The Hunt Something has been going on near the Grove, abnormaly large snakes are becoming numerous, and people are beginning to disappear. When the Military Police Corps investigates all it can find are large areas of flattened grass leading to and from the house in question. However the Military Police can't afford to send a search team to check the area, and have decided to tap into the resources of the Regular Forces. It is because of this that a team was called together consisting of Gennosuke Murakami, Shinzu Akara, and Tenshi Fubuki. Gennosuke was put in charge of the team, do to his sensor abilities, while Shinzu and Tenshi are intended to provide much of the fighting muscle. (Post make a post of everyone gathering, and then we'll begin around 5pm CST)

He was to go with Shinzu and one other person, he looked at the letter again, Gennosuke Murakami, I don't think I've ever seen him around. He better not be a clown. Or worse, be in competition with Shinzu... I don't want another mission like last time. He was to wait at the rendezvous point for the others. Today, he had worn his normal mission clothes and brought everything along with him that he could. He dealt with giant snakes before and they were messy... and quick.... and strong... he sighed, hoping he was ready for this. He leaned against a tree and drew his wakizashi. He may as well make sure his weapon was in peak condition.

It was his first mission since becoming a Chuunin. He had wished he was given an extra teammate but he would either have to pick up the slack or just simply deal. He sighed as he finally came to the spot where there were suppose to meet up. He landed on the tree limb above, whom he hoped was his teammate, and peered down at the guy.
"Murakami Gennosuke, and I take it your Tenshi?" he asked making sure to identify and introduce himself. He didn't wait for an answer, instead choosing to look around to see if he could find Shinzu. If not they would give him a few more minutes to get there til then he'd get to know his teammate. "So what are your abilities?" asked Gennosuke making sure he could get as much information as possible so that their mission would go as smooth and successful as possible.

"Sorry I'm a little late guys." Shinzu said as he finally arrived. "This thing is a little more difficult to put on then you would think." He said with a gesture to his flak jacket. He was half excited to finally be on a mission, and half not. After the conclusion of the exams he couldn't help but feel weak, he'd hardly done anything worthy of a Mist Shinobi. He barely even felt worthy of wearing the flak jacket they had given him.
Soon after Shinzu's arrival a male shinobi with the symbol of the Military Police Corps on his shoulder. "I assume you're the team?" He asked, waiting for thier confirmation. "Ok here's the deal..." The man began as he told them what had been happening in this area. "Please follow me." He finally said after a moment as he walked behind a small flat, and towards the back which was uncommonly close to the Grove. Stretched along the length of backyard was a long line of flattened grass. "We believe that whatever is making this, has something to do with the disappearences." He said as he stood at the entrance of the yard, not willing to go any further. "Okay I'm going to take my leave." He said, before quickly disappearing.
With the Policeman gone Shinzu turned to Gennosuke. "What do we do now?" He asked.

He smirked at his comment about the flak jacket before turning his attention to the Military Corp that had arrived not too long after Shinzu. Before he knew it he was being shown a building with a trail of grass which looked to have been flattened. All Gennosuke heard was disappearences and the foot steps of the man running off. Some help thought Gennosuke folding his arms pondering what they should do.
After a second Gennosuke looked back at the house and made a few handseals. "I'll check and see if I can sense anything inside," he said activating his jutsu. He closed his eyes allowing him to now see the chakra signatures of the living things around him within 20 meters.

Gennosuke senses residue chakra along the path, slowly growing stronger the further it travels into the grove before suddenly seeming to grow larger at the edge of his chakra sensing abilities.

