((Welcome to a Bahari'mtoto Kizingo-zaa event! Anyone can post here but please read the rules and regs before you continue! NOTE : some people seem to be confused, everyone should roll a dice, its just a way to give a definite end to the RP thats all.))
The morning had started well enough, having eight cubs under your paws could be hard work but Afina didn't mind. She knew of course that she could ask for help at any time but she liked to take responsibility for her babies, they were after all her problem, so to speak. No, she could never think of them as a problem they were a blessing, a blessing from the gods of the sea. She liked to think of it that way, the truth was she was deeply in love with her mate and the cubs they were the proof of that. That kind of mushy way of thinking always made her laugh inwardly, she couldn't say such things to Xenon, after all he was not the kind to suffer such things. Stills he liked to think them.
The morning was starting to wane and the sun rose higher in to the sky as she lead her cubs in to the shade of the overhanging trees. She enjoyed the jungle overhang nearly as much as she enjoyed the sea. It was cool here and a good place for her to relax in the shade and watch the eight little bundles of multi coloured fluff.
Laying down in her favourite spot, nestled in to the high hanging roots of a baobab, the deep blue lioness smiled as the cubs played their little games. There was a call for a game of hide and seek and she whispered a warning "Don't stray too far." The cool breeze from the sea lulled her quietly, and she closed her eyes, just for a minute....
-----
Afina opened her eyes once again and yawned a toothy yawn, she looked down expecting to find the cubs nestled against her belly, safe, warm, sleeping, but no cub was beside her. Flickering her ears she listened carefully for the laughing giggling, playful sounds of her babes, only to be met with silence, it was unusual for them not to be there, were they still playing hide and seek? Turning her gaze to the sky she blinked and gasped in surprise, she hadn't simply nodded off, she must have been asleep for hours. Where were the cubs? Standing quickly the deep blue lioness started back down towards the beach, surely they would be with the other Pombuka, they must not have wanted to disturb her, that was it, she was certain they would be with the Pombuka. She was certain...

Rules n regs!
1. For every post you make you will get a ticket for a raffle to win the cubs below, there will be two different raffles, one for everyone (girl cub) and one for people whom didn't get a breeding custom in august (boy cub) 2. Each cub has a number as rolled below, some of them are the same (stupid dice!) but every time you post you must roll one twenty (20) sided dice. Once all the cubs have been rolled they will have all been cubnapped (onoas!) and a winner will be waffled, uh raffled. 3. If you already own a cub from this litter, you cannot win again, you can however RP hiding or being snagged away when someone rolls your number! 4. Please don't post and post and post, to see how many cubs you can kidnap and raffle tickets you can get, you must allow another person to post before you post / roll again. 5. This RP is open to everyone, however if you do not own a kizingo-zaa lion, or a bahari'mtoto lion (or critter) you can RP a familiar (if you own one) or a random prey beast (The bahari is close to a jungle so, monkeys, babboons, lizards are more or less every where.) As this will be a time of crisis rogues will be viewed as hostile so please don't wander in with a random rogue you may get beaten up (EEK!) 6. If you are rping a bahari lion and you roll a cub number, don't panic, it just means the cub you thought you saw in the distance has been snagged! 7. If you are a Kizingo'zaa lion if you roll the number of a cub you have cubnapped that cub, rejoice.. I think XD! 8. If you are a random prey beast or familiar and you roll a cub number, you have seen that cub taken, ohhhhh ahh, don't you have good eyes? 9. Please follow gaia / soa T & C's 10. More rules may be added if I think of them!

Vainamo, who so happened to be strolling along nearby, saw Afina and started to offer a friendly greeting, but the bright smile on his face darkened as he could practically feel the growing sense of distress around the mother.
"Is something wrong, Afina? Where are the kiddos?"
He furrowed a brow, looking around. He love playing with little ones, even if he was trying to do a little growing up. He was still a kid at heart. To not see them running around, well...coupled with Afina's apparent distress, it didn't sit well with him.

The blue lioness licks her lips uncomfortably, looking at the black male she frowned. "I can't find them, I'm..I'm sure they are with the Pombuka... Would you go and see the guards? I can't find them!"
She frowns, an agitated shiver running down her spine, she didn't even greet the young male properly, she as much too irate, the deep blue mother shakes her head and continues to walk "They must be with the Pombuka, they must."

