Name: Poeias Claudy (Goes by Poe usually)
poeias comes from onomatopoeias
and claudy means crippled in like latin

Blood colour: Greenie weenie - #177619

Gender: Dudeman

Symbol: User Image

Personality:
Poe is a very energetic young troll, who over involves himself in everything he does, including his favorite hobby - jokes. He is a self-proclaimed jokester, even though the majority of his jokes are rather odd puns or wordplay. Poe has a tentative self-esteem, and it is based on what other trolls think of him. If they think he's hilarious, by god he is THE FUNNIEST TROLL EVER!! And nothing will convince him otherwise. When regarded as a pest, he gets upset and will cry or when he's older, want to punch something.
He's very socially awkward, despite his attempts to integrate as a social butterfly. He doesn't understand simple things like sarcasm or social cues, and his direct, honest nature can cause conflicts with other trolls. He believes if no one laughs at his jokes it was because they didn't understand. So he will explain it to them, in detail. He's the sort of troll that uses the word "wow" too much, and he has a fondness for using exclamations in general.
Poe feels he is a witty troll, and while that may not be true to every troll, he is definitely good at thinking outside the box to come to a good solution to his problem, like putting mirrors around his hive or maybe using gum to fix a leaky pipe. He's a good problem solver, but not so good at people skills.
Poe is also a very sensitive troll. Outright telling him you hate puns could upset or anger him. What's not to like? He takes everything pretty personally. His temper isn't the most healthy thing, but he does try to reign it in when he's around highbloods. Lanata taught him to be nice to them so he wouldn't get culled and he intends to keep the rest of his limbs.
In all, he comes across as a very conflicted boy. He understands things that are set in stone, but when it comes to communicating with other trolls, he's awkward and lost. He wants to be popular but he's too trusting and can't handle criticism. He can be brave and defend his lusus one moment, but wimp out doing something simple the next.

Poeias has an odd set of hobbies, but first and foremost is his love of puns and word play. He is passionate about making puns, and will do so at every single given opportunity. Poe occasionally will overhear conversations when he's in NHC and be disappointed at the missed chance to make a pun. He believes they are the funniest form of comedy ever and can't understand how people could dislike them.
Poe is also a big fan of playing darts, although with his horns in his face like that, he's never actually hit his dartboard before. But he swears one day he'll be so good at it! He'll be the best, and then he can use darts as a weapon (his one true dream). He likes to carry some darts around in his pockets.
Poeias has a budding interest in troll soap operas. Right now he's too young to fully appreciate them as he doesn't really care about romance yet, but he likes how passionate everyone sounds and sometimes there's punportunities (especially in the really bad ones) so he can hone his skills! Plus he feels it can help him learn how to be more social (it doesn't).

Poe knows the hemospectrum is a thing. He's right in the middle, so he doesn't mind it at all. He knows not to mess around with highbloods so he does his best not to let them get him upset, sometimes even holding his tongue (figuratively) to stop himself from being too honest with them. Though when he does get upset around highbloods he just cries. When he's older, he'd be more likely to pick a fight with a lowblood than he would a highblood.

Strengths:
-Passionate: Poe tends to be a very enthusiastic troll, always deeply involved in his hobbies and interests. He could talk for hours about his favorite shows, or how awesome he'll be at darts one day! This sort of nature makes Poeias spring into action, and keeps him from going down when other trolls might otherwise be unable or unwilling to fight.

-Resourceful: Poeias isn't terribly bright, but when it comes to more practical things like solving a physical problem, he can be quite inventive, putting up angled mirrors around his hive, and traps around the livestock to protect them, or even just making his life easier. Poe can figure out a way to deal with anything life hands to him. He's very hands on, both literally and figuratively, as he likes being able to hold things in his hands when he works on them.

-Loyal: He's very devoted to people he decides are friends, even if they don't really feel the same about him. He can be selfless in his loyalty, going so far as to risk himself for the safety of others, as he did for his lusus, even though he's not as determined for his own well-being.

Flaws:
-Gullible: And even though Poe is clever, he is not very smart. He is way too trusting of everyone he meets, and can be downright gullible! Tell him your name is "Grubbutt ********" and Poe would cheerily call you Grubbutt, no questions asked. This does however, also set him up for more crueler things, such as a total betrayal from a friend. Poeias just can't stop himself from believing...

-Quick Temper ... and it upsets him. As a child, this manifests in the form of being easily reduced to tears, but as he gets older he'll be more likely to get angry and pick a fight than he would to just cry. This came in handy for Poeias when his lusus was attacked, as he was quickly able to get angry and defend her, but rage (and crying like a wriggler) is not always the best way to go about something. He can throw temper tantrums when things don't go his way because right now, he's basically a huge crybaby.

-Awkward: He's not actually all that skilled in hanging around other trolls, though he feels he is a sociable person. He can misinterpret a troll very easily, as his cleverness does not extend to give him social grace. He is unwieldy around fellow trolls, and doesn't know how to take hints very well. Obviously, if someone didn't laugh at his pun it was because they didn't understand! He'll then take the time to explain why it was funny in full length.

Weapon: Shears. He'll uses their reflective surfaces as a way to see around him in battles (even when his horns are cut off), though for now Lanata is keeping her little lamb out of harm's way.

