This was not the first time Camelot had gotten himself stuck in a strange position in the middle of a fight with a monster. It was not the first time, either, that he had faced a youma that looked rather like a large wild cat. This was the first time, however, that said youma had actually managed to take his shield from him.
And leave him hanging by his arm from an awning, which was now rather broken and would probably be an expensive repair bill.
His shield was some distance down the street. The cat youma had it in its mouth for a bit, but apparently the hard metal had not been to its tastes. After shaking its head violently for a bit it tossed the shield surprisingly far for an animal monster. Thing. In any case, Camelot couldn't worry about that at the moment.
In truth, he owed a few less bruises to the awning. He had been thrown from the roof above, where the cat still remained, and fell through two such draperies before his arm hooked and caught in the metal ribbing of this one. He was only a couple stories up now, but his armor was jammed on the pipes.
At least they were creaking, which probably meant he would fall soon. It wouldn't hurt him, and he was trying to make it happen by pulling against the rail.
The youma that was prowling down the side of the building like it had suddenly discovered that was actually the floor and everyone else was walking sideways, however, probably would hurt him.

Pharos wasn't exactly to sure what it was she was feeling, and she wasn't totally inclined to go toward it after the encounter with Lesath, but at the same time she was a knight of chronos or rather a page and it was her duty to keep order right. Besides some of what she currently sensed wasn't all bad so she thought she better go check it out.
She was rather happy she decided it would be a good idea to check out what was going on because she saw a man, a knight hanging from a awning a bit and it looked like he was in need of help because something seemed to decide he might make a good lunch.
"I don't how you got stuck up there," called the tiny page," but let me just figure out a way up there real quick and I'll help you get down."
While she spoke she kicked off her dainty shoes knowing they'd not be much help to her, she didn't much care for shoes anyway. She knew she could jump pretty high, but she did not currently think that wise, incase she misjudged. She looked around trying to find a way up.

Camelot felt someone nearby and craned his head around to try and get a look. He struggled but it was very difficult to get a good angle to see whoever it was down below him. He saw the source of the small voice and tried to wave before he remembered he couldn't.
Stuck, right.
"That would be very kind of you," he called back, recognizing her aura as that of a Page. He was very glad to see her, or at least hear her, as it was incredibly frustrating to be stuck. He was embarrassed.
But then again, he should probably be used to this kind of stuff. Hell, it was almost disconcerting when something didn't go horribly wrong during a battle or patrol.
The metal brace began to buckle and it groaned as it sagged under his weight.
"Actually, I think I can get this thing to break soon, but you should be careful, my Lady, there is a youma-" he was saying, as the youma jumped over him and down to the street below, to round on Pharos. It snarled at her viciously, tail swishing behind it. It seemed it decided that Pharos would be an easier meal to get.

Pharos grinned and looked once more to the building, but stopped at the words from the Knight hanging above her, giving a nod only to be interrupted by the landing of a very large cat creatures.
She jumped slightly a bit startled, her eyes going wide of the creature, not entirely sure what it was suppose to do. Well she knew she had to get rid of it, but she wasn't really all to sure how to do that.
She decided for the moment she would just have to distract it while the knight fell. She hoped it didn't hurt to much. "I'll be fine," called up to the other before focusing on the youma.
"Man you sure are an ugly looking thing," she spouted grinning at the creature that could probably end her, head cocked the side. She stuck her tongue out and laughed running around the creature and proceeding to try to jump onto it back shouting, "shall we go for a ride!"

"I don't think I'm that bad look- oh," he realized she was speaking to the youma, and not him. It was still difficult to see her. He looked down and tried to pry himself free of the building while she had the youma distracted. That was not the safest looking beast he had ever seen.
He didn't want to be responsible for her getting hurt.
The metal brace buckled at last and Camelot was spilled to the floor. He tried to land on his feet but he was way not graceful enough to do that despite his best efforts. He was still half craned around from trying to look at the fight and he just didn't get his feet under himself in time. He stumbled and toppled with a loud clang as his armor met pavement.
At least he hadn't hurt himself.
He heard the youma making strange noises and looked up to see the Page riding it like it was a rodeo bull.
"Oh! Be careful!" he yelled, like a parent telling his child not to go down the slide face first. He scrambled to his feet and looked around for his shield. "Hold on, I'm coming!"
The youma, meanwhile, bucked and roared, swiping and doing everything in its power to try and get its unwanted guest off of its back. It had never had its food attach itself to his back before, but it was definitely not a fan.