Kicheko snickered quietly as she wiggled a bit further into the bush she had chosen for her hiding place. This was the best game of hide and seek ever! Mom had fallen asleep a while ago and they had wandered off into the jungle a bit in search of better hiding places. She was so preoccupied with the game, she didn't even think to keep track of her surroundings.
"Best. Spot. Ever," she whispered to herself as she pulled a leaf down in front of her face. Her coloring wasn't the best for hiding, but she didn't care. She found ways to bury herself under plants and dig up the earth enough to blend in. Now all she had to do was wait and hope that her siblings were found before she was. She couldn't hear any of them, so perhaps they were off being found.
[Forgot I wanted to play with Fireheart in this one, so I gotta post separately to roll for her since I can't edit the previous one :/ Kicheko won't come up again until someone rolls her number, though, and when that happens I'll put her post with Fireheart's. Sorry for the lack of organization!]
Silent as the shadows in the jungle, Fireheart stalked the jumping and running cubs. She was completely still whenever the wind died down, but when it picked back up and offered moving foliage and shadows to move through, she glided easily along the jungle floor. There were others from her pride here, but she wasn't too sure where they were. They were all down-wind of the cubs and the snoozing mother, who had just woken from her nap it seemed. They wouldn't be spotted, that's for sure.
Fireheart paused again to try to listen for her pridemates. They were being very stealthy which was good. She didn't want this heist to end up a bust. Turning tail and running home empty handed wasn't what she had in mind. Green eyes followed each cub as they popped up from their hiding place...must be playing a game. Hmm...now which one was closest to her...
There seemed to be at least five. Maybe more. Giggles and snickers could be heard, at least, and they suggested even a few more cubs. The scouts had reported back with quite a high number, but she wasn't sure if they were all present or not.

The black lion moved across the sands with the usual smile on his face. Nahodha'kota, was a formidable looking lion, but he was also a friendly one, head of the guards, his black coat and immense size meant he stood out from most, though a lof of his family members shared his huge stature and coat colour he was the only one with the streak of white up his nose and the soft silvering in his mane.
He wasn't quite as spry as he used to be but he could still hold his own in a fight. His dark ears perked in his mane, which was something that was quite difficult to see really, but they certainly perked, there was something happening, a commotion by the dens, turning himself slightly he started towards the nursery and the pombuka. Something was up.
"Gotcha! I'll tell them quick as I can, trust me!"
With that, the young adult sprang in to action, running to inform the Pombuka of the situation. Along the way he spotted Nahodha'kota, and he came skidding to a halt. Literally. He wasn't one of the Pombuka, but any help they could get was good.
"Hey, Nahodha'kota, sir, nice to see you today," Vainamo grinned, before resuming a serious face, "Listen, Afina's cubs have gone missing. Think you can help us find them? I'm off to tell the Pombuka.."
Vainamo trusted in Kota's age and assumed wisdom due to said age to aid them. Vainamo made a lot of assumptions, though. However again - any help was good.
(( Forgot to say that I did not use my August custom-in slot. 3nodding ))
Maji looked around her surroundings looking for anyone who might see her and when she didn't see anyone she dashed from behind the tree and ran to the next to hide behind it. Her plan for this hide and seek game was to get as far away as she could before she hid so there was less chance of her being found before everyone else.
She was almost always the one who was found first and she wanted for once to be the last one. She knew she was rather noisy so hiding in a near by spot was not the way she was going to be the winner of the game.
After a moment she glanced from behind the tree looking for anyone who might see her again. Once she was sure the coast was clear she dashed for the next closest tree. She would be winning this game.
Fireheart's ears picked up conversation quite a ways away from her, but she lifted her head a bit to try to see where it was coming from. There were a few lions off in the distance now, two males and one female, and she quickly lowered her head. They must be keeping an eye on the cubs. Too bad they were so far away...napping one or two or six might not be so hard after all.
She crouched once again, eyes focused forward to let her ears control her senses. There were easily three cubs within pouncing range, if the rustling leaves were anything to say about it. She shifted her weight a bit before moving forward very, very slowly, letting the shadows of the dancing trees hide her approach.

Takibi walked along the beach calmly humming a quiet little tune. He was looking for a good spot to hide, as his coloration offered him no natural camoflage. He thought the "hide in plain sight" thing may work but he knew he had to be standing out like a sore paw, so the cub dashed into the brush.
After wondering around for a while the cub stumbled upon a small cave and took up hiding in there. He continued to hum his happy little tune. The red cub knew his siblings wouldn't find him unless they looked in just the right spot, so he was not worried in the least about being found.
