her as a low level trader. She excelled in this position, and she began moving up the ranks. And she rose she saw. Witnessed the corruption of the business she was in.

This was the root of her obsession with justice. Soon, she grew sick of witnessing he injustice, and, gathering other like-minded mercenaries, led a campaign against the company, both the lawful - delivering reports and information to officials - and lawless - burning down warehouses, or using manipulation and blackmail to expose the leaders of the company.

Her campaign was close to victory...and then betrayal caused it failure. Her own family, sold her out. She, and the others in her campaign, disappeared quietly.

As did her memories of the time.

She only recalls only snippets of living horror, a fragmented night mare of twisted experiments, blood, death, and above it all, a voice, tempting, promising her the power to get vengeance on her family, and bring justice not only to those who suffered beneath the oppression of the mercenaries, but to all who would harm the innocent.

Waking is her only distinct memory. Then:

A memory dark and she shadow she thrives on...

A chance?

No, another chance. The voice whispered.

Another chance. An opportunity t bring down the hammer of justice on the heads of the family that betrayed me in greed, the mercenaries that hurt others in greed, and on all others who would dare harm others for their own gain.

"Yes, I'll take it."

The voice chuckled, a high, scratchy sound that had me cringing. It's cackle grew louder upon seeings this - how it say, I do not know - and it said, in that low, velvety voice,

"Don't be so hesitant...your task is very simple. You don't even have to raise a finger to do it. You only have to sing."

That was all? I had expected something far more...dramatic. Perhaps slaughter a child or sacrifice the soul of an innocent.

....Sing? A task that was simple, and almost innocent sounding. Yet, there was something foreboding in the voice, a sort of sinister delight behind the words that told me that there was far more to the request than simply singing.

There had to be something more to it. It could not be that simple.

"...that is all? Are you sure? You don't want a sacrifice...or an offering?"

"You are willing to kill, but you are not willing to sing? You must have a twisted sense of morals..."

I continued to inisist, questioning, proding, hoping that the voice would reveal it's true intentions. But no matter my insistence, it would not tell me. There were many things it would not tell me. It's name, what it was, why it wanted to help me. When I asked it was silent, when I persisted it became annoyed.

So, I stopped asking, and just did.

I sang. Belted my voice till it filled the rounded chamber, till it echoed off the molded brick walls. Till I could feel the waves from my voice shudder though me...and seize me.

My words, pure, sweet, telling of ?, twisted into something unknown. Words in a language that I did not know, in a voice that was not my own, but dark, richer, baritone woven with something sinister, began to fall from my lips. I let loose a noise of surprise, and tried to close my mouth.

I could not. Panic, snaked up in me, as my voice continued of its own will, seperate from my body continuing on far beyond where lack of breath should have cut it silent.

And, each word began to bring destruction, and shadow. From my limbs, darkness began to roll. It spilled from my arms and finger tips, out from my chest, swirled from my legs. It gathered, a massive cloud that swirled about me smothering out every sense. No sight, no sound, no touch...only hearing.

And terrible things I did hear.

I heard screams. Twisted, keening shreiks, that pierced my ears, sent pain through them, making me wish i was also deaf. Screams of children, men, women.

I heard mighty crashes, the type that might come from a boulder crashing into the ground, only by the hundreds, mixing together into an orchestra of destruction.

I heard a wind, a high shattering whistle that rose above the screams the crashes, as though a storm were tearing through.

And above it all I heard my voice, baritone, sinister rising steadily through the notes, low to high, till it reached the highest, shattering, shaking note...

Then silence. Then darkness.

I woke to nothing. Literally, nothing.

I was lying in the middle of a barren wasteland. Gone was the chamber I had began the ritual in. Gone were fields of lush grass, and bright flowers I had jouneyed through; in their place was black ash, and hideous gray rock. Gone were the trees, lush and full; blacked stick corpses stood in their place. Gone were the sounds of life: the footsteps of tiny creatures, the gurgle of water running over rocks in a stream, the shouts of play and work from a village in the distance; a eclipsing silence reigned.

Death reigned.

And the scary thing was...I didn't care.

I wanted to care...but I simply didn't. I had what I wanted. I had the tools I needed to deliver justice.

