Personality: As a feather, she seems to be very much intune with the oceans. She has bubbles encased around her and even has her very own friendly fish; Flounder.
As a child, Ariel is still intune with the oceans. She is still followed around by Flounder as well as the aura of bubbles that encased her.
Background: Ariel was not found in a village like most other Hououza; She was simply found floating beneath the ocean in the middle of the magic kingdom. Because of her special aura and the way she looked, the person that found her decided to name her Ariel, after the little mermaid herself.

Ariel was found one day in the depths of the ocean in the mists of the magic kingdom. Her feather form was just floating beneath the waves of the water... Since no other being was around to claim her except her current Guardian; Muffin. Being that Muffin has never seen anything like this before, she picked up the little feather and began to head off with it. As she walked, she noticed a few different things about this feather unlike any other feather around here.
This feather was red in color which was surrounded by small bubbles. It had a mysterious aura around it that suggested that she was none other then the little mermaid herself. With her came her fishy friend Flounder, it seemed that they were the best of friends even from the begining. She also had a particuarly wonderful smell that surrounded her. It was like walking along side of the beach on a sunny summer afternoon.
Muffin had decided that instead of trying to sell this feather for a profit, she would keep it and raise it. The feather was a species known as Hououza Kodomo or the Phoenix Children. Muffin had always been fascinated by them but was never able to obtain one for herself. It seemed that most Hououza were rather picky in whom they choose to reveal themselves to. Luckily Muffin will finally get her chance of raising one from a feather to an adult.
From that day on, Muffin took the best care she could offer of the little feather, hoping that some day it would grow up to be a very beautiful and successful Hououza.

Feather: Ariel's personality as a feather was a bit hard to distinguish. But from what I have noticed, she is rather shy when it comes to meeting someone for the first time. It takes her a few moments to open up completley. She is very friendly once she opens up.
Child: Ariel's personality as a child has changed quite a bit since she was a feather. She is now, for some reason, quite a bit more shy than she used to be. However, she does get very talkative when there is a subject being talked about that interests her; mainly the sea. Although she has become a tad bit older, she is still my little mermaid.

Feather: Even at her feather stage, it is obvious of some likes and dislikes that Ariel has. She seems to enjoy the cool sension you get once inside the water and the feeling of freedom as you reach the depths of the ocean. However, she dislikes a few things as well. Not being in the water every moment seems to bother her and being around other Hououza makes her extremely shy and nervous. It would seem that she is still too shy yet to associate with other Hououza feathers. She'd rather them approach her..even if it takes her some time to warm up to them.
Child: Now that Ariel has matured a little bit more, her likes and dislikes are more obvious than before. She still enjoys the cool sension you get once inside the water and the feeling of freedom as you reach the depths of the ocean. She is still a tad shy of other Hououza, but not so much nervous anymore, though she hasn't really made any contact with any other Hououza's just yet. She also seems to like the scent that the beach gives off when you first step out onto the sand.