Pharos couldn't help but to grin as she made it onto the back of the beast and it bucked wildly in an attempted to get her off. "Woah, there beast," she shouted loudly before laughing. Despite the danger in the situation she was obviously having fun!
The voice of the other had Pharos trying to scout him out while holding onto the youma for dear life, not an easy feat at all, but she did manage to see him on the ground not to far away. "I'm fine," she shouted, although the youma managed to unseat her and she was trying to climb back onto the beast.
"No rush," she said even though she had to release the youma and roll as it tried to roll onto its side to crush. She jumped up quick while the thing coming back at her and proceeded to grab onto its tail and running away toward the on coming mouth tail in hand. She hoped maybe she could make the thing bite itself although she barely hand a good hold with her tiny hands.

Well, at least she seemed like she was enjoying herself, and not scared! That was a relief, but also a worry to Camelot, as he wondered if she would be reckless and get herself hurt while he was trying to get to his weapon.
There was never a happy median, was there? He did not have the time to complain to himself about kids these days, though. He grabbed his shield from the ground and turned, seeing the youma trying to prevent Pharos from climbing back on to it.
Scrambling, Camelot ran over to the fight to try and help. Or at least prevent her from getting herself killed. The fact that she was still attached to it while it was trying to bite her was horrifying.
He slammed into the youma, its jaws snapping close and missing both its tail and Pharos, though it and Camelot went tumbling. He couldn't get his shield around quickly enough, and was caught in a mad struggle with the youma.

Pharos hadn't really been expecting the knight guy to slam into the youma, but it was lucky he did as she may have been bitten by the youma otherwise and she did not know how she was going to explain that one.
She frowned when she noticed the tail in her hand was forgotten by the youma who seemed to prefer trying to tear into the other guy. "Hey, stop that," she shouted!
Her shouting hardly matter, but Pharos got a good grip on the wiggling tail already in her hands and pulled down as hard as she could trying to pulled the youma back and gain it's attention again. She had completely forgotten about her cloth flower not really know just what to do with the item and was a very physical little page.
She continue to tug paying more attention to the tail end of the youma and not enough attention to the end that sported teeth.

The youma let out a terrible noise. No animal, youma or not, liked to have its tail pulled on. It was not a happy camper and it no longer ignored the smaller meal as she tugged away on its very sensitive tail.
Camelot was pinned under it, the youma heavy and its large paws very good for doing just that. He was struggling as best he could though, using his strength granted to him by his rank as a knight to his advantage.
Or so he thought, but the youma actually just moved away from him, stumbling awkwardly as it went but it was on a clear path. It was aiming to bite her, and it lashed out with its paw first to smack her away from its tail. Camelot wasn't fast enough to block that, but the youma's teeth met hard metal before it could chomp into soft Page flesh.
Camelot was on his knees in front of her, arm up, the youma biting down with its powerful jaws into his shield. He had never had any issues with his shield breaking or even buckling in this stage, as a knight, but he had to say that the bite made him a little nervous.
They needed to dust this thing.
"Stay behind me!" he told Pharos, though he had a sneaking suspicion that she might not listen to him. He could only hope, if she didn't, that she had a good weapon with her.

Pharos did not hear the noise the youma made in her focus trying to get the youma away from the other, but she did feel the blow from the large paw that knocked her away from the its tail. It was a bit dizzy, but she quickly gather her wits about her, not that she needed it entirely seeing as Camelot kept the beast from biting her.
He warned her to stay behind him and she gave him a look as if to ask was he completely mental. Still she did stay frowning at him, "We need to get rid of it and I don't really know how, so you gotta tell me what to do okay?"
She didn't want to be hurt or to see Camelot hurt either, but she also didn't think this was going to go over well if she stayed behind him, with the youma currently trying to eat him.

