Prepare for a block of text
So I went to Universal Studios with my brother, cousin, and two of their friends this summer and it was fun. Well... until this discussion about how white girls are superior to everyone else sweatdrop There was this whole thing about how the perfect girl is white and wears skinny jeans and vans. Kinda bummed out the whole trip for me, being a black girl. It's not even that I need their approval or anything it's just that wherever I go there's a lot of hate on dark skinned females in general:/ Mind you that there was only one "white" person in our little group.
This topic became a little running joke sort of thing throughout the day and they kept repeating the same thing over and over. stare Later on, I asked one of them (who I considered to be like a cool guy friend) why black girls couldn't be pretty and he said something about being ghetto and all that. He later tried to amend this by telling me that since I haven't been on Maury for a paternity test that I'm not "ignorant like those other chicks." So yay~ I still can't be pretty but at least I'm not ghetto. xp btw he's half black if that matters.
What does race have to do with beauty anyways?
Sorry I needed to vent. There hasn't been much activity around so I thought, "why not?"

It is how someone views Blackness. It seems that your friends view certain "ugly" characteristics with being Black.
My questions to your friend would be, "What about the White people on Maury? What about ghetto white people (they do exist)? So is your mother/father ugly (works better if his mom is black)?
But in the least amount of offense, they are just ignorant in the sense they just do not know about the beauty of Blackness, the rich heritage, or what it truly means to be associated with the term Black.

You should release your attachment to wanting people to view us favorably.
No one *has* to like anyone or feel a certain way about them.
If he doesn't feel anything positive about black women, so? Even if you could change his mind it likely wouldn't be through words.

there is a beauty to people who live differently. Yes ignorance is ugly and I don't associate "Ghettoness" with ignorance as ignorance doesn't just come from one place. You can be the richest man in the world and considered civilized as ******** and still be as ignorant and wretched and crazy as a fish with titties.
I know I went a bit off topic. But we know people are beautiful and especially black women. Just because someone doesn't say. Doesn't mean they don't have those beautiful black people they would kill a hydra for just to look at them.
But "ghettoness" trade marked by me. Is not as bad and is infact beautiful to me.
now I know what ghettoness is associated with. Sixteen baby daddies and so on.
but the ghetto is just a place of living that is simple. I know there is unfairness and problems.
but to me its like looking at indigenous people who live outside of large cities. There is a beauty in that simple living. And there is a closeness and a bond then there is with other areas.
so to me ghetto chicks are gorgeous.
not ignorant chicks, not uncivilized chicks.
ghetto is beautiful to me.
don't attack me I'm fragile. Nah jk go ahead.

You need new friends! I'm Black...come be my friend I don't mind. I happen to be quite beautiful to. heart I know I'm late but whatever I'm sure you'll see this...no one ever posts on here lol.....gotta love GAIA been on and off for like...years.
