Sevina, the Ringmaster.

☠ Personality ✕
Sevina is cruel. Add long as it benefits her in some way, she'll do it no matter what the consequences are for you. She had charms that she won't hesitate to lay on thick if she feels she needs to. Sevina is power hungry, self centered and craves fame and fortune. That's really all she needs.
☠ Deformities ✕
Sevina always had something special about her. Born the seventh child of an ancient family, Sevina had the power to control. She can possess you literally, as she does with her performers. Taking their bodies and deforming then, she kept her youth and heath. Sevina grew in strength with each deformed performer, and thus she started the Dark Circus: Cirque du Sombre. She craves more and more power, and she will take out ok her own hands to earn it.

Luna was a quiet girl and most people considered her a wise person. She was picked up when she was very little and made blind by the Ringmaster. Luna did not have any name when she came to the Circus but when she became the fortune teller of the circus a fellow performer gave her the blindfold with a Moon mark so after that everyone called her Luna and in the end Luna thought of herself as Luna Lunaire the seer of the Moon. As she grew up many people came to the carnival to hear Luna's fortunes so she was given a better costume to perform in and she became called Blue Moon Luna, this was a name Luna loved because the last color she had seen was the red of her own blood so she hated red but loved blue.

When she was very little the Ringmaster plucked out her eyes. In response to that all her other senses was heightened and with that she was able to tell things about persons that other people could not, so she was appointed to the fortune teller of the circus. But the Ringmaster didn't know that she actually had awakened a 6th sense and was able to see things other could not, but she had hidden this talent to everyone. Because being a seer is a dangerous business.

Luna is against all that the Ringmaster stands for and she had a deep sadness in her heart that this place is even allowed to exist, so she vowed that she would put a stop to the atrocity that this circus was and save every innocent performer that was trapped here.

Mister Bones, and at times simply just Bones

☠ Personality ✕
Mister Bones is a gentleman, if not a snooty one at that. He is known for his snobbery and haughtiness that is only rivaled it seems by the Ringamaster. Bones can be a bit of a perfectonist and does not smile. [Not that he could due to a lack of his lower jaw] Bones seems to constantly be loosing pieces of himself and has been known in rages to literally loose his head. Though he tries to remain serious he is often a form of comedic relief without his intent of being so.

A walking talking skeleton, is it not obvious? Of course being a beheaded skeleton is an entirely different matter entirely.
When Bones was a younger and more flesh covered man he stumbled upon the circus and decided it simply was a mediocre display of entertainment at best. Encuring the wrath of the Ringmaster she asked him what he had to offer her on the inside of him, to which he replied:
"I am nothing but bone beneath my flesh and tissues, madame! Of all the nerve!"
Soon afterwords the man became the anwser he had given her. A thing of all bone. To make him seem more comical in appearance, or simply perhaps she was bored- the Ringmaster seen to it he was beheaded.

Arachene, which is her stage name - her real name is Wya'si Svaevis, but it brings back bad memories and she would prefer not to use it.

Arachene used to be the girl who chased the boys, before she upset Lolth and became a Drider. She still likes to act mysterious and seductive, but it's part of her sword swallower act now. She also likes to make things out of non-sticky silk, which the Carnival often sells.

To make a long story short, Arachene upset a goddess and got turned into a spider monster for her troubles. There's not much a Drider can do in normal society - people tend to be frightened by their appearence - so the Carnival was one of the few places to go.

Arachene is not sided with the Ringmaster, nor against. The Ringmaster took her in and gave her a home, but does it mean she's always right?

Hex was an orphan who wandered into the circus looking for scraps. He was “recruited” by the ringmaster after showing talent at the Voodoo booth. On the stage, and in the booth, Hex is mysterious and cold, often laughing at the fear displayed in other’s eyes, but offstage, he’s actually quite awkward and shy.

When he first showed the ability to perform voodoo as an orphan, Hex had his right arm cut off (at the elbow) by the ringmaster, and replaced with another arm that channels spirits/ghosts. It's mostly covered by a arm warmer-thing, but it also has a switch blade attached for blood related activities...

