High-functioning Counselor

 Luna had spent the last week by the ocean. Lounging around and she even found herself at some sort of celebration where many Soquili had gathered. She even saw a Soquili twirling sticks of fire and had had a grand time. But the festivities had come to and end and the beach became deserted. With all the others gone she felt an emptiness inside of her. She was missing the company of others.
So she decided to head back to the nearby forest where she had met one Soquili that reminder her of home back before she came to the Kawani lands. She wondered if others had traveled from those distant lands. She wondered a lot more tonight then she usually did.
Having got up at the sunset and then starting off early in her day left her a lot of time to think. She even traveled a familiar path so her normal lackadaisical curiosity seemed to be missing.
She traveled most of the night before she came to what seemed a quiet part of the forest. She thought to herself that this was a good a place as any to stop and rest for the day. So she stopped there. Plus she had found some beautiful flowers to nibble. The flowers were bright but her thoughts were dark. They lingered back to all those she had left behind. She wondered if maybe there was something wrong with her. She tried to shake the thought.

 The sun was just rising when Zev finally decided which direction he was going to take today. The Zhevra stallion had spent the last few days sparring with another uni, one who had actually taught him a few new tricks, not that he was going to admit that to anyone. As the first rays came through the thin thicket of trees, he stretched and shook out his awesome mane. It was early for him but he had been up earlier before, sometimes enjoying that dark moment just before the dawn. Zevron turned and faced the sun starting out the next leg of his journey.
It wasn't until a few moments later he realized someone had stopped near by during the night, a flutter with curiously large wings. She reminded him of something he had seen as a foal though at the time the herd had been traveling and so he had only caught a glimpse. Feeling an amiable mood he decided to postpone his next destination and trotted over, a grin upon his face. "Well hello there. How are you doing this fine morning?"

As Luna nibbled away on the flowers trying to not pay attention her thoughts she was suddenly surprised to hear another voice. She was more than happy to have a distraction from her thoughts do so she turned around with quick enthusiasm to greet the Soquili with a flower still dangling from her mouth. "Hewllo," She said trying to quickly finish the flower in her mouth. As she turned around she saw a handsome stallion standing looking at her. She blushed embarrassed by her state but she tried to push through it.
She approached the stallion "I'm uh great!" She said with more excitement than she meant. She usually didn't have to pretend to be happy and she felt odd doing so, but she didn't like hearing about people problems and she certainly was going to be one of those Soquili.
As she approached him she noticed more than his good looks, but a symbol on the cloth around his back. She walked right up to his side and put her head down to get a better look at the symbol. She was not one who was shy about getting in others personal space. "That symbol," She said a bit dreamily. She almost went to grab the cloth with her teeth but noticed the sword and got distracted. "Are you a warrior?" She said with wonder and waiting for an answer before asking more questions.

"Symbol? Oh you mean my tabard?" Zev stuck out his chest with pride. He had won that fair and square in a tournament back when he first was entering adulthood. It had been a three day festival where stallion and mares from all around came to test each other against feats of strength, speed and other skills. Only the best of all three rankings could earn the right to wear the tabard with the symbol of the horde blazoned upon it. It had been one of the best days of his life, and well deserved, when he had stood up and accepted the honor. "It's pretty awesome, isn't it." He grinned and shook out his styled mane. "Not everyone can wear it you know." The striped stallion glanced towards his dagger and shook his head, "Naw, not a warrior. They are way too bulky and headstrong. I'm a rogue!" Zevron nodded as his spoke, eying the mare closely.
He took a nibble of breakfast before mumbling. "So what are you doing here?" The stallion felt rather amiable after a good nights sleep and having company was always a good thing. "The name is Zev, do you have a name befitting your own beauty?" He grinned again and bent down to snag another mouthful of the delicious flowers. Today was going to be a good day, he just knew it!

Luna finished investigating the stallion admiring all of his adornments. She than backed up to take in all of the stallion. He seemed rather talented and she felt better about herself being in the company of one so confident. "It is awesome, you must be very good at being a rogue," She said enthralled with him. She knew of warriors but she wasn't sure what a rogue was. The word seemed familiar but strange at the same time. She got distracted from that thought by him asking about her.
Luna blushed at the mention of her beauty but it was hidden by her purple color. "Oh Hello Zev, I'm Actias Luna, but you can just call me Luna," she awkwardly introduced herself like they hadn't been talking before. "Oh, I um came up her from the beach. I got lonely and so decided to head back here cause I had met another friendly soquili out her before and was hoping to find more, which I did!" She said realizing at the moment she had met her goal of finding someone to talk with. This thought made her relax more and let go of her earlier worries.
With that she was able to focus less on herself and more on the stallion. She asked him the same question, "What are you doing here?" She wondered if his answer would be different. Maybe it was they were here for the same reason.
