Setting: The purple with a hint of orange male had done it again. He had gotten himself lost again. He was doing good and keeping to a small area that he knew fairly well but than he had thought he had saw something and gave chase. Well when he finally gave up he found out that he was yet again lost. He let out an irritated growl as he continued threw the forest that he found himself in.

Green light filtered down through the tall trees. Moss formed soft, springy cushions underfoot. Birds chirruped happily and small creatures scurried around, intent on their daily business. It was a lovely morning!
Avatre glowered at the trees as she stalked over the ground. What the heck was she doing in another forest? Nothing good ever seemed to come of it; that time she got lost and met Kairon, whom she'd liked well enough but they were both a bit too headstrong. The trees there had been so thick there was no way to fly out. Then there was that dark, thick forest she'd wandered near. At some weird plant since there wasn't much meat to hunt, which must have attributed to that unremembered night that ended in children.
Well, if she had to get stuck in another forest at least this one was wide open; she probably could have even flown around between the trees if she felt like being acrobatic.
Avatre paused in her walking, mind wandering to her son. Last she saw him he had been in the desert (he preferred home) in the company of a young vixen. She'd been battling with smug and protective feelings, and thought that maybe Kiran could use some time without a mother's supervision. Hence, the forest....
She sighed loudly, looking around at the trees again and unable to quash her resentment.

Tox growled and grumbled at the forest around him mumbling things under his breath. Like how the forest was stupid and dumb and looked like everything was dead. As he grumbled he would kick a stick or two here and there and a couple rocks showing his displeasure about his current situation.

Avatre resumed her wandering, wondering where she was going to spend the night. In the desert she had a cliff-side cave where she slept or took shelter from bad weather. Even with all the trees hedging around her, Avatre didn't like the thought of sleeping in the open, on he ground. She'd heard of foxes who slept in the trees themselves, but a glance up at the thin, puny, needle-covered branches she was sure that even if she was so inclined to sleep in one they wouldn't hold her.
Sighing and grumbling under her breath Avatre continued to wander, trying to find maybe a source of water or an upward slope of land. She was starting to resign herself to having to find a decent clump of bushes, when finally she stumbled on an upward slanting of land. Feeling hopeful, she paused and looked around, trying to figure what direction might hold the most promise. There looked to be a promising rise off to her right, so she picked her way over the ground to check it out.
Ten minutes later Avatre paused again, sitting back on her haunches to stare at the bluff in front of her. A glance upward showed it was at least ten feet high; if she had a mind to she probably could have jumped up to the top. The edge looked crumbly though, so probably not a good idea...
Sighing, Avatre looked around back at the forest. The bluff was just a sheer rise of land, no caves or indents of any use to her; she'd have to keep looking. She looked around into the forest, getting her bearings and trying to decide where she wanted to head next.

As Tox walked down into the forest since he was on a slope he wasn't paying much attention to where he was going. His thoughts were focused on trying to get out of here and how this place looked like it was going to fall apart. He ended walking of an edge of what he didn't know. All he knew was one minute he was walking the next he was falling hitting something bouncing off of whatever and tumbling into rocks and sticks on the forest floor. As he went down he grunted with each impact.

Avatre yelped in surprise as first dirt and rocks, then something large and heavy hit her from above. The large object rolled off of her, giving Avatre a brief glimpse of purple, before she could react. Instantly her wings mantled and she bared her fangs in a silent snarl, sharp, snow-white, and lethal. She half-crouched to the ground, dividing her gaze between the top of the bluff and the crashing of the large object in the forest. It didn't sound like it had gone far...
The sound died out as the object came to a halt; the only sound was the quiet hissing of dirt and the muted clicks of falling rocks as the land at the top of the bluff settled. Avatre held her pose for a few more seconds, then cautiously straightened up. She moved her wings a bit closer to her back and dropped the silent snarl. Her bronze eyes glared suscpiously in the direction where the large object that had hit her had stopped, wondering what it was and debating whether she wanted to go find out.

Tox was coughing up the dirt he had inhaled and than the dirt he ate when he hit the ground. He heard a snarl from somewhere to his right. His face was covered in dirt; eyes, nose, mouth you name it. His head was hurting each time his heart beat. He groaned and rubbed dirt out of his eye before slowly standing up and looking around.

Avatre heard a groaning sound in the trees, a little ahead and to her left. She took a cautious step forward, wings fluttering a little as they half-mantled over her back. "Hello," she called, debating whether she should get any closer than the single step she'd taken.

Tox heard a voice though he wasn't sure what it said. He shook his head and stumbled toward the sound. "Hello?" he called out. He stubbed his paw on a rock and cursed it low under his breath.

Avatre's ears twitched as a voice reached them. She took a couple more steps towards where she thought it had come from. "Who's there," she called harshly. Considering whoever was there was probably the heavy object that had fallen on her, her tone as justifiable. She scanned the treeline, trying to spot the speaker.

T Something? That was a very bizarre name. The hurting head was a given though; judging from the pain in her shoulder, the male had hit bone when he fell.
Avatre took several more steps forward until she spotted the stirring bundle of purple fur on the ground. "I'm the one you fell on top of," she said in a wry voice.

"Did I really?" Tox asked than thought about it. He swore kind of loudly before apologizing. "I'm sorry. I hope I didn't hurt you....I... Are you alright?" He finally decided to ask as he slowly made his way towards the voice.

Avatre snorted. Anyone proficent in the language of snorts would have read volumes in the single syllable. Since the male had apparently hit himself on the head though, she decided to take pity and translate her snort for him. Just this once, of course.
"A normal falling on a Daeva from the height of perhaps five or six feet? It would take a lot more than that to harm me." She turned her head around and gave her shoulder a few licks, smoothing down the violet fur. "I won't even tingle in another couple hours."

Tox's brows scrunched up on his face as he heard the other fox snort. What was the snort for? Was it to make fun of him for how clumsy he was? That made his blood boil. He knew he was clumsy and hated it. What he hated even more was other laughing about.
But before he could say anything they explained themselves. He landed on a Daeva... well that made a lot of sense with the snort and just how they were talking. Not that it was a stereotypical daeva but all daevas had a hint of daevaness. "As that maybe I am still sorry for it though I'm glad I didn't hurt you."