Krona wraps the whip tightly about enemy. If the enemy is of equal or lesser rank than Krona, he or she is immoblized for one post, and 2 strength and 20 energy are transferred to Krona. If the enemy's rank is higher than Krona's, they have the option to break free. If they fail, 1 strength and 10 energy are transferred to Krona. 8 Post Cool-Down.

Krona jams the blade into the enemy and their blood is infused into the weapon, and remains their for 3 posts. Damage against the enemy is one rank higher as long as the blood is within the weapon. One the three posts are up, the blood is stored within the base of the weapon. If the whip is broken in battle the blood is used to regenerate the weapon, without any cost in stats or insanity to Krona. Once the battle is over, or if the weapon is broken again, Krona must regenerate it with her own blood, with normal consequences to stats and insanity.

Rp Sample:

Her fingers wrapped about her whip. As the guards raised their blades, she drew her whip and cracked it in an arc. With the silence of silk over skin, it cracked though the air. For a second nothing, then red. heads snapped back, gurgles tore from lips, and blood sprayed from throats sliced by her whips tail. Three bodies crumpled, amidst cries of pain and anger, three more rushed at her, now to close for her to wield her whip against them. A blade fell from the air. More red, her own blood, arched through the air from a cut on her arm. She saw he arm was cut, but could not feel the sting.

Quickly she made use of it, hardening and tapering the liquid as it fell from the air, to form tiny spikes. She sent those spiraling toward her attacker. He dropped into a defensive stance, legs spread and bent at the knee sword-blade flat before his face. All the spikes but one crashed and splashed, harmless, against his blade. But one rang true, and drove through and exposed portion of his arm. The blade fell from his hand, a curse tore from his lips.

Robes whipping, she leapt back, once, twice ,again, pulling back as they pulled forward. Her wrist flicked, once, twice, three times, and with each flick her lips uttered a word. The air gatherer behind each powerful, silent crack of the whip, and its particles rushed forward in an Air Stampede.

It struck true, smashing into the stomachs of the incoming guards. At such close range the attack was somewhat devastating. They stumbled, the impact from the pressurized air having scrambled thought and movement, and delivering a blow similar to a fist plunged into the stomach. Two let out terrible, juciy coughs spraying blood from their lips. The third recovered quickly, and lept forward swing his blade in an arc before him, aiming to slice her in two.

As his blade fell, her whip cracked. Blade and tail met; and blade slice clean through the tail.

(( ok, in reality sucha simply attack would not harm her whip...but this is just for purposes of demonstating the regen.)

A satisfied, grin crossed the guards face, and she locked eyes with Krona; hislips were upturnedina smirk. Krona's expression did not ripple. She only returned the smirk, and cracked her whip again...and the tail, that had just been sliced off rippled out as the whip cracked, new, identical to the one before it.


(( Ive noticed that most people list all their weapon skills, for all ranks . Could I post skills for just a few ranks, and then add skills for the other ranks at a laster time))

Shadow-Weres can either melee attack with claws that can slice though light to medium armor and skin, or range attack with a roar that creates air waves that cause no damage, but can disorient or knock down the opponent, depending on his or her strength. When destroyed, they created a shadow shield that lowers the rank of attacks by one rank. The sheild lasts for two posts.

Energy Cost

•Shadow-Weres are 10 energy in cost

•10 energy per post as long as they are in play, both in attack and defense mode

Rules

•Maximum of three Weres in play at Rank E-Rank B, and Five at Rank A and above. At Rank SSS Krona can summon more than five, but with double the energy cost for each additional one (20 Energy). The Number of Gangers cannot exceed 10. Weres summoned after 10 cost a ridiculous 200 energy.

•Weres can be dispelled with fewer strikers than a ganger, two, but since weres are more intelligent than gangers, hitting them is tricky. In defense form, they take the same amount of strikes to dispel: three.

Description:

Krona's senses, sharpened by her Class, and her own training, are able to detect the pattern of fighter. She can hear, and see, and feel the rhythm with which they fight, and as such can better avoid their attacks.

Details.

She can learned the rhythm in three posts and tracks it by hissing. Knowing a fighter's rhythm provides her +2 boost to speed. However, because this talent requires a bit of concentration, she suffers a -1 blow to strength.
