The show premiered a night or two ago, has anyone seen it?

It's about the power in the world just going off, all the electricity stops working. Within one night there's no more internet, no cars, no refrigerator, no media, no phones, no way of communicating with someone states away, no government influence really.

The first episode was pretty good, but it also got me thinking about what people would do without electricity. I think it would be really cool. I love technology more than I can say, but in all honesty I think people need to enjoy nature more. When I say that, myself included. I mean, it's not that I can't enjoy nature... it's just that with all of this stuff, and all of this technology I really just don't have a reason to... I like technology too much.

It's kinda like Mass Effect: "Technology will always rebel against their creators." It's not like we really have a choice, it kind of rules us now. The only adventure we have is here... but how cool would it be if someone found your DNA way later on in the future and just like revived you? D: Anyways, before I get off topic...

Every commercial you see is for a tablet or some new piece of phone technology. If all that became obsolete I wonder how people would feel about it... ? Back to riding horses, and living off the land. Factories, military power, all of it is useless. Also, candles. emotion_dowant

If you're interested, entire pilot episode that premiered is here It struck me as a bit corny at times, but I liked it. There was a good amount of action in it, and I thought it was enjoyable and kind of a breathe of fresh air in a way. Let me know what you think!

Ah yeah I forgot this show was starting up soon. No idea if I'll ever watch it but I might give it a shot after the first season wraps up.

I'd be screwed with no electricity, I'm in nowhereland..... it.... just.... wouldn't work. rofl

I'll welcome technology overlords over a permanent grid failure any day of the week. Think of all that sweet, sweet technology. And it's probably more merciful than humanity going back to it's wild habitat.

I love the question "Advance Technology, or Get Rid of It?" because there are so many pros and cons.

The major thing about us returning to our wild habitat is really our education in survival and peace of mind in my opinion. You were taught how to build cabins, and... all of that other fun stuff, but you didn't have the ultimate cure for cancer, or a vast network of endless knowledge. It's a different type of adventure.

When I am resurrected a bajillion years from now I am going to be a badass space pirate D: but I don't want them to take this seriously because it's only a joke and I know that they will probably go back into my data files and read this ancient log <.<

To be real honest, I could live with not having a smartphone or a tv.
But my laptop is my precious <3 And I like lights. XD I'm not fond of candles, they scare me..

I already like to spend time in nature. There's a lovely green parc nearby where I walk my dog once in a while. And with autumn coming up, I'm sure to spend some Sunday afternoon in the forest with doggie.

But I can understand that show is some sort of wake up call.

I admire you spend time in nature with your dog, that's really cool to me. : )

The third episode of the show premiered and since the first it just... started to be really dramatic and the actors are not that good at all. So I stopped watching the show. emotion_8c