Tenshi simply nodded his head, "That would be me, Fubuki Tenshi. I would have to say that out of my skills I excel the most with chakra control and using my blade." That was pretty much all he excelled in, everything else was either average or down right pathetic. Of course, his luck was also terrible, but he'd save that for later. Not long after Shinzu came strolling through. "You're not too late. We've only just arrived ourselves. By the way, nice jacket."
No later had Shinzu arrived, another person walked into the grove. From the look of him, he was part of the Police Corp that handed the mission over to them. Tenshi followed beside them all to the scene of the crime. When they got there, the guy just seemed to leave them there. "So that was it? He didn't give us anything else? Pff, I wish I could slack like that on my job..." He looked around at the area and seeing as Gennosuke went to scout the land, Tenshi decided to do some interviewing. "Maybe they saw something," he said pointing to some people gathered near the building, "Maybe you should go. I think you're better at speaking with people than I am. I mean... I was pretty much by myself in the academy after all." Wow, I really need some social skills. Maybe I'll practice a bit once I get back home.
"I'll check out the grass and see if I can find anything." Tenshi walked to the back and bent down to the flattened grass...

Tenshi notices that a few meters into the grove it grow incredibly thick in this area, making ranged weapons useless and visual identification difficult. It does appear cutable however.
Cut down vines to follow the path: Strength DC: 16, and bladed weapon.

Shinzu had crossed his arms and was waiting for Gennosuke's Sensor report hen Tenshi suggested that Shinzu could talk to the people. "Nah, Taijutsu and smooth talking doesn't mix too well. Besides our mission is to hunt down who or what is responsible for this." Shinzu said with a grin and a slight yawn, he'd been up late the night before training and such. Not to mention he had a wealth of scrolls to read, but that all came with becoming a chuunin. "I think I'm going to sign up for that ambassador mission." Shinzu said in passing to Gennosuke.

"Ambassador mission?" repeated Gennosuke a bit intrigued by the sound of it. He began to head towards the grove making sure to stay aware of his surroundings so as not to be surprised by who, or what, ever it was they were after. "We'll talk about that later," said Gennosuke wanting to focus on the mission at hand. "Make sure to keep your guards up at all time," he reminded them as if he wasn't sure they had already known that.
Once he made it to the grove and saw that they were going to have to cut down the tall grass in the area he simply sighed and looked at the other two who had the swords. "Well which of you will it be?" he asked staring between the two of them.

Tenshi drew his sword, seeing as Gennosuke wasn't about to do it since he asked which of them were going. Tenshi didn't have a problem trying. Plus, Shinzu didn't seem like doing much at that point anyways. He drew his blade and held it out in front of him, measuring out his strike. He gave it a good whack, but the vines seemed pretty thick. His strike didn't do much good. Not that he didn't expect it with his build, but he was expecting something a little better than what he had gotten. He wasn't green when it came to his sword. My blade looks sharp... maybe I should get it sharpened when I get back... He looked down his blade just to see how sharp it was. It doesn't look dull... "Wanna give it a go Shinzu? I'm sure you could cut them down." Shinzu could probably rip them all down with his muscles, without even using a blade... He chuckled to himself.

Pulling out his sword, which gleamed in the sun, showing it had been properly taken care of, and rarely used. "You just have to use all of your muscles Tenshi." Shinzu said with a grin as he took a swing at the vines, but only managing to cut through half of them. "You have to be kidding me..." He said as he pulled back, and turned to face Gennosuke. Flipping his sword around to him, offering the sword handle out. "Why don;t you give it a try as well?"

Fuuin Jutsu: o ll Sneak Attack: o ll Puppet Play: o Gennosuke observed the two of them attempt to cut through the tall grass and on the inside he was chuckling a bit, swordsmen who couldn't cut grass. His inner thoughts must have been figured out by Shinzu who flipped the sword around so that the handle faced Gennosuke urging him to try. Gennosuke figured he had to rise up to the challenge. He grabbed the sword by the handle and stared at it. He'd only used on once before and that was on the mission with Shinzu in which they encountered the pack of muts. He raised it and took a gulp before putting all of his strength into the attack and slashing straight through the greenery. He was thoroughly surprised that he had gotten through on his first try. "Beginner's luck," he said with a slight smirk.

"Yeah, beginner's luck." Shinzu said as he took his sword back, somewhat forcefully. "So what's the plan now boss?" He asked as he moved further into the shrubbery to clear more space for them to move into the grove. He easily cut through several of the vines, giving them more and more area, just enough to use shuriken and throw kunai safely. "Huh the vines are getting less thick..." Shinzu said back to Gen and Tenshi, as he moved more and more into the grove.
