We aren't very active, and the few who are I appreciate very much but the inactivity is rather sad. We can try to make it more active again or I can sell it. Which do y'all think I should do?

Sell it? No D: I say we try and get this place up and running again. More games/contests to liven it up. I mean, such a wonderful guild so many friends we've made here and to just sell it? That would be the worst thing ever. We just have to try and be more active. Find some time to post and interact with each other more often.

I have to agree with Lunchbox, seems a damn shame to actually just sell it. I mean, if it dies, either way we will preserve our memories, selling it is like overwriting everything. Nothing will be the same if it ever gets sold.

I have to agree with the 2 previous posts. I would hate to see this guild sold, granted I haven't very active recently. Still, I hope that there's someway we can liven the guild up.

I can understand, trust me. I am just tired of having to shell out hundreds of thousands of gold to people who only come simply for that. If they were regulars I wouldn't mind but when we do contests, if the prize isn't big then people won't come and when it is and they do, it usually goes to people who only came for that and we never see them again.
I'm going to give it two months, if the guild hasn't livened up by then, then I am most likely going to sell it. In the mean time in an effort to help bringing it back to life I am going to start weekly and monthly contests for the most active users. Hopefully this will help.

I've noticed that it isn't very active. I would hate to see it sold, but there is only a few of us active at all.
And shelling out money only to see stranger come in and take it is BS. :/
I agree with seeing if we can liven it up, but if we can't, why don't we just clean it? I could help. Just delete everyone that isn't active and get new people.
If that can't work...well there's no point in keeping a dead guild. We could always start fresh some other time and see what we can do. We can all pitch in ^^
I understand keeping memories is good, but the poor thing would just be there to re-read whenever people felt like it xP

Maybe try a few hang out events instead of just contest events? Things like..... meet ups, doing gaia events together, or random day events. Too bad trick or treating and caroling in towns might be out this year. It would have been fun to do it as a guild.

Every time we have tried a 'hang out' it has failed miserably. I will see about shaking things up though.
That reminds me, please go through the sub-forum and let me know if there are any topics you want kept. I will be doing a massive cleaning soon and will be deleting every topic that has not been spoken for.

I'm liking what moon is saying, about cleaning the guild. and what if, the contests are held for regulars only?? Maybe send out an announcement and say that future contests prize will only be given to members that are active or something of the sort.

I agree with Sassy. Only holding contests for the regulars only would give incentive to others to stay active. But at the same time, how would you measure that and would people just stick around enough to get stuff?
Still, it would be better to try. Another way could be to send out an announcement about the clean out and tell people to contact you if they want to stay. If they don't, they go because either they didn't care or no longer get online. I've done this for several of my guilds before and gave people a time limit in which to contact me.

Well, how about for the "regular rule" you have to be active for a certain period of time before the contest. Say there is contest in halloween, members would have to be active since the month before or something. and I second the motion that Moon said, about sending out the announcement that the guild is being cleaned, and if they care, they'll message, if not, they don't and should be deleted.

Well that would be covered by the weekly/monthly contest, the winner would be whoever is the most active during that time frame.
And I was already going to do the announcement and cleansing. It's going to take a while, I think we have over six thousand members, at least we did last I checked.

I could help? Though that is still a lot of people, I could help sort though and get rid of people who don't reply.
There might even be people that never posted, which happens a lot. Those people aren't really worth waiting to see if they want to be here xP If they never posted, chances are they still won't. I could sort through and whoever never posted even once i could go ahead and clean out.
Tis up to you though. I love helping and most of my guilds/friends guilds I've had to clean up at least once xD
New games would be nice. Something to liven things up. And the ones that everyone loves could be started over that way it's not a jumble.
*just throwing in random stuff now >.< *

I was going to say the same thing about the members that havent posted at all, just deleting them would be best, since they haven't taken an interest in posting, it most likely that they wont even after the announcement was sent. What kind of games though? I have a few ideas, but they all revolve on either music or the shows I watch.
