Leenah-Sesi was searching around the jungle. She hoped she would find someone who could help her find her cubs. By now they weren't cubs anymore, she reminded herself. For all she knew they could have cubs of their own. The thought that she missed out on her cubs whole lives saddened her. However she wanted to be there for them, even if they were adults now. She just had to find them first.

The jungle was a good spot for her, she thought. It was nice and cool there. The only problem was that, because of the trees, she couldn't run as quickly. As she walked, her stomach gave a loud growl. “Oh stomach quiet you. If you be that loud you will wake someone up!” She said. It wouldn't be good to have the locals upset with her because she threw off their sleeping. Lately she had been going to sleep early so she could wake up before the sun rise. The only problem with that was that she felt she had to be quiet.

Ankou was watching the strange purple cheetah from up in her tree. It had been some time since she had a visitor in her forest. She grinned down at the cheetah. This was the perfect opportunity to try out her plan of a short term mate. Ankou had always had a problem of falling in love but than after a few days she would get bored. She decided the best solution was to have short term mates. It was the perfect solution for her, she thought.

She would romance it up with someone she liked and they would become devoted to her. However she would only spend a limited amount of time with them. Once she was tired of them she would ask them to wait for her. While they waited she would go off and find a new mate and bring them to her first mate. She wanted to start a sort of harem for herself. It would be good for her to have some variety. They would make one large beautiful family.

This cheetah would make a good start, she thought as she climbed down from the tree. It didn't matter that she was a cheetah. If anything it made it more interesting. Ankou wasn't going to worry about species or gender. Why should she? Gender was meaningless to her. She did have to admit that she would prefer more feminine characteristics in her mates, however having the occasional masculine mate wouldn't be that made either.

She jumped down right in front of the cheetah. “Hello there!” She said in a singsong voice. “Whatcha doing so far in the forest by yourself? You're not lost are you? If you are I could help you find your way out.” Ankou smiled at her.

Leenah jumped back when the green lion appeared in front of her. Was it common for lions to just jump down from trees? She would have to ask around to find that answer, she thought. “Ah well I might be lost. Actually I am probably lost. You see I don't even know where I am supposed to be going. For all I know I might be right on track.” She hoped that she was on track.

It was nice to know that the forest had such nice lioness in it though! She hadn't met to many strangers so far. It was always nice to meet a kind lion. She sat down on a patch of grass, deciding she could use a break from traveling. That and she didn't want to appear rude to the locals. Who knew how long she would be staying there.

“Well I am traveling alone sadly because my old mate Dhavlen and I had a bit of a fight. I did not like the way he treated our cubs. One of my friends watched the cubs for me, while I dealt with Dhavlen and well, the fight lasted for a while. I believe my friend must have taken the cubs else where to keep them safe. I just don't know where that safe place could be.” She explained.

“Ah where are my manners! Here I am telling you my problems and you don't even know my name. I am so sorry! My name is Leenah-Sesi.” She introduced herself.

Ankou listened as the cheetah explained her story. She wasn't really interested in the cheetahs past romances or her missing cubs. If she wanted this cheetah as one of her mates she would have to convince her that her cubs will be fine where they are. Ankou though was definitely interested in the cheetah. She seemed to have an absent minded personality. It was something Ankou that was adorable.

“Leenah-Sesi it is very nice to meet you. My name is Ankou. I would like to welcome you to my jungle. Please feel free to stay here as long as you wish.” She gave Leenah a little bow. “If there is anything you need, anything from food to shelter, you name it, just ask for it and I will get it for you.”

She would always provide for anyone she thought could become one of her future mates. Of course they would eventually have to start fending for themselves. She couldn't always be around to provide for them.

Leenah was surprised about how helpful the lioness was. “Well I am a tad hungry. If you can tell me where some prey is I can certainly go hunting myself. I wouldn't want to have someone wait on me. That doesn't seem fair. Plus I haven't hunted in a really long time.” She said with a smile. “Is there anywhere I could stay for a little bit? I would like to rest in your beautiful jungle for the rest of the day and tonight. Tomorrow I will have to go about searching again though.”

She would search night and day for her cubs. It didn't matter to her. She would continue her search till she found them. Looking around she decided this area would be a fun place to be. She hoped that her cubs were in a similar place. “Is it common for lions to jump out of trees here?” she asked curiously.

“You have had such a long journey. Please it would make me happy to catch you dinner.” Ankou replied. “I want to be here for you, helping you and protecting you.” She stepped closer to Leenah and let her tail dangle over the cheetah's body in a protective way.

“I'll let you stay in one of my dens. It isn't that far. I made it at the most beautiful location in the jungle.” Ankou explained. That den was her favorite. She almost always took visitors there that she liked. “I will take you there now if you would like. It isn't that far away. Plus for a cheetah like you, you could always just dash there. Once you know where it is, it shouldn't take you long to get there.”

She laughed at Leenah's last question. “You are just too adorable! From my experience lions don't usually hang out in trees. I just really like it up there! I've always loved climbing since I was a cub. My parents could never keep me on the ground for very long. Alright now why don't I take you to my den and you can rest your pretty little head of yours while I go hunting for some food.”

She starting running through the jungle, going this way and that, avoiding the trees, jumping over bushes. She had been running this route since she was young. Why would anyone want to live else where, she thought as she enjoyed the smell of the jungle.

“Well alright!” Leenah said, not wanting to argue with the lioness. If the lioness wanted her to rest, than Leenah would take that opportunity. Even better yet she would be resting in the most beautiful part of the jungle. She wondered if she would meet anyone as nice as Ankou on her journey to find her cubs.

She followed the lioness carefully, mimicking her movements so she could avoid trees and other things in the forest. It was astounding to her that a lioness could run so fast and still avoid all the obstacle in front of her. If her cubs were somewhere in this jungle she was sure this lioness could help her find them.

Ankou slowed as they approached the den. The den was located at a hollowed out tree. The tree was huge compared to all the others trees around it. There were flowers in bloom around the tree, some of the flowers were even growing out of the tree. Ankou took a moment to admire her home, also giving Leenah a chance to catch up. She hoped that the cheetah would like it.

“This is my home. Feel free to rest up while I am gone. There is a small creek that way,” she pointed with her paw, “if you get thirsty. I shouldn't be gone too long.”

Leenah looked at the tree. There was so much life in it! She could see flowers and birds living there. Vines covered the bark of the tree, climbing up to the highest branches. This really was a beautiful spot. She felt lucky to have a chance to see it. If she wasn't on such an important journey she would like very much to stay here longer.

“Thank you so much for your help. It means a lot to me. If there is anything you want me to do in return just say so and I will do it.” She could be helpful if given the chance. So would be sure to repay the lioness someway. She entered the tree den and curled up. There was a patch of grass in the tree den. She curled up there. “Your den is very beautiful. I can see why you love it so much.”

“It is amazing. Now rest up. I'll figure out someway for you to repay be, but for now don't worry about it. If I think of something you can do I'll tell you.” Ankou said. She gave Leenah a soft smile before heading back toward the heart of the jungle. Leenah was so soft and gentle, she thought as she ran. With her harem she always liked the idea of having cubs as well to join their family. Leenah would make a good mother for the cubs. Perhaps when she had a male join her family she could have him help provide cubs for her? She thought with a smile. She hoped it wouldn't be long till she had a huge family.