"Do you have a weapon?"
When he was a Page he had been lucky enough to get a small, wooden shield. Yes, it broke every time he used it but it still managed to hit pretty hard and he hoped that she had the same streak of luck. If she had something they could use to beat the thing into dust...
If not, he would have to use his crystal and his shield.
"We need to hit it enough for it to turn into dust, but be careful. I really don't want to see what these jaws can do to a human," he grunted as it pulled on his shield and nearly made him topple from his braced stance. He tried to keep its attention, though, so it didn't go after her again.
It would only work for so long. If she couldn't think of anything, he would step up and try to handle things.

Pharos frowned at the question, but she nodded pulling out the little cloth rose that looked more suited for decoration than battle. "I'm not sure it will be much help at all, but ..."
Pharos trailed off not really knowing what else to say. She did not particulary care for being unsure.
She nodded when Camelot explained what it was they need to do and the need to be careful. She understood that, during her time in the surrounding a spider monster had killed a person. She looked at the cloth flower, to the sheild than to the monster and grinned.
"I think I have an idea, but I gotta get back on its back. I think I can use the flower to distract it. You know like the dangle toys people use to play with there cats."
With that Pharos forgot the warning to stay behind Camelot and darted out around the youma in favor of jumping back onto it's back and trying to use the silly flower to catch its attention, inadvertently smacking it in the face in her attempt.

So she did have a weapon, but it was exactly the kind Camelot was hoping against. A little, papery looking flower was probably not going to do much against the youma, save get in its nose and maybe make it sneeze. If it was literally shoved in its nostril.
Maybe.
That did not seem like the best battle tactic, however.
Maybe Pharos had another idea. He checked back in just in time to hear her saying she was going to climb on the thing's back again. It had not gone as badly as he thought it could have before, but it was certainly not something he would recommend her trying again! He looked mortified by her gumption, making a face at her in an effort to dissuade her from her decision, but considering his arm was basically attached to a youma's mouth ala his shield at the moment he could do little else to stop her.
The youma might have wanted to play with the toy if she had not smacked it in its nose. It let go of Camelot's shield and reared back, swatting its massive paws for the flower not in playfulness, but to try and murder it. And the girl attached to it.
Camelot saw his chance and drove forward, the bottom of his shield extended outward. He threw all the force he could muster into it, slamming into the youma, right in its exposed belly. It made a strange, bestial gagging noise and then burst into dust. That left its rider without a mount, until she fell on top of Camelot.
"Oomph!"

Pharos had to grab onto the youma as it reared but and tried to claw her and her little flower to death. She reared back herself trying to avoid the claws. She didn't see Camelot charging or slamming into the youma, but the sudden lose of a youma beneath her was apparent immediately.
She let out a small yelp, as she fell, landing on Camelot. That most certainly didn't feel good, but she didn't have time to think about it. She jumped up and held out a hand to Camelot.
"Sorry about that. I didn't realize when you said dust it, that you meant it literally. Um that the first time I had to do that despite being a page for almost a year now. Guess I'm a little behind everyone else." She gave a small laugh and grinned at Camelot.
"Im Pharos, by the way. Pharos of Chronos. Who are you?"

Camelot was probably not the softest thing to land on, considering all his armor and random bits of metal sticking up from it. His elbows were particularly dangerous, but they were on the floor so she was safe from those.
He groaned and opened his eyes, head swimming a bit from the jarring fall.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Yeah, they ah.... turn into dust," he said with a sheepish look. That much was apparent now, considering they were both covered in a fine coating of youma dust. He knew what if felt like to be behind everyone, though. He was one of the oldest people out on the hunt at the moment, as far as he knew.
When he had first powered up he felt like he was way behind the curve, watching all these kids and teenagers able to do so much more than him and feeling like a fool while he learned. But he hadn't given up.
"My name is Camelot. Knight of Earth. It's a pleasure to meet you, Pharos." He smiled at her, offering her his hand once they figured out how to detach from one another and he was sitting a safe, small distance away from her.