Appearance: Poeias has one tooth peeking outside of his mouth as a result of a mild overbite. He has terrible, awful horns that cover his eyes most of the way. He can still see, though generally only through the corners of his eyes and at his feet. His horns are still fully intact with no cracks or breaks. Right now, he's still rather young and too afraid to saw his own horns off. In the future, there will be an attempt to do so before he gets it broken off, and him successfully sawing off his other horn will be one of his coming of age moments. His hair is curly and slightly unruly, fluffy and puffy like sheep's wool. Poeias, unfortunately, is missing his left arm mid-forearm. He lost his arm to a howlbeast while defending his lusus from the hungry mouth of the huge beast, distracting it from her. It is replaced by a robotic prosthetic. Poeias wears an oversized black and green sweater jacket (with his symbol instead of that pattern), gray cargo shorts, and wear fuzzy black wool boots (omg yes he has uggs).

Home: New Hemisect's plains. He works on a farm (kinda) and shears the woolbeasts. His hive is small and cozy, detached from the farm he goes to, though not that far of a distance from his hive. It has a respiteblock, kitchen and bathroom, and a pen outside for his Lusus that has a little shelter for her during the day, though she just lives with him inside his hive most of the time.. Poeias puts mirrors around his hive to help him see.

Lusus: Female woolbeast. Poe calls her Ewe Mama sometimes, and also sometimes calls her other names. But usually he calls her by her name, Lanata.
She is bigger than Poe, at about 5'4, and very gentle. Lanata loves her charge, and Poeias takes care of her. Lanata has taught Poe all he needs to know about social interactions with highbloods so that he won't get culled with a social faux pas. She calls him her lamb.

Some notes -
Basically the difference between teen Poe and kiddy Poe is that he is a way bigger crybaby as a kid than as a teen. He was already gonna be kind of a young teen anyway so this works out for me. But who knows, maybe through RP teen Poe will be different than the one I had had in mind before!
His horns still cover his eyes as a kid, because they hatched that way and it's terrible. He will lose his leg later in a trap he sets up, but he hasn't lost it yet as a child! Just half of his arm. He has yet to attempt sawing off his horns too, but he'll try that later when he's not barely a wriggler.
He tends to make sheep puns the most, but he won't object to any kind of pun he can think of!

ROOAaH WHAT UP

let's start at the top and comb downwards like im grooming his pretty hair emotion_kirakira

The first thing that I'd like to start on is that you repeat a few things in his description, like how he gets upset if people don't like his jokes. Secondly, I would start with how he is actually pretty socially awkward, rather than that he likes to tell jokes, as I started out thinking of him as a witty troll and was p confused that he wouldn't get sarcasm!

You say he's got a temper, yet then you say that when he gets upset he'll just cry and throw tantrums. I'd say that is less anger issues and more being a spoiled crybaby? If he actually got angry, wouldn't he just yell at or pick fights with other trolls?

When you say he's smart 'in a practical way', I really wasn't expecting the example to be him being good at math. Unless he actually has to solve complex equations as a part of everyday life, that really isn't a 'practical smarts' field. Another example you use twice is putting up mirrors around his hive a-and uh .... why is that smart? o wo;;; You write 'resourceful' in his strengths, which makes sense for being intelligent about practical things, and give a good example of setting up traps to protect livestock. If he is just good at solving problems, I would avoid calling him cleaver or smart, as they suggest the mental agility that he just doesn't seem to have, and stick to describing him as practical/resourceful.

Troll robotic technology is pretty much to the point where having mechanical replacements improves your physical prowess rather than hindering it, so I'm kind of confused why he's disabled. If you're talking about his horns, well tbh I'm even more confused as to why he hasn't had them removed, or at least straightened! The way you've written/shown them I can't see how he would even be aware of a wall before he walks into it!

obv while a bit of this doesn't apply to him as a troll kidlet, its still stuff that needs to be worked out for when he grows up o wo

Haha yeah, a lot of that was because I don't think I did a very good job translating him into his kid stage. I sort of just made him cry more instead of rewriting most of it.

When he gets older, it will be anger issues and not just crybabying, since he sort of... can't pick fights now?? But yeah, I'll fix that!

I'll change intelligent/clever to problem solver, as well. I guess I wasn't really thinking that through very well haha. I wanted him to be good at thinking at that sort of thing while not actually being good with other trolls, besides his terrible puns. The mirror thing helps him see around corners and stuff because he can see out of the corners of his eyes. I'm not very good at explaining but like if you put your hands in front of your eyes you can still see your peripheral vision and at your feet, and that's how his horns are, to him.

He hasn't tried removing his horns yet because he is a baby and thinks he's okay right now without doing so. When he's a teen he's gonna make a halfassed attempt to saw one off and end up getting that one broken, and later on cut it off his other horn himself and it'll be a big special event in his life showin' that babby Poe is all grown'd up. His very own coming of age story or something silly like that.

I didn't know about the technology and I sort of thought that his wouldn't be that great because he's only a greenblood. The only canon examples of troll robot limbs are on bluebloods or come from them so I thought maybe a poorer greenblood wouldn't be able to afford the better fake limbs. I can fix that part as well.

Just a footnote, you might better integrate his quick temper into his younger sweeps by mentioning why getting angry upsets him to the point of tears instead of outright anger like yelling (if there is a particular reason). Maybe he's afraid of ruining his chances at being a social butterfly but eventually that falls to the wayside some the older he gets?

It's not a requirement, though, he's fine as is, too!