Before all of this Conrad was a noble man with intentions that would have made a knight jealous. His family always came first in his life, friends second, and then himself if time allowed. It was that commitment that fated him down his current path, a path that is shrouded in darkness and uncertainty. Now the guardian known as Wullf watches and performs the bidding of the Ringmaster thanks to the collar around his neck. Anyone who would be brave enough to approach the big bad wolf could possibly be greeted with a growling voice looking for some form of interaction beyond the freaks and demons of the circus, or a snarling growl and bark if he's in a particularly bad mood.

☠ (A short) Bio
Merri didn't always lead the life of a lowly magician... In fact, he comes from a very long line of Warlocks that can trace their lineage back to Merlin himself. The majority of his life he spent honing his gifts... Unfortunately 'magic' doesn't pay the rent or put food on the table. After many odd jobs, Merri stumbled into the big tent of Cirque du Sombre! At the time, he had thought the place run as a sort of safe haven for freaks... Until he saw what was really happening with his own eyes! Sevina had long since thought Merri had been under her thumb, but in reality - he's not! In his heart, he knows can't leave Cirque du Sombre - not until all of those caught in the ringmaster's web have been freed...

Merri's only deformity is his friendly disposition. He does paint himself for the occasion, but he is otherwise a normal and functioning magical entity. His prowess with magic isn't enough to overthrow Sevina, but his own magics more than protect him from becoming ensnared in her web. This is due to the fact that Merri's magic disrupts Sevina's. He is the Ace that trumps the Queen.

Lumina Danglars,The Living Mermaid

Usually alone on her own most of the time, Lumina seems to always have a sad longing look in her eyes. She is often in her "fish tank" like home the Ringermaster prefers to keep her in, where her only way to the outside world is a large square window, since there's a metal grate the size of her tank locked just a foot above the water's surface. She is only let out at night well after all the guests and clean up staff have gone to sleep which leaves the poor girl lonelier than ever. Mina has found it easier to wait for the timer on the lock to ring and unlock for her, so she has learned to be quite patient. Due to being kept locked up most of the time she's quiet and rarely says anything even to her peers who seem to be as miserable as her.

She was injected with the DNA of a fish and the girl learned throughout her life that when she was on land she was as normal as could be but once in water her legs became a fish tail, her skin became pale and almost translucent, and she could actually breathe under the water. She had become a real mermaid but as she got older she found it more of a curse than a gift. Mina craved friendship outside of the circus people but she was stuck where she was, a prisoner of some sorts.
When a little girl Lumina's mother was in hopes of handing over her little girl over to a circus to pursue fame and fortune for her talent. For the little girl had an amazing ability to swim since she was a babe, she was agile and quite fast. Her mother called her "My Little Mermaid" and when the circus had finally come to town the mother spoke the the Ringmaster and Lumina was volunteered for a part in the show. The Ringmaster was impressed and agreed to take the girl but little did Mina know the Ringmaster had other plans for her.

similar to resident evil. we're a group of survivors, and any visitors that we get are people that we've found among the ruins of civilisation?
this is really basic i know
but thats what makes it awesome XD

Gaia is absolutely FULL of stuff for zombies, especially considering the Walking Dead promotional items, so that would be a really easy theme to host as well as encourage participation in. Vampires vs Werewolves should be avoided because that has been done to DEATH (see what I did there?). When I read Ink's suggestion, I instantly got the song Monster Mash stuck in my head, and now I'm envisioning a 1950's era monster party in a high school gym... is that too weird? 'Cause I'd totally make a wolf-man with a pompadour...

Oh if we go zombies we could through in a little interesting interaction element by having one of us be a Xombie. For those that don't know the Xombie series has a interesting twist with the rare occurrence where the zombie's brain is not devoured by the zombie virus and so retains its normal cognitive and mental faculties, although its memory is only to the point when they first rose from the grave. Would be an interesting deal to see people talking with a zombie who was trying to help them rather than eat them.
Oh if we go with the Monster Bash I call dips on the pompadour werewolf, just have to find a pompadour though lol
