 Lapin raced through the trees, far too fast but she liked the challenge of avoiding the large tree trunks and the way the wind felt on her face. Going slow was not exactly an option for the small foal, and that was why she would often venture away from her herd in search of fun and fast adventure. Back at the herd there was her family, mainly her sister to play with, but Poe liked the type of play that was slow and safe. Lapin played with her sister a lot but every now and then she just had to get out stretch her legs, run as fast as possible and have some real exciting fun. Letting out a laugh of joy as she came super close to a large oak tree, her tail had brushed along the rough bark as she dashed past, Lapin was having a great time.
And then all of a sudden the trees were gone.
Lapin skidded to a halt, spinning around quickly to see her fast paced ways had brought her to the other side of the trees already and now she was standing in a meadow. This wasn't where she had expected to end up, but of course not being able to see over most obstacles and being somewhat unfamiliar with the area meant she could have ended up just about anywhere. Well there was surely fun to be had here! Too bad Lightfoot hadn't come along, he would have liked this meadow since it was full of dandelions and clover! Letting out a laugh Lapin ran a bit further into the meadow before flopping to the ground, rolling around in the soft green grass.

 It was a particular beautiful day. Clear skies, birds fluttering about humming their songs, and a gentle breeze that tickled the leaves of the trees. Utterly beautiful and Madhu was soaking up as much sunlight as he possible could within the little meadow. It was days just like today where he liked to be out in the sunlight rather than hidden underneath the shades of the forests. However, instead of exploring about the young male just wanted to lounge about. Nothing wrong with that, right? Eyes closed as he sprawled out his limbs with a big ‘ol yawn. He licked his lips, opening his eyes as he looked around. No one was nearby and there wasn’t a threatening scent on the breeze. All was well…Or so, he thought. Ears flickering as eyes blinking as he saw something small gallop into the clearing…Squinting his eyes to get a better view, he realized that it was a foal.
“A foal?” he blinked, astonished to just see a random foal gallop into the clearing. He looked back from where she had come to see if maybe the foal’s parents were coming out as well, but no one came. “How odd,” he stood up and walked towards the little one. It wasn’t safe for a foal to be out and about on his/her own.
“Hello,” he called out with a warm smile in hopes that he wouldn’t scare the foal away.

Lapin was too busy enjoying the grass to realize that someone was approaching. Fall was just around the corner and that meant the grass would be dry and unpleasant soon so she needed to take advantage of the stuff while it was still green, soft and delicious. Rolling this way and that Lapin was having the time of her life. When the voice called out she froze in mid-squirm, one of her hooves held up in the air. Hey someone was here! Lapin was quick to roll over, get to her hooves and look up at the stallion. Her pelt was covered in bits of grass but all that mattered to her in this moment was a potential play mate. Sure he was an adult but adults could play, right? Of course they could, mom and grandpa and Olo and sometimes, though very rarely, Syrrin would play with her and they were all adults. They were also all family but she didn't think that was the only reason they played with her.
"Hi!" She said in an excited tone, her short fluffy tail wiggling behind her. "I'm Lapin, who are you? You have neat colors! You kinda remind me of mud, or at least your top half does, it's like really dark mud. Hey you have red eyes, that's neat! My mom has red eyes. Hey where did you get that blanket? It's very pretty, I with I had a blanket. Do you want to play? I love to play. We could do lots of things, like run and jump and search for things...hey are you from around here?" Her excitement had caused all of that to come out in one long sentence and now that it was over she started prancing around him, looking up and down, admiring his markings but also just getting some energy out of her system.
