Depression had been the only thing getting him by lately and it seemed to be the only thing he had been living off of since it happened. There was a break within himself and it was a break that couldn't be helped. He lost the one person he ever loved and felt so lost. So lonely and so cold. He would just stare out wishing she was running up towards him and pray it was real, but it never happened. That point was long gone now and the only thing keeping him going where his children and grandchildren. Even though he never saw his two sons, he was happy to have Nukpana with him all the time. He was a proud grandfather and only wished Zeda was there to see what became of her daughter. It was saddening to have such a disjointed family where no one communicates or contacts one another. It's like they are strangers. Like they didn't even grow together as a family. It was just a swift end once the children grew and things progressed. He felt cheated and used, when he could have been happy with Taja.
That was all the past now. He needed to look towards the future.
As he shifted his body on the ground, he looked up to the sky seeing the stars beginning to shine brightly in the vast darkness. He felt like a lost star. Only time would tell if he could find what he is looking for again or if someone would find him.
