  - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ARCHERY RULESAt the start of Day One knights and men-at-arms begin to enter their names into the draw. When the herald calls their name, the Knight must be ready to SHOOT. The goal of this game is to get the highest score with a single shot. Each participant will generate a random number between 1 and 500. Each participant may only generate one random number in this thread, and anyone who generates more will be disqualified. After a certain time is passed I will announce the winner and the restart of a new bout! If posts are deleted inside of these threads then the combatant will be disqualified. To Shoot: Post in this thread. Generate a number between 1 and 500. That's it, you're done!

Lady Myst of the kingdom of Sweden hereby come to participate in this archery competition. "How ridiculous that so many knights that think the bow is a peasants weapon, it has served me faithfully for many years." MystMist picks up her longbow, takes aim and shoots.

"Seems like my bow is a bit moody today, very well we will do better the next bout." MystMist loosens and packs up her string and puts her longbow in it's leather case and walks away.

Lady Para haughtily stalked in. "Hmph, the skill is not bad... It'll be an easy win for me today." How could she not win? She had bought the most expensive bow and arrows, and she'd had private lessons since she was 2.
She winked cheekily at the competition, or lack thereof, and raised her bow... and-- zing! The arrow flew. She didn't look at where the arrow landed until she heard that satisfying thunk of arrow into wood.

Lady Para smirked. She payed no mind that she had only done slightly better than average, only that she had won over the competition. "There! That's what you get for trying to compete with me." Ugh, what were those commoners thinking! Those upstarts!

Lady Violet sighed. When she had been told there would be bows, she thought they'd be of the musical variety. 'Might as well try while I'm here,' she thought to herself as she picked up the longbow that someone must have thought to bring with her. Likely it was her father. The lady took a deep breath and released the arrow. At least the thwack of the weapon was satisfaction enough.

"Can't say I didn't try!" Lady Violet exclaimed. In actuality, she had not tried. Musical bows were much more to her liking, and here was proof. What was her father thinking? Making her compete in such ways! It was absurd!

Lady Calea had no idea why she was even there. Her seemingly good friend had pushed her out of the stands and into the competition; and before she knew it, she was given a bow and arrow to hold.
"H..how does this thing even work..?" She fiddled around with the arrow in her grasp and clumsily released the object skywards. The crowd and all the participants quickly grabbed hold of anything that could shield their heads.
"Umm... oops..." She then looked up to her companion. Gurdy, I swear I am going to get you for embarrassing me this much!

Lady Kiss (Well, that's an adorable name..) haphazardly picked up the bow she found at her feet. It was the same as every other bow she supposed, although her knowledge of archery was minimal to say the least.
Unlike most of the other contenders in this competition she had decided to join mostly for the fun of it. It wasn't everyday one got the excuse to shoot an bow and arrow in a dress after all.
Kiss picked up the bow in what she assumed was the correct position, closed her eyes and let loose.

She opened her eyes just in time to watch her bow shoot off the intended path. Giggling, she took a bow and waved to crowd hoping at least one fine lady would hit the bullseye.
